I've moved but still go out of my way to call ahead and place an order for pick up. They offer free delivery but I'm too far. They never disappoint and I highly recommend. “Every time I eat here, it takes me back to when I was growing up. They started as a rice roll cart on Grand Street, and they've perfectly preserved that authentic street-cart taste.

The steamed rice rolls with curry fish balls are soft, chewy, and perfectly sauced with hot sauce and extra peanut sauce. Grab an iced Hong Kong milk tea to go with it.

“Spicy Village was a wonderful place to have a Christmas meal! Actually, I'd like to rename it "Spicy Cozy Village" if a spicy environment can also be cozy! To start with, they were very gracious by accepting a reservation for 8 people at 6:00. Then they came outside and took our order even before we sat down and so the food was nearly ready by the time we had taken our coats off! The festivities kicked off with a plate of crispy peanuts, which ended up being the chosen appetizer, main course, and dessert for the little guy in our party. We then progressed to delicious dumplings, sesame chicken, spicy lamb huimei, and other delectable specialties! What was so amazing about the experience is that despite packing lots of people into a relatively small square foot area, it did not feel claustrophobic at all; rather it was comfortable and cozy, like sitting at a big table for a family meal at your house (even if it was take-out!!). Overall, Spicy Village was a terrific place for Christmas dinner - and I'm strongly considering coming back here for the 8 days of Hanukkah too!“

“The food was BUSSS!!! The steamed buns are some of the best you could get anywhere if you can only taste one thing that should definitely be your choice. The dumplings are also super good and everything is so cheap. Only issue is the dirtiness in the mall but I feel like it’s part of the experience so no biggie. We can't praise the event team, kitchen, and bar staff enough! The food was exceptional as always, and the service was wonderfully attentive and gracious. “I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“We came for dinner on a Sunday after a show, the menu was a 7-course tasting menu with an optional 8th course and an optional wine pairing. We opted for the 8th course and my wife did the wine pairing, I got the Sour Plum cocktail which was fantastic. The price was on the low end for a Michelin starred restaurant, making this a comparatively more accessible option for fine dining. The staff was very bubbly and constantly executing elevated soft touches to make for a memorable experience. The dishes had such a vast array of flavors, my favorite was the plum duck but it’s tough to choose from so many strong contenders. There wasn’t a single “miss”. The wine pairing was a perfect complement to the courses, we’d highly recommend opting for it since that took this to the next level. We had an excellent experience and highly recommend Yingtao!

“Such a unique atmosphere - you feel like you’re transported to a wee traditional chinese village. The soup base is one of the best mala soup base out there. The meat selection is premium, would recommend the milky beef and streaky pork, black tofu, lotus root. Amazing, attentive servers. Absolute favourite place to be when in town. Can be abit of a wait but totally worth it“

“This if for 2 visits. First one was during the week for lunch. The lunch special fish came with cucumbers andspring rolls,the fish was crispy and full of flavor absolutely a must get. The truffle shumai was huge juicy and lots of truffle, the fried rice was delicious and the drinks tasty. Service is 10 out of 10 the lady who works there is so friendly and sweet she constantly checked up on us and talked with everyone at the table that it was so great we made a reservation for mothers day. Mothers day visit was fantastic she was there again to serve us and same fantastic service. Everything we ordered was hot flavorful fresh and worth it. We also got tea for the table which was refilled for us and the date dessert which was a nice ending to a wonderful mean. Definitely check it out they do specials during the week. We were told check the ig page to see them last month Thursday they did all you can drink.“

“After years, congee village is still the best restaurant in the Chinatown area. Authentic and made-to-order food, very large portion (and relatively clean comparing to other Chinatown restaurants) You can tell dishes are made in house with top tier ingredients.

We don’t come here often, like twice pee year but since 10 years ago while the taste is consistent over years.“

Let’s start with the pros. Definitely worth the hype. Make sure to get the egg burrata dip with extra fried dough. I would skip the truffle ravioli. It sounded interesting, but was just okay. We also got the peppercorn fish stew which is always staple. Overall, foodwise, I appreciated the play on italian Szechuan food, but I would definitely research a bit beforehand for what to order.

Okay, now the cons. I will say, I thought they were known for their cocktails, but they were just okay so I think you can skip these unless you want to pair.

My one other complaint was that this was our anniversary dinner and we did mention it in our resy reservation, so we were wondering if they would prepare a little something, but they didn’t even congratulate us. Pretty sure this was an oversight, but this was my nitpick and for these reasons I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5.

Otherwise, highly recommend coming here with a big group to try multiple dishes!“
