Pupusas Ridgewood is not your average hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It offers some of the best pupusas in the tri-state area, with flavors like corn, mushroom, and bean. The pupusas are stellar - stuffed, super flavorful, and fluffy. The salsa and tostones are also noteworthy. While the rice and beans are a bit bland, the zucchini and chicken mole pupusas are delicious and filling, served with a side of cabbage salad and sauce. The horchata and passionfruit aguas frescas are good, not overly sweet. The small restaurant has no indoor seating, only a cozy parklet outside, so dress warmly.
