“Asian Fortune' food is very good and when you order for delivery it always comes very fast. Only one time in all of the years we've been ordering food have they forgotten an eggroll. No big deal. Mistakes happen.. But the main reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 is because they do not do special requests. Ever. I normally order the pad tai. It always comes with the peanuts and sprouts on the side. One day, I wanted pad tai made with wide noodles instead of skinny noodles..and they said no. That was a few years ago. Tonight, I figured I'd try to see if they would make a special request. I ordered The pad kee mao, which is a spicy dish made with wide noodles.
I didnt ask them to change the dish..
I asked if they could give me a side of sprouts and chopped peanuts on the side(which id gladly pay for) so i can add them on to my pad kee mao myself. Nope. The girl said they have to make the dish the right way. Whatever that means. I didn't ask them to alter the dish. I asked to buy sprouts and chopped peanuts on the side.
Seems like such a simple request to make a customer happy..but apparently getting some peanuts and bean sprouts on the side is impossible to get. It's so weird...considering, we've been good customers for years i find it strange that they wouldnt do this. I mean, they will alter the spice level if you ask..they will leave out onions or mushrooms if you ask. But getting peanuts and sprouts on the side..absolutely not. Its such a small thing to say no to. And i dont get it. I wasn't asking them to alter the dish. I wanted a couple of tablespoons of peanuts and some bean sprouts on the side..which they always give on the with the regular pad tai which i was willing to pay for. Such a strange thing to say not to.“

“Grabbed takeout from Lucky Rabbit Noodles in Dumbo today for me and my best friend and I'm still thinking about it. Dean at the front absolutely made the experience. His energy is so warm and welcoming, and when I asked what to order he didn't miss. Every single recommendation was a 10/10.

We got the noodles, the house dumplings, and the lychee lemonade. All of it is incredible. The noodles have that perfect chew, the dumplings might be the best I've had in Brooklyn, and the lychee lemonade is so good I'm genuinely mad at myself for not ordering a second round.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“I found this restaurant on the IN KIND app, and the menu looked great. I don’t live far, so I was a little skeptical since I had not heard of it, I used to own a restaurant in the neighborhood, and I eat out several times a week in Manhattan and Brooklyn at the same places that I love, and I also love cooking amazing food for family and friends.

Let’s say, I was pleasantly surprised, and actually blown away! My family is Jamaican, so fusion isn’t always my thing, but this restaurant did the most amazing job with all of the food! The proteins honored the culture, and the fusion elements actually mirrored my favorite Chinese Jamaican spot in Ocho Rios, so all of it honored its roots! ON TOP OF THAT, the vegetables were fresh and flavorful—not overcooked! Excellent. And the jasmine rice was the best rice that I have had anywhere in NYC. PERIOD. A chef that cares about the RICE is definitely putting his foot in the rest of the meal! I had to call back to get the name of Chef Bunny - I needed to know who COOKED that food! And Amanda was extremely helpful with taking our order and fixing a little boo boo in our pickup order. I went on a Sunday and there was plenty of parking but I am sure it would be more difficult on a weekday until after 6pm when street parking becomes available. The burger and fries very solid, the el mensajero drink was excellent, I had some toast with ricotta, honey and almonds that was really good as well. It wasnt very crowded but the space is awesome I would like to go back on one of their event days. Overall good experience will come back for sure.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“
