“I finally found the first restaurant of the chain. There was one on 140th Street, Northern Blvd. and the one in Manhattan. Both closed down. This restaurant has the same taste. Same food choices except for the Noodles Seafood Soup which used to have pork belly on the side. But, who's complaing? My family are not and neither am I. Worth the drive and you will not regret it. It brought back great memories. Like a Ratatouille moment!!“

I visited Bonchon in Bayside, and now I understand why they’re so famous for their Korean fried chicken! Honestly, it was some of the most delicious fried chicken I’ve ever had. The chicken was flavorful, crispy, and really satisfying.

The people were amazing, the atmosphere was great, and I really loved the overall aesthetic of the place. I would definitely come back multiple times. I just wish they had a location closer to my house!

My only downside is the price. Compared with a few years ago, I feel like the prices have gotten a little expensive. But overall, this is still one of the best fried chicken places I’ve ever enjoyed, and I highly recommend giving it a try. 🍗🔥“

“Recently tried out Happy Garden in Bayside for takeout, and every dish tasted delicious.

The beef chow fun was a standout wide rice noodles stir-fried with tender beef, onions, scallions, and bean sprouts, coated in a soy-based sauce and infused with wok hei, that smoky flavor prized in Cantonese cooking. Chow fun has long roots in Cantonese street food culture, where rice noodles became a staple for being hearty, affordable, and versatile.

The fish fillet and tofu casserole came with tender fish, silken tofu, green beans, and scallions in a rich brown sauce. Traditionally, this kind of casserole is served sizzling in a clay pot ,a cooking vessel that has been part of Chinese kitchens for centuries, known for holding heat and allowing flavors to meld. Even in a takeout container, the sauce soaked beautifully into the tofu and vegetables, making it hearty, savory, and deeply comforting.

The boiled chicken with scallion and ginger was clean, tender, and aromatic. This dish reflects Cantonese and Hainanese traditions of poaching chicken to preserve its natural flavor. What makes it special is the dipping sauce of minced scallion, ginger, and hot oil, which enhances the delicacy of the meat without overpowering it.

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“Came here for lunch because I’ve been craving some hotpot. I’m so glad I did. They have a wide selection of meats, seafood and veggies. I had the pork neck soup base which was rich and delicious. My favorite cut of meat so fat is the snowflake beef. It’s fatty, buttery and tender. The kimchi is amazing as well. Customer service is great. They leave you alone while still being attentive. And just in case they aren’t around, there’s a call bell. The seating is very private. They have booths that can close for even more privacy. The booths seat 6. Definitely recommend!“

Nice spot with super clean ambience. Located in the third floor of the Indigo hotel. Pancakes with whipped cream and mango on top was amazing also the burger was great as well as the kimchi fried rice. Soft shell crab could've def been better but things were great as a whole.

Price is based on weight, but one bowl around 1.5 lb was enough for the two of us. If you are planning to visit Tangra Masala, you must try both the Paneer Chilli and Dry Manchurian. Both dishes were delicious, flavorful, and had that authentic Indian-Chinese taste that is sometimes hard to find in the USA.
One more thing I really loved is that they provide chilli oil on the table. If you are a spicy-food lover, add about one spoon of chilli oil to the Paneer Chilli—it completely changes the flavor and takes the dish to another level! 🌶 I’m sure you will love it.

“As sad as I was to see GameStop leave the Pelham Parkway area it was short lived as a sushi spot came to the area for the first time adding something unique and much sought after to the community. I remember in the 2000’s when sushi was something you traveled in a car for miles on the weekend with family to get and now here we are where you can get it every day for a low cost. The Shrimp Tempura roll and Angry Dragon roll are my go to’s and are an amazing quality item and a low cost, light lunch.
