“Its a tiny yet good takeout spot with a variety of chinese and mexican food and I don’t think they offer dine in. I called the store to order and the staff was really friendly to take my order. I tried their shrimp and mushrooms with the side of brown rice and hot and sour soup. I really enjoyed the food and the quantity was huge for the low price. Great addition to the neighborhood.“

I came during the afternoon and the place was quiet.
The staff was very friendly and even asked how the meal was at the end.
Note: It’s self-service.

Food: The hand-pulled noodles and broth were fresh and excellent.
The fried side dish was crispy and flavorful.
Drink: The iced black tea with mango was light and very refreshing.
Tip: As you can see in the video - the portions are very generous.
I recommend ordering a small size because I couldn’t finish it.

Seating: I sat by the window facing the street. It was nice to eat and watch Broadway at the same time.
There’s also an inner bar table closer to the kitchen.
The place is clean and the surrounding area feels calm and safe.

Price: Very affordable and filling.
This was my first time trying authentic Chinese food and I was pleasantly surprised.
Highly recommend and worth saving for a real local meal.“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“My God… Chongqing Lao Zao might be the best Chinese hot pot I’ve ever had. And if you’ve seen my other reviews, you know I’ve eaten at A LOT of hot pot places. 😂 This one seriously impressed me.

The entrance is actually pretty small and very easy to miss, but once you walk through that door… WOW. It feels like you just stepped into a Chinese palace. The decorations, the details, the atmosphere—everything is beautiful. Before we even started eating, I was already walking around looking at everything.

Then there’s the service. Next level. The servers were so attentive that they basically wouldn’t let us lift a finger. 😂 Plates cleared, broth checked, food taken care of—they were always there without making us feel rushed. That kind of service really changes the whole experience.

And of course, the hot pot itself was incredible. Rich, authentic flavors and exactly what I want when I’m craving real Chinese hot pot. Great food is one thing, but when you combine it with this atmosphere and this level of service, it becomes an experience.

I review a lot of hot pot restaurants and usually can find at least one thing I would change. This time, I really can’t.

“We had such a great meal at Pig Heaven! The BBQ spare ribs were so tender, flavorful, and perfectly glazed. We also really enjoyed the soup dumplings, Peking duck, Sesame chicken, noodles, and Mapo tofu. Everything came in generous portions and was great for sharing. “Came here with my family on a Sunday night, we were seated quickly with friendly and attentive service throughout! Everything we ate was handmade in house - including the pineapple cakes pictured here. I would really recommend getting the sauteed stinky tofu and the sesame oil pork kidney :) I will definitely come back to try out more from their menu!!“

“This is a nice restaurant that has traditional Hunan, Sichuan, and Chinese American Cuisine. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and very early 1900’s style Chinese restaurant fashion almost like being in San Francisco.. The food is very good. The staff is very nice. The portions are just great. On the more expensive side to bring your credit cards 💳. It’s like taking a history lesson in Chinese food in America. Give this place to try if you’re in the area we will definitely be going back.“

“Been here a few times. Best skewer place in this area or matter of fact anywhere near here outside of Flushing. Food is always fresh and good and service is great. The 2+1 specials on the drinks with soju and beer is awesome. The place looks very clean and new. Very roomy as well where you’re not crowded with other customers and AC works great during hot weather.

This trip we had the pig head salad along with assortment of skewers. All amazing. The meat with salad was so refreshing.

They also gave us this entire dish of crabs for $1!!! It was so good as well.“

Because I have strict dietary needs, I requested my meal with no Monosodium Glutamate, no seafood sauce, no soy sauce, less salt, and less oil. Before taking my order, Kevin went straight to the chef to confirm that the kitchen could accommodate my specific requests.

His attention to detail was incredible throughout the meal. When we ordered the stir-fried water spinach and shredded potatoes, he remembered that the potato dish usually includes dried spicy peppers. Knowing I cannot handle spicy food, he proactively double-checked to ensure the peppers were left out.

Every dish was prepared perfectly, and Kevin made sure I felt completely taken care of from start to finish!“

“Ji Bei Chuan is my go-to hidden gem in Flushing. Both dry-tossed and soup rice noodles are fantastic: the Family Combo dry noodles are coated in rich savory sauce, the beef brisket noodle soup has a deep hearty broth, the pickled vegetable fish noodle is bright and appetizing, and the premium fish maw bowl is loaded with quality ingredients. Sides, grilled gluten and crispy juicy tofu are also amazing — perfect with noodles or beer. Highly recommend!“

“This is a very local restaurant.
It doesn't have fancy decor, nor does it serve mind-blowing dishes with flavors you can't find anywhere else.
However, their food is very wholesome and down-to-earth, without the heavy oils or excessive salt used to aggressively hook a customer's palate.
The prices are also very affordable—I imagine people working nearby frequent this place often.
I'm a delivery truck driver, and whenever I pass through this area, I make sure to stop by.
The elderly owner is Taiwanese and extremely kind, and they also employ some Spanish staff. The overall work atmosphere is wonderful, and I'm certain the owner treats them very well. Dining here gives you a sense of peace that you just can't find anywhere else.
You shouldn't go out of your way just to eat here, but if you happen to be passing by, you definitely have to drop in and check it out.“

“As a person who grew up in Hunan, China which loves rice noodles either with soup or dry stirred. They have decent rice noodles and great flavors. They also let you customize your own taste with spices, chilli oil, sour string beans and more stuff you can add yourself which give the customer lots of freedom while adjusting a flavor that they will like the most. “Went there on a monday night and the food was incredibly impressive. Got the Char Siu Bone Marrow for appetizers and lobster fried rice and filet mignon and broccoli for entree. Filet mignon and broccoli sauce was exceptionally delicious and the meat was so tender. The service was also impeccable since we walked in til we were done.“

“I was craving some dumplings and I walked by Chairman Sun and saw their menu had just what I wanted!

The Pork Soup Dumplings were a 5/5. Full of flavor and the perfect texture. The soy sauce and flavor of the pork matched perfectly.

My Scallion Cucumber salad was a perfect flavor profile for me as a I love a garlic moment. The dressing was drinkable…and the cucumber cuts were hardy and a perfect fresh bite.

Lastly, the spring rolls, solid and great flavor.
