“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“We were supposed to eat at another restaurant, Anny, but when we got there, they informed us that they would only accept cash. Yet there was no ATM. We started walking on 116th, looking for an ATM. Instead, we found this place to eat. It's a buffet style place with only one booth style table. The best thing was that the food was good and the price was right.“

We went to celebrate my birthday with my husband and siblings and honestly… we had such a good time. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super nice and helpful and just made everything feel easy and welcoming. The vibe is really good, cozy, great music, loud enough to vibe in your seat but still easy to talk.

We started with the guacamole & chips and the tostoncitos with birria, both so good. While we were eating, Marcelo (the owner) came by and was so warm and welcoming. You can tell he really cares about the experience.

For food, I got the chimi sandwich with birria (so good), my husband got the mondongo birria, it had a lot of meat (he even said it was a bit much lol) but the flavor was really good. My siblings got the ribeye steak and shrimp tacos with rice and beans and loved it.

The drinks were sooo good, passionfruit mojitos, mocktails, and the Frida Kahlo drink were all a hit.

You can really taste the Dominican-Mexican fusion, which I loved, it’s different in a really good way. Marcelo and his team were all so kind and attentive.

We literally left still talking about how good everything was. Such a vibe. Can’t wait to go back.“

“I ordered from two good to go, which is an app that gives you discounted meals for less at the end of the night. They gave me liver which I’m not a fan of liver, but I gave it to a friend. I got potato salad. That was delicious a soup with pork in it and vegetables, rice and beans and a vegetable dish with okra and plantains. “If you're looking for some of the best Dominican food in the US, it's here - down a few steps, in this pool hall. Everything was delicious, and I absolutely loved the habichuelas (beans). The gallina was tender to the point it was falling off the bone, and the rice was fluffy and full of flavor. This is truly a place where you can taste the love.“
