“Fantastic food, twist on classic Americana. Great drinks and service”
“Traveled from out of town to see a friend but also maybe mostly to eat the spicy chicken katsu that I’ve dreamt of since Mini Mart/Mama Yoshi’s used to be a pop up at All Night Skate and we would go sit outside in the cold and enjoy the food and a cocktail. Moved out of reach in 2022 and my life has not been complete without the sandwhich I’ve evangelized across several countries and continents. Thankfully as spicy or at least close to as spicy as it has always been. Thanks for keeping the quality and quantity the same and the prices really much closer than I expected. And sick merch per usual.”
“Got the VCR 16 pie. The Cesar salad with chicken cutlet and parm garlic bread sticks. Pizza was definitely above average a smash between old world and modern style. Thin crust but not to thin. Bread sticks were classic the side garlic butter sauce is a nice complement.
The Cesar salad is as advertised incredible. 100% recommend. Dressing and cheese is perfect.
On 4 stars for service because they didnt have to go utensils at all, even when asked.
Atmosphere seemed pretty good though I did take out.”

“Food was good and friendly customer service. I will recommend everyone this place.”
“The food is amazing! We had the mussels, Brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish sandwich, and burger. The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was so much fun. Really had a laugh at the bathroom with all the googly eyes.”

“Had a fabulous first time at Il Gigante. Sat at the bar - shout out to Matthew and Kayla for taking such good care of us. Great ambience, not too loud, but still a fun atmosphere. Food was exceptional. The pasta and all the ingredients were fresh and portion sizes were hefty! Great price for the food and drinks. Just all around fabulous! Cheers!!!”

“This is a bonafide American Burger and Fries establishment. They've got a simple menu, executed expertly. Fastfood chains these days forgot the magic that was cooking with beef tallow. The burger and fries here hit the spot just right, and you can enjoy your food outside in the small public seating area where there are sometimes events like performing artists going on!”
“I placed an order late Saturday night and waited an hour but Door Dash canceled the order and my sweets never arrived. I tried again Sunday morning and I was delighted to receive what I ordered in addition to some extra treats for the trouble from the previous night. So very much appreciated. Everything was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much.”
“I was first today by accident lol but I got the dill party. Sandwich was dope as hell, and the people there including the customers are are nice as hell. was a great time going there 10 mins early got to talk to all the customers about the food was great.”
“Excellent food, nice selection of snd beer and dessert was outstanding. Will definitely revisit.”
“I tried Ask Alita on a solo adventure some months ago and am so happy to have found it! The space is cozy, the wine selection is great without being overwhelming, and the snacks are excellent. I recently brought my husband on Valentine’s Day and was again impressed! I am excited to continue being a patron!”

“Had a lovely meal tonight. The three of us shared the Kee Mao with chicken, the Crispy Three Flavors Duck, and the Hat Yai Fried Chicken. The duck and the Kee Mao were the standouts for us. The staff were really friendly, and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Will happily return to try more dishes!”
“Vegan What?!! Omg i just tried this place today because they had vegan options, and I'm so glad i did!!! Absolutely delicious! I had Vegan Cheese Pizza and Vegan Pepperoni Roll.
The Vegan Cheese Pizza: yum, nice under carriage, melted cheese, sauce delish!
Vegan Pepperoni Roll:
This blew it out the park for me! This roll had me double take and check if it was vegan lol. Flavor was phenomenal in my opinion.
I def recommend this place especially because they cater to vegan and non vegans and full of Sabor!!!”
“The best restaurant in the area ... food, service, drinks, and ambience!!!”

“Great coffee, just like in their other locations, but they really should upgrade the sizes of their cups to be more in line with the average sizes served in the area. For example, they seem to be using an extra small cup and making that the same price as somewhat larger cups are selling for in the area.”
“Wonder has been one of our most consistent go-tos. Pickup is usually easy, the system works, the space is clean, and the food has honestly surprised me from day one. When they first opened, it felt like every order was dialed in, like the kitchen cared.
I’ve tried a ton of the menu and there are staples I keep coming back to: the salmon is always generously portioned and perfectly cooked, the sauces and capers are on point, and the broccolini is genuinely one of the best sides I’ve had anywhere - that char + acidity goes with everything. Even the simple stuff like fries and potatoes hit when they’re done right.
That’s why I’m leaving this review: lately I’ve had a stretch of 5-6 orders with small misses that didn’t used to happen - missing toppings, uneven pizzas, a pizza with a huge bubble, broccolini missing the lemon dressing, stuff like that. Not enough to stop ordering, but enough that it makes me stick to the “safe” items instead of exploring.
Still a big fan, still ordering regularly, just hoping the consistency snaps back to how it was because Wonder at its best is hard to beat.”
“The nicest guy of all New York works here. I wish I had gotten his name but he was working the register. If I didn’t live in Astoria I would come buy something here all the time because of how nice he was.”
“Really solid Dunkin’ location. The line moved quickly and the staff stayed friendly and efficient even while it was busy. My iced coffee was made perfectly and the donuts were fresh. It’s a convenient stop when you need a quick pick-me-up, and the store itself looked clean and well maintained. I’d definitely stop here again.”
“Awesome place. Peaceful environment. Clean, safe, and on time for whatever you taste buds desire. Oh, they also sell great nutrition drinks. Top of the line for less than the manufacturers dime. Come visit. Especially on Fridays after 2 p.m..
Thx for making our community a better place. 😉”
“Been coming here for years. Their food is amazing, always fresh and prepared neatly. I usually go for the cheeseburger deluxe or the Summer Slim smoothie. Unbelievable stuff. The service is quick and the staff are friendly. Never been to a better deli, to be quite honest.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Here’s a polished, clearer, and more composed version of your review while keeping the strong sentiment and message intact:
This place is nowhere near authentic Cuban cuisine — not even if it were sitting right next to Havana. What they call Ropa Vieja is basically just beef stew. There’s absolutely no understanding of Cuban culture, flavors, or hospitality, which makes sense considering they are not Cuban.
When you ask for something as basic and traditional as moro to go with Ropa Vieja, they act like it’s an unusual request and explain that it’s not included. Their “solution” is to mix watered‑down black beans with white rice and whatever else they decide to throw in. It’s not even close.
The décor doesn’t help either. A few cigar boxes here and there, but most of it is Santa Muerte imagery — so, as you can guess, not Cuban at all. I don’t fault anyone for trying, but don’t advertise something you clearly don’t know how to make. Even something as simple and essential as hoja de laurel — bay leaf — is missing entirely, both in sight and in flavor.
Overall, it feels like a place run by young people without the cultural background or culinary knowledge to deliver what they’re selling.
If you want, I can also rewrite it in a more formal, humorous, or sharper tone.”
“Love this place!
So happy it’s just around the corner from me ☺️. The bartenders are amazing, Jessica is such a sweetheart and makes the absolute best drinks. The owner is super cool and really sets the tone for the great vibes here.
The cook always puts out delicious finger foods which are perfect for snacking while drinking. I especially love when they do karaoke nights and bring in live bands, it’s always a fun time. And when DJ Sound Nice plays there, he always has the place rocking with all types of music.
This spot is a total gem—great atmosphere, great people, and always a good time!”

“Great ice cream with really unique flavors. Pricing is also pretty decent. The only hang up is the extremely long lines. While the wait time is annoying and would have made this rating 3-4 stars, I have noticed the lovely Spanish lady on Saturday is pretty quick and does her best to serve everyone in a timely manner. Even with it being as busy as it is she always pleasant and wears a smile.”
“My visit to La Casita was beyond excellent! The food was packed with flavor, and the margaritas were absolutely delicious. While the food and drinks alone make this place worth visiting, what truly stood out was the service.
Neyra and Omar were amazing. Neyra was our server, and together they worked seamlessly as a team, making sure we were taken care of from start to finish. Their attentiveness and hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable.
After that first visit, La Casita quickly became one of my family’s favorite spots, and we find ourselves coming back often. Highly recommend!”
“We came by (and had always wanted to since before they opened) for our wedding anniversary. We were a party of four (my husband, our son, daughter, and I), we were promptly seated in the back (they asked where we wanted to sit). Our waiter was very courteous and friendly. Our son ordered pork buns and scallion pancakes; they were very filling for him, and he enjoyed them very much. Our daughter got a bowl of chicken shoyu ramen, unfortunately it was too much for her - she enjoyed her noodle soup very much. Husband ordered pork gyoza and chicken yaki ramen, he was very delighted and it tasted great. I went with tonkotsu ramen. All the dishes were well portioned (for their price). Very clean establishment. Also liked the idea that thier sink is outside of the restroom, it is quite brilliant! We also liked thier curtain that were separating the dining area to the restroom. They were rabbit themed, including a mochi making rabbit in the moon. We anticipate our return!”

“I was taken care of by Kenny- I requested steak added onto the quesadilla and it was AMAZING.
Perfectly seasoned
Perfectly cooked
Perfectly dressed.
There was a party going on and the food window was busy- Kenny managed the rush beautifully
Food was coming out quick and hot
10/10”
“This is a little Gem in Queens. The food is delicious. 😋 Ever felt like you wanted something tasty but couldn’t figure out what? We’ll order from Lugos. Food is well seasoned, big portions, freshly made. That steak is the softest I’ve had in a long time. And it comes with a side. I choose the mashed potato which is nicely done also. Their food is banging!!! You need to try it. Thank me later. FYI This was a door dash order.”

“At first I thought my wife poisoned me.... And than it slowly dawned on me that it was probably fruity yummy from.earlier... but my God it was delicious! The whole time I was doubled over and writhing in pain all I could think about was the vanilla flavored yogurt with the m&m sprinkles. It really burns!!.... I can't wait to go back again and get myself another yogurt.... As soon as I'm able to walk.”
“I called them at 4pm on a Friday asked about a tiramisu cake for my son’s girlfriend. They did not have it available but promised they would have one fresh for me on Saturday morning and they did not disappoint! It was the most moist yet airy perfect texture perfect sweetness cake EVER! Delicious and beautiful. ❤️”

“I got a 10 piece hot wings tonight and a pepperoni and grandma slice. The wings cooked fresh were the most bussin and delicious wings I’ve ever had. Incredibly crispy and flavorful - every bite was so enjoyable to the max. Every time I come here everyone is so nice. Love you Joe and John’s 💖”

“Thank you so much for an amazing breakfast! The rewards are awesome! I ordered an item and was waiting and the people were so nice they asked us if we needed help before we even knew we needed help hahaha. No but for real super nice and fast service. God bless y'all!”

“Don’t hesitate if you want to eat a good sandwich. $12-15 💵(average) for good quality and you get full. It took like 15 m to wait to bring the food but it was worth the wait. I will come back to try different things. For + food food in NY follow me @elmanudominguez 🍴and I will help you with good tips.”

“So freaking good. Came here for the first time after watching the owners journey online. We got the mortadella sandwich and the Sicilian tuna—all divine. I’m gluten free and asked if they could put the tuna on a bed of greens and they did 10/10!! Would highly recommend. Also the staff was super helpful and accommodating.”
“Small cozy spot with a relaxed atmosphere. You order at the bar and the service is quick and friendly. No alcohol, but the focus is clearly on the food. The menu is small but thoughtfully put together, and everything feels fresh. The handroll sushi is especially great and definitely worth trying. A nice casual place to stop by when you want quality sushi without the fuss.”

“This place is incredible the pizza is so good and the garlic knots are also good. This place is clean and delicious. Also they have this good deal that when you buy 2 slices of pizza you get water or a canned drink. You won’t be disappointed! The pizza is kind of cheap but it is the best pizza in nyc!I love this place!”
“Had my son Birthday past Saturday 4/1. The service excellent Adam totally on point. The food our big group all coming in different times accommodated wings: Lemon Peppers, Buffalo, and burgers and fries, Spicey Margaritas, Beers wide variety etc. The vibe and atmosphere awesome. Location is cozy with the wide screen we’re we screened the Wrestlemania, pool table, different areas were to sit we all had a great time.”
“Love this place! The staff is always super kind, welcoming, and accommodating, and the space is beautiful and clean. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Their coffee drinks are fantastic (highly recommend the Raices!), but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved their matcha. I'm obsessed and will definitely be back just for a matcha fix! Really well done.”
“We recently attended a kids’ party at Willows Tavern and had a great experience. The backyard was a fantastic space for the event, offering plenty of room for the kids to play while still being comfortable for the adults to relax and socialize.
The atmosphere was welcoming and laid-back, making it an ideal spot for a family gathering. The staff were friendly and attentive.
The drinks were enjoyable, and the outdoor setting gave the party a nice neighborhood feel. It’s not always easy to find a venue that works well for both kids and adults, but Willows Tavern did a great job.
Overall, a wonderful place for a casual celebration, and we’d happily return for another event or a meal with friends and family.”
“Love this bodega! Living around the corner, I’ve been coming since they opened, and I’m so grateful to have a bodega on the block, especially one that’s open 24/7. I don’t love all the changes since the new ownership, but it’s not that huge of a deal. Would love it if they started selling some fresh produce like avocados, and pre-cut fruit cups, and ESPECIALLY more vegetarian+vegetarian protein options in the deli and bring back the selection of lactose-free canned coffees. I just need some healthy options that align with my dietary needs 😩 there’s not even dairy-free ice cream.
The food is decent—it’s a bodega so keep your expectations in check. Very generous with the portions! Could do a better job listening, as frequently enough there’s at least one incorrect aspect to my order.
Someone posted a review a month ago and mentioned being judged for using EBT, but they haven’t accepted EBT as payment in several months now, so I’m not sure if they’re straight up lying or if this was something that happened a long time ago. I’ve never had anything but super friendly service and never once felt judged for using EBT, in fact there was one time I didn’t know I could use my EBT on a specific product and they did me a major solid and let me know. Plus, the person working the counter is usually watching shoppers pretty closely. Not to say the reviewer definitely is lying, it’s just the details don’t add up.”
