“First time diner after hearing about it from my son and DIL. Not usually a fan of Mexican food, but this was more of a continental menu. All of our food was fresh, well prepared and delicious.

Josh was our server, couldn't have been more pleasant and extremely helpful in our choices.

Ensenada is so vibey and delicious! It’s a perfect date night spot if you like spicy raw seafood that’s not sushi. Everything we got was special and the salsas were a must-try.

Service was a bit of a mixed bag, not the friendliest at times. It was my first time here so I wanted to share my rounds of appetizers (chips and guac, potato flautas) and entrees (tacos) with my table.

“Great location, easy parking, (maybe I was lucky) parked right in front of the hotel. Great vibe, decor and views. Perfect for a date or night with friends. Service was great. Food was delicious but they would do well to increase the portions, as most every one else has said. My 6'2" husband inhaled his two birria tacos as they were smaller than his palm and cost $18..I too was disappointed in the 2 shrimp on each of my shrimp tacos, again $18. Would definitely return if the portions met the cost, otherwise it was a fun one time thing.“

“I come here often because the food is delicious and the drinks are good BUT the service is SLOW. Why am I waiting 15 minutes for a drink ? And over 40 minutes for tacos ? I definitely feel they need more staffing because now I find the business if becoming more and more busy, which I love for them! This place is in my neighborhood so I want it to thrive but I hate the slow service.

Also, my food has been inconsistent. I love the brunch tostada but sometimes it comes with an egg over medium and sometimes overhard. Which is it supposed to be?! So now I specify how I want it.
Also, I've gotten pastor tacos with pineapple, which is how it's supposed to be, but the last few times I've gotten NO pineapple. Why so inconsistent?
I was told the chicharon taco is no longer an option on the menu. So when do you plan on taking it off ? I've been there twice since I've been told that and it's still on the menu.

After my time there last night, I unfortunately need to give this place a break. There was 1 bartender and this place was busy. I waited 20 minutes for a drink.I saw there was a large party that had just ordered their food when I got my drink. I did not want to wait the usual 40 minutes for food so I decided to leave after my drink to eat elsewhere. I'm hoping the service improves because I do want to come back.“

“Is nothing fancy but is not supposed to be. It is a outdoor beer garden style but is exactly what me and my friends wanted. The food is good I am assuming but we didn't get to eat it. We went to order and they were not taking orders at that time because they had a backlog. By the time they started taking we had to leave. My guess is that the food is yummy and probably they will have the need to expand the kitchen at some point.“

“I absolutely love this place! I wish there was one in Pittsburgh because it blows chipotle out the water! It’s open up until 3 AM and delivers every time. I was staying not too far away in Brooklyn and had taco bees every single night. That’s how good it was good customer service and the guy who works there. I believe his name is Donnish was absolutely amazing very friendly and made me want to come back because of his personality and great customer service. We absolutely need one of these in Pittsburgh. Not gonna lie I was a bit worried about the B rating they have, but the facility was clean and taken care of.“

“This is my favorite Mexican place in all of Brooklyn. Such love and care in all of the food. Good but lowkey music, cool art, lots of space. The service is amazing. Also everything is gluten free and nut free so great for allergies. So many vegan and vegetarian options. The meat they do serve is selective and delicious. Super accommodating. I really love this place. Would definitely have my birthday here or something, or even a small engagement party. Really can’t give enough love to this spot. It’s one of my happy place restaurants.

We ended up doing the Restaurant Week menu because it featured several of the dishes we'd already eyed on the menu. Everything was delicious, and the staff was so friendly. It's maybe a bit out of the way from the center of things (since it's right by the bridge), but it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the mood for upscale Mexican.
