“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“My God… Chongqing Lao Zao might be the best Chinese hot pot I’ve ever had. And if you’ve seen my other reviews, you know I’ve eaten at A LOT of hot pot places. 😂 This one seriously impressed me.

The entrance is actually pretty small and very easy to miss, but once you walk through that door… WOW. It feels like you just stepped into a Chinese palace. The decorations, the details, the atmosphere—everything is beautiful. Before we even started eating, I was already walking around looking at everything.

Then there’s the service. Next level. The servers were so attentive that they basically wouldn’t let us lift a finger. 😂 Plates cleared, broth checked, food taken care of—they were always there without making us feel rushed. That kind of service really changes the whole experience.

And of course, the hot pot itself was incredible. Rich, authentic flavors and exactly what I want when I’m craving real Chinese hot pot. Great food is one thing, but when you combine it with this atmosphere and this level of service, it becomes an experience.

I review a lot of hot pot restaurants and usually can find at least one thing I would change. This time, I really can’t.

Because I have strict dietary needs, I requested my meal with no Monosodium Glutamate, no seafood sauce, no soy sauce, less salt, and less oil. Before taking my order, Kevin went straight to the chef to confirm that the kitchen could accommodate my specific requests.

His attention to detail was incredible throughout the meal. When we ordered the stir-fried water spinach and shredded potatoes, he remembered that the potato dish usually includes dried spicy peppers. Knowing I cannot handle spicy food, he proactively double-checked to ensure the peppers were left out.

Every dish was prepared perfectly, and Kevin made sure I felt completely taken care of from start to finish!“

“Been here a few times. Best skewer place in this area or matter of fact anywhere near here outside of Flushing. Food is always fresh and good and service is great. The 2+1 specials on the drinks with soju and beer is awesome. The place looks very clean and new. Very roomy as well where you’re not crowded with other customers and AC works great during hot weather.

This trip we had the pig head salad along with assortment of skewers. All amazing. The meat with salad was so refreshing.

They also gave us this entire dish of crabs for $1!!! It was so good as well.“

They also let you customize your own taste with spices, chilli oil, sour string beans and more stuff you can add yourself which give the customer lots of freedom while adjusting a flavor that they will like the most. Highly recommand for people who loves noodles!“

This place has been around as far back as I can remember in the 90s predating tony bourdain’s visit to xian famous foods and by at least a decade. Same mom and pop running this place. Prices have dramatically shot up since flushing became a food tourist spot, but still competitive for the area. The tea eggs are a personal favorite. Bring cash.“

“A hidden gem in flushing. First time visit here, the environment and vibe here are nice. There is a live music at Friday night. We ordered some skewers and some appetizer. We like the clams and starch noodles the most. The skewers are delicious too.“

Everyone here is so nice, but I especially want to give a huge shoutout to a girl with long hair and glasses. I don’t know her name, but she has a red Labubu on her outfit and she is seriously so thoughtful. ❤ She remembers that my kid loves the pink juice and even picked one out for her. Unfortunately, her coworker ended up giving it to someone else, so my daughter got the apple juice instead. 😂

But honestly, it’s the little gestures that make such a difference. The fact that she remembered us personally and remembered what my kid likes made our visit extra sweet. 🥹

“Really good beef noodles! The beef was super tender and they were very generous with the portions. Both broths were flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture. I especially liked the pickled vegetables in the first bowl — they gave the soup an extra savory and tangy kick. The spicy beef noodle soup was also delicious without being overwhelmingly spicy.
