“god i just love chinese food… anyways this tastes like a classic chinese place! features a variety of options and the food was quickly made, not to mention these prices are great.

tastes like your classic egg drop soup! perfect consistency but a bit too salty for my liking.

beef chow fun (9.5/10):
easily the best i’ve had, and i’ve had this dish at a lot of places. beef was tender and i loved the chow fun. it also had more veggies than a typical chow fun but that’s a plus to me. i didn’t like how much onions there were, but the rest of the dish was so good that i can’t really complain.

might update this post if i ever return to try other dishes!!! ???“

“It’s new soon. I discovered it when I walked in and sat down. The tea was pretty good! Then I ordered a bowl of locomotive’s soup, which was good and ok! I had a pork chop that tasted OK but the meat was a little thin, and a shrimp roll. I had a great time eating! It was great not to have to go to Flushing to be crowded!“

It’s giving river town cuz there was a walkway way in the middle that was raised a little. Also loved the aquarium.


Don’t know how I feel about the food. Everything was cooked well, well seasoned, and sauces were great. But I think some of the dishes were lacking depth. But that’s a minor critique.

Since their renovations last year the quality of everything from the plates to the whole interior design has improved. Not only that but the food is one of the best in the neighborhood.“

They peking duck was good they slice it for you tableside. The caviar wasn't good with the toast, there's no taste. Didn't order liver, it's every tough and not silky. The lamb was good, everything that's spicy we order aren't spicy. Even the chilli oil was not spicy. The fish we order was very fresh. Beef was tender. Would recommend but probably would go back because the flavor isn't my thing. That's just me. The cooking time for the food was controlled very well. It just wasn't my thing.“

This is the real north-eastern Chinese food and trust me this lovely little spot will impress you. The price on the menu may seem to be a little bit of expensive but the portion is generous af (thats what Chinese northeastern food are supposed to be). I would recommend double crispy pork slices with sweet & sour sauce锅包肉, stir-fried duo 溜两段 and LanZhou noodles 兰州拉面(this is a Chinese northwestern local famous but still very tasty).“

“My friend and I picked this place because it was close and we were drawn to prices. The food was 5 stars. I got the biang biang noodles and she got the stewed pork over rice. I liked how thick the noodles were and it got more and more tasty as I got closer to the bottom because all the sauce was really concentrated. My friend enjoyed her simple yet comforting pork. She says it was very hearty and the soft boiled egg was the best part of the meal. The service was also very good. I overheard the Johnson at the counter taking time to chat with his customers. They use the same noodles in everything and the noodles are great. They are long, soft and chewy.

The jjajang sauce was very flavorful and mixed well with the noodles. Rating 8/10

The cream fried shrimp reminds me of walnut shrimp from Chinese restaurants. Shrimps are big. The frying is good. The sauce taste like mayo, honey and a bit of mustard. 8/10“

“This place is a gem! I'm so happy they opened this location! I was sad when the one on Main Street closed down due to a fire but the chef came to this location! The service was great and the coconut chicken was so juicy and tender. My dad is from Hainan so I can say the taste is definitely authentic. They even have clay pot rice! The casserole was very flavorful too. This is going to be our new spot from now on! I highly recommend this place. Definitely try their coconut dessert ~ to die for!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“I stumbled upon this place on Instagram and was amazed by the affordable prices. While I looked on the table, it mentioned no msg and artificial flavors. While most items are priced around $8, you can even find a lunch small dish for $5. Though not conveniently located, it's the sole dining option on the block. It operates on a self-service basis, saving you on tips. The service was good, and they speak Mandarin and don't seem to
understand much English. The atmosphere was calm, although it did get busy as I was leaving.

Although they advertised a free soup or soda on Yelp, they were out of soup. However, they did offer soda and I selected sparkling water. The ambiance was festive, with decorations from the recent Lunar New Year, and there was a TV playing old school music. I'd like to note that they accept only cash payments or an app called Cash, which isn't very popular. Also, a restroom is available.

FYI - I do not get the sauerkraut stew I get the chili boil (the red one) and get less peppercorns. I do basa fish and add beef tripe. I share this with my boyf and it hits the spot and the pre-tip total is about $24. With an extra rice it’s about $26.

I’m not kidding pls go here and try this combination.

The atmosphere and service at this place is just so welcoming. Amazing restaurant design with long lengthy hallways and plentiful outdoor seating in the back. That alone made me want to come back.

The dishes were all tasty, but I did not try any pork or beef dishes so I feel as if this review is incomplete. Everything was tasty but besides the chicken dumplings I think I would order completely new items next time.

Make sure they get you started with the pickled spicy cabbage. It was delicious.“

“Situated in Rafferty Triangle is a truck making large brunch items known as Chinese crepes or jianbing. I recommend adding two eggs and taking advantage of the vegetables as they add lasting crunch. The flavor is really good and as a result I'm a repeat customer.“
