I stumbled upon this wonderful little Taiwanese noodle shop, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The place is small and cozy, but exceptionally clean—making it the absolute go-to spot for a quick, hassle-free dinner after a long workday when you don’t feel like cooking.
Pork chop with rice—literally the pork cutlet is huge-bigger than your face! It’s thick, incredibly crispy, and juicy, pairing amazingly well with the fragrant rice.
Tomato beef noodle soup- the broth has this perfect sweet-and-tangy flavor, the beef melts in your mouth, and the noodles have a fantastic, chewy texture. Delicious! 😋
pork belly buns - You get three adorable little bites -the savory braised pork belly paired with pickled vegs is just mouthwatering.

“Came here for brunch almost. Parked right around the corner. The vibe is very homey with a good amount of seating. Enjoyed the shark fin soup, rice noodle with shredded pork and pickled veggie, and pork shrimp wonton noodle soup. Each dish was already packaged as takeout making it easy to take what we weren’t able to eat when we sat down. Topped it all off with some milk tea. I like that none of these dishes were salty and very fresh. Definitely cooked for an older crowd that is more health conscious which I enjoy. Took a menu home with me. Excited to eat here again.“

“Four Four South Village in Bayside on Bell Blvd is so new, I literally had to put it on the map! They have a restaurant in Flushing and also a location in Canada. I stopped in for dinner and ordered the spicy beef noodle (#204) and the Taiwanese sausage. Service is great! Very friendly and attentive. They checked up on me and kept my tea cup full. My order came out quickly. The sausage was pan fried and had the perfect crisp to the casing and also came with a small side of pickled cucumber. I opted for a non broth noodle dish which has bok choy to the side, slices of tender beef and the chili sauce poured over. You need to mix everything together which allows you to control the amount of sauce to your liking. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a nice chew to them. Really good food!
Also tried the beef and tendon noodle soup. This beef, tendon & noodle soup is a great combination and tastes delicious! I devoured the bowl and could have had another bowl.“

“I've lived in Queens for a decade and I can definitively say this is the most delicious Chinese restaurant I've been to!

My favorite three dishes are the teriyaki chicken, hot and sour soup, and the sesame chicken. The teriyaki chicken is a refreshing, comfort dish of mine whose sauce is not overly salty, sticky, and thick as most restaurants tend to do. Another pitfall a lot of Chinese restaurants have is rubbery chicken. However, the chicken here is tender and falls apart like butter at the touch of your teeth. Combined with the teriyaki sauce and the subtle crunch of onions to reset your palette, the chicken is elevated to a higher level.

The hot and sour soup is a favorite addition of mine to any dish I order. In spite of it's name, it is soothing for my taste buds, refraining from overwhelming one's mouth with just spice. The mushrooms in the soup with tofu skin and other ingredients create a plethora of savory flavor in the soup that really accentuate that hot and sour flavor along with any dish you have.

Finally, the sesame chicken is also beautifully crispy and fluffy. As I mentioned before the chicken is top notch here and full of flavor, and the sesame flakes on top add a beautiful subtle smokey flavor to the chicken that accompanies the lingering taste of the chicken towards the end of your bite.

“Love the jajang mian here and the tangsuyuk. This restaurant has the best sweet sauce for the fried pork. It’s obvious they take the time to add fruits and vegetables to build up and balance the sweet flavor to be multi dimensional.

However, the plastic plates we were eating on seemed to have deteriorated significantly. I would feel more comfortable eating off of a plate that’s not plastic next time.“

“This is the only takeout Chinese restaurant I use. The quality of the food is great. The portion is great and deliveries. Incredible. Tonight I ordered food, from the time I placed the order to the time I got the food was 18 minutes outstanding. Food was very hot and very good. Why would anybody go anywhere else?“

“I finally found the first restaurant of the chain. There was one on 140th Street, Northern Blvd. and the one in Manhattan. Both closed down. This restaurant has the same taste. Same food choices except for the Noodles Seafood Soup which used to have pork belly on the side. But, who's complaing? My family are not and neither am I. Worth the drive and you will not regret it. It brought back great memories. Like a Ratatouille moment!!“

“Recently tried out Happy Garden in Bayside for takeout, and every dish tasted delicious.

The beef chow fun was a standout wide rice noodles stir-fried with tender beef, onions, scallions, and bean sprouts, coated in a soy-based sauce and infused with wok hei, that smoky flavor prized in Cantonese cooking. Chow fun has long roots in Cantonese street food culture, where rice noodles became a staple for being hearty, affordable, and versatile.

The fish fillet and tofu casserole came with tender fish, silken tofu, green beans, and scallions in a rich brown sauce. Traditionally, this kind of casserole is served sizzling in a clay pot ,a cooking vessel that has been part of Chinese kitchens for centuries, known for holding heat and allowing flavors to meld. Even in a takeout container, the sauce soaked beautifully into the tofu and vegetables, making it hearty, savory, and deeply comforting.

The boiled chicken with scallion and ginger was clean, tender, and aromatic. This dish reflects Cantonese and Hainanese traditions of poaching chicken to preserve its natural flavor. What makes it special is the dipping sauce of minced scallion, ginger, and hot oil, which enhances the delicacy of the meat without overpowering it.

To end the meal, the complimentary red bean dessert soup (紅豆沙) was a lovely touch. This sweet soup has been enjoyed for centuries across Chinese households and banquets, prized for being nourishing yet light. Its smooth sweetness balanced out the savory dishes perfectly.“
