“My mom makes a killer pozole but this one is a close 2nd and that's saying something. The pozole is off the chain good, specially the green one de pollo or pork. Just amazing place. Please go and give them your business, you won't regret it.”

“My first memory of this place was the first time I bit the pan the bono- it was perfect. After that I remember having the craving to go there every morning. I don’t know about the other workers but the girl that works morning is so lovely. She played Karol G every morning for an entire week and it was just a vibe. It took a while but now she knows me, I like my small coffee with one Splenda and little milk. I could keep coming back for seconds because I like my coffee hot. You guys are amazing and they accept card!”

“Our server was Miladis and she was amazing, very attentive and made sure we were satisfied throughout our dinner. We've tried a couple of other local peruvian spots but this is the best one so far! Amazing food at fair prices, we will definitely be back!”

“La Gitana Bakery has some truly delicious, fresh cakes that are worth trying. The quality of the baked goods definitely stands out. However, the service wasn’t as friendly or attentive as expected. If you’re going just for the sweets, it’s a great stop, but don’t expect top-notch customer service.”

“Mexico in August? Yes, please! But if you are not traveling to the country, taste a delicious mouthful of real Mexico City at La Comrade in Brooklyn.
In my close to thirty years of an “on again off again” relationships with New York, I’ve managed to scour the corners of the city to find the most authentic ethnic eateries in the state to spice up my life. Ranging from Thai to Sri Lankan to Vietnamese food - and I’ve found the best of the best. Somehow my happy go lucky tiny feet blessed and guided my tummy to the right steps to spot and eat real ethnic each and every time.
So there I was one almost ‘Tulumesque’ sunny morning at La Comrade. The restaurant really peaked my interest due to its colourful decorations - piñatas galore reminding me of my birthdays at Chico and Charlie’s (the first Mexican restaurant in my country of origin - Singapore) and this eateries curious affinity with Frida Kahlo.
Run by the charming Carolina, it’s an immigrant run family business that feels like you are in Spanish Harlem or a sidewalk bodega in Mexico. The sound of Mexican music blares in the back of the restaurant as the sizzle of a hot stove cooks up the Mexican delicacy of the day that you’ve ordered. The storefront view is the most funky and colorful graffiti wall making for a very in the ‘hood vibe’ for people watching malgre the traffic and the rattling train above your head - which all add to the vibe.
The restaurant is nothing fancy and a little rough-around-the edges kinda joint, but it’s oh so Mexican cute which makes it all the more authentic. I embarked on a tasty meal indeed at this restaurant, which started with some horchata - which is effectively rice milk and a light refreshing and sweet flavour. They also offer exotic hibiscus flower juice and tamarind juice which are both more tangy in flavour and a lovely summer drink.
For my main dish I had a pork quesadilla which was just right for an evening bite. I finished off my meal with a crème caramel or flan which was one of the best I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant in New York I must say. It’s New York homemade I was told with a grin.
What I liked about this eatery was that the food was not greasy at all, which Mexican food can often be, especially on street corners or sidewalks. The prices were reasonable and the service was, well, oh so Mexican! That’s to say, friendly and quirky which made the restaurant feel all the more authentic. Carolina, the owner, really made all the difference in my impression of this cute and very casual eatery. A meeting with her makes you a return diner for sure as she is so pleasant as the head honcho who runs the restaurant.
The La Comrade eatery is also right under the J train line which takes you right to New York city or in the opposite direction to the airport. So it’s an easy pit stop for the travelers and tourists coming to or leaving the city, who want an ethnic Mexican bite in Brooklyn.
Enjoy!”

“My favorite taco spot in all of New York. Their lengua tacos are absolutely insane. I love that they’re open past midnight. The hot sauce is HOT! Parking in this area can be annoying but I’m usually walking here so that hasn’t been a problem for me.”

“The service is very fast, I got two large pizzas in under 15minutes. Their food is amazing! So much variety. While some pizza shops also offer other foods, you can tell by the quality they truly only specialize in pizza. However, Sal’s food is good all around!
Today I ordered 6piece wings with fries, a calzone, a beef patty, and two Pepsi’s for the price of $28. Pretty good compared to other places.”
“We just moved to Eddyville about 2 weeks ago from Arizona and La Piñata is hands-down our favorite restaurant so far. It definitely tastes like the authentic food we are used to. The customer service is outstanding, the food was delicious, and we are looking forward to becoming regulars!”

“This Wendy's review is solely from the perspective of a GrubHub user that orders from this location. When I need to order something inexpensive but satisfying, the $6.00 meals cannot be beat. There is a burger meal and a chicken sandwich meal. They come with fries, 4 nuggets and drink. You cannot beat this price. I also get the chilli and baked potato which is a decent meal too. Úú”

“My favorite local pizza place. Most of the time I really like this place, sometimes it can be a miss. I ordered delivery from here recently and there was some miscommunication I had to call back after 40 minutes to ask them to deliver it. Anyways.. I’ve been ordering here for a while so despite the mishap I continue to be a returning customer.”

“Well I live in the area first of all. And my experience with this restaurant is pretty great I have been to a couple of other spots for Chinese food in the area and they are nowhere near the mark of this place. This place raises the bar and sets a very high standard to the quality of food that they serve if you ever come here you have got to try the teriyaki tofu it is to die for. It is so good and their fried rice is really nice and moist very good tasting also. Overall I enjoyed my food here. The customer service is pretty attentive and they have a quite big selection to offer. One thing is for sure two things is for certain your taste buds will thank you for coming to this place to eat. You will be satisfied. Please look out for my new website coming my online store the name of the shop is the level 7 shop where I will be specializing in selling products such as furniture for the home workout equipment Fitness Gear Health Products and Wellness toys for the kids Electronics Etc. Thank you all so much I will be looking forward to doing business with everyone as soon as my website is completed I will let everyone know when it is ready.”

“The food is great here...I have tons of the pictures of the food I get. Unfortunately, you cannot eat in, only order out but still worth it. Give it a shot. Faves are steamed shrimp dumplings, very tasty & not a heavy dough like other places. Their house Special Fried Rice or lo mein are also good. They serve tostones which I always get along with their wings. I always call ahead to place order because they're always busy & it's a bit of a wait if you order at the counter.”

“I love sushi, and the food at this restaurant is very good. The ingredients are also very fresh. The most important thing to eat Japanese food is the freshness of the ingredients. Especially raw food. The sushi at this restaurant is quite delicious. The combination of soy sauce and rice, in addition to fresh ingredients. It is simply delicious. Highly recommended to everyone.”
