“Don't judge a book by its cover. That's what this restaurant is about it's a hole in a wall type of place, great to just carry out. Their chicken fried is amazing it so authentic the closest I would say to Hilton fried rice from Guyana iyky. We order their food on a weekly basis. Their maybe some local queens uncles by the bar, just let them be lol.“

Chicken Fried Rice

“I've been going to Foo On for about 23 years from the time I was a child to an adult. The food is by far amazing compared to other local Chinese restaurants. The only way I can describe it as that other places taste good, but lack that final push over into a euphoric state of being. Foo On gives that feeling. It did use to be better years ago but I understand the chef changed, Regardless The Lo Mein is delicious, Fried Rice can be 90/10 somedays its amazing, somedays its not as amazing. Chicken, Beef, Pork, are all amazing.Shrimp is ok. General Tso is delicious.Chicken Wings are on point. Price is a really good, Tax is included so no surprises, what you see is what you pay.“

“It was great I got the General Tso dish the large plate for take out and the portion was big for what I believe was around $13, the staff was direct and it took around 10-15mins for it to be done which I find reasonable if they’re making it fresh! Define toy coming back.“

Mei Xin Yuan Dumpling House Chinese • $
9512 Jamaica Ave, Queens

“I'm very skeptical with Chinese takeout that comes from those Chinese corner stores with menus that offer way too many options (aka as any americanized Chinese food). But when you don't have the luxury of a car and you don't want to pay 40 dollars on UberEats for good Chinese food, you'll be convinced to try your luck in the area. Not gonna lie, I chose Dumpling House because it was the closest Chinese food near me, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The women who greeted me at the counter was friendly and took my order: one large hot and sour soup and a small house special fried rice. I wouldn't recommend coming on a hot day because the shop can be hot if you're waiting for takeout, but the wait wasn't too long. After about 15 to 20 minutes, I was walking home with $11 dollar takeout. The hot and sour soup is pretty good and I've had a lot of hot and sour soup in my life. The consistency is not too thin or thick and the flavor is balanced (not too sweet or sour). For 5 dollars, I think it's a steal. The house special rice is good and not too greasy. For some reason, it still tasted Americanized even with the Asian ingredients I was used to. There was some chicken, barbecue pork, mixed veggies, egg, etc. and the ingredients mixed well despite it tasting American. Even though I got a small rice, I still had some leftover to eat the next day. Despite my obviously biased Asian tastebuds, I was very happy with what I got and I will definitely be back for some more hot and sour soup!“

Chicken Fried Rice

“Here in New York for a business trip. Wanted to go to Flushings but I was already tired from the long flight. Did a quick Google search and found this whoke in the wall place. Ordered the sweet & sour chicken with pork fried rice and eg roll combo. Place is legit. I know a good Chinese restaurant from the taste and this is really hella good. Portions are great as well. I'm a heavy eater and I can't even finish this. Keep it up!“
