Chang Lai Reviews
This place is worth stopping by if you want to get something quick to eat on the go for less than $5! The curry fish ball rice roll and pork skin are great. There’s a nice flavor that’s slightly sweet yet savory. The owners are also very friendly and knowledgeable.
As the name suggested, definitely a must-regularly-visit shop!!! Super nice owners.
The rice noodle itself is a 10/10 soft and delicious. However they were very skimpy with the shrimp, there was barely any after I paid for the medium. Also, please offer a lower waste option for dine in customers. Having to throw out a large plastic container into the landfill when I ate the whole thing there will prevent me from going back. Please consider putting it on a paper plate for customers who will eat there for less waste.

Chang Lai is a cozy and clean place with a small dine-in area of 4 chairs, and food comes in a plastic container that's easy to eat from elsewhere. The owner is a vibe—super sweet, friendly, and very helpful, walking tourists through the menu and making great recommendations without making anyone feel unknowledable. The food is delicious and fast. Must-try items include rice noodles with mixed sauce (peanut, soy, hot, and oyster sauce) and rice rolls with shrimp or pork, which are an absolute delight. The plain curry rice rolls are really good and comforting in cold weather, with a well-seasoned broth. The oyster sauce fish balls and curried fish balls are amazing, as is the HK style milk tea. They do take card but with a fee.
