Best Mexican food in Manhattan I’ve had! Fantastic chicken quesadilla: juicy and well seasoned shredded chicken, good cheese lettuce ratio, and a great crisp. Great flavored birria consome. Delicious chips and salsa. Pastor burrito had great flavor. Horchata was nicely spiced with cinnamon. And great service - we ordered more salsa and chips, and they made the salsa on the spot for us (they had run out).
I was going to Tio Pío, nearby, to get my burrito fix. Mostly because there was one guy there who made them well. So when he left, I went elsewhere. I went to Jos Tacos and was greeted warmly and recommended some items as I was clearly a first timer. I got the Al Pastor Burrito which included a side of green hot sauce. Amazing and authentic taco spot!! The staff was super friendly, the service was relatively quick, and the food was so good. Honestly one of the best Mexican spots in the east village! I got this Al pastor burrito, which was great, and my buddy got the tacos. He said they were the best he's had in a while. Don't hesitate to try this spot it's phenomenal!
