“I reached out to Ridgewood Taco Factory to host a surprise birthday party, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience. Aidan, the owner, was incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process.

For one set price per person, we had unlimited plates of five different types of tacos, empanadas, chips, salsa, guacamole, elotes, churros, and rice pudding, all served hors d’oeuvres-style with a waitress walking around with fresh plates of food throughout the party. Beer, sangria, and margaritas were included as well, which made everything so easy for us as hosts.

Aidan went above and beyond by creating a special taco just for the birthday girl and even printing custom menus for the occasion. We weren’t expecting that at all, and it was such a thoughtful, sweet addition that made the party feel even more special.

The food was fantastic. Everyone was raving about the tacos, and the rice pudding was an especially huge hit, it was served with these cinnamon sugar chips and diced mango and was SO good. Even the French fries we ordered for the kids were amazing! Everything came out hot and fresh, and we could actually see the food being prepared throughout the party.

The restaurant itself is adorable, I barely needed any decorations. I was initially a little worried that it might feel tight with 30+ people, but it was honestly the perfect size. The cocktail-style setup worked so much better for a party like this than a traditional sit-down dinner because everyone could walk around, talk, eat, and enjoy themselves.

Our waitress was incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating, she even took a bunch of pictures for us, and the bartender was great too, he definitely knew how to make a good, strong drink!

From the planning to the food to the service, the entire experience was wonderful. Aidan and his staff made everything so easy for us and helped make the birthday feel genuinely special. I would absolutely recommend Ridgewood Taco Factory for a party or event or even just for take-out.

I had passed by Los Tacos No. 1 several times, but the line was always so long that I never stopped. This time, maybe because the weather wasn’t great, there was hardly any line, so I decided to give it a try.

And wow—it was so, so good! The tacos were absolutely delicious. Now I understand why there is always a line here.

I tried two tacos for $11. A little pricey for two tacos, but honestly, that’s pretty much Manhattan prices. And they were SO good! The ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were amazing.

It’s a small, cozy spot with 3 tables inside, but the atmosphere is really nice and the staff is super friendly.

Definitely a little gem! If you love tacos, you should give this place a try. I’ll definitely be back! 🤤“

“Just wow! Having been to Taqueria Ramirez, I already knew the tacos at Carnitas Ramirez weren’t going to let me down. And they certainly didn’t! Every taco I had was outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the corn tortillas were top notch. There’s also a nice assortment of salsas and toppings at a DIY counter so you can dress them up however you like. Between three of us who visited, we ordered all of the taco options. The carne asada, pollo asado, and adobada tacos were a hit - the meat was flavorful and tender. The cactus was just okay, and the only flavor was spicy. We all got flour tortillas, which were soft and held up well. The person making my tacos made part and then made someone else’s in between, so I think he got confused and tossed a bunch of onions in mine, even though I specified no onions. I understand mistakes happen, but he covered it with guac sauce and then said “no onions” when handing them to me. I ended up having to pick them out but still enjoyed the tacos. The chips and guac are really good and fresh, and the red agua fresca (I forgot the flavor) that was recommended to me was also very good.
As far as the location, it was conveniently on the way from Battery Park to Brooklyn Bridge. No seating, just bar tops for a quick meal. No restrooms either. Bright and pretty clean for how busy it is.“

“I rarely leave reviews bc I’m too lazy to login and do it. But for TacOmar, I had to! These are hands down the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. Tacos have never really blown me away, until now.

They are fresh, the flavors balance so well together, and they’re cooked to perfection. The green sauce is quite spicy so be cautious if you don’t handle spice well. But it pairs so well with the tacos.

In Arabic, after an incredible meal we say to the chef, tislam edak (literal translation: may your hands be safe) aka bless your hands! That’s what came to mind when I had these.“
