“I took my friend there after we had not seen each other in long. It was the best choice I have made. We did enjoy our meals. I had the Grimps tacos. I must say it was one of the best I had in a long time. And he had the chicken burritos. He loved it. I would like to go back to try more things on the menu.”
“Overall a good night out, usually we cook at home but wanted to give the kitchen a night off… very impress by the time we walked in, we were seated with no issue, then the manager Jeff came to Introduce himself to make sure if we had any concerns to address him, we had no need to because he stayed on top of dining experience, of course the server was fantastic and definitely will request him on our next visit, I guess we have to make it a tradition to come here next time I choose not to cook… 10 out of 5”
“Every time before last night I had been to New York City, I've only ever had my visits in Manhattan. This was my first time in Brooklyn. I had come to the city to go to a stop on the Light Places Tour as I had purchased a ticket well before the event. I was already checked in to The Bogart at LuxUrban (did they ever get a Yelp page added yet?) and before I went to go dance my brains off, I needed something for dinner. This dinner was one of the last things I had worked out a plan for for the visit and only managed to reserve a 7 pm table on the morning of on Google.Out of towners such as myself wouldn't just be able to know about this place like 80 years beforehand, but I'm glad I had found this. It serves New American and Mexican food alike, but its look is unmistakably Mexican. Red walls and the decor really sell the look and it pulls it off SUPER well! Everything was easy to find, so you for example didn't have to go on a 90-minute manhunt just to get to the bathroom. The food you see in these 2 photos was my order. It was my first time having Esquite, and the Chicken Milanese smelled great upon arrival. Everything I had in that order was delicious and I definitely recommend this place if you are in Brooklyn and are in the mood for Mexican food! Seriously, the Esquite especially was heavenly! The service was also really good. Was seated pretty right away even though I was about 20 minutes early, and I was already eating by the time my reservation was actually supposed to begin. Waiter was nice and even checked in every so often to see how I liked the food. I even got to watch a good portion of Spider-Man: No Way Home on their TV to my side as I ate which was a nice touch.Rock on Leslie's!”
“The food and service is always great. I was pleasantly surprised with the desert special. The chocolate Tres Leches. It was delicious. Shout out to our waiter Carlos. Always taking the time to explain every dish. Also, he remembered us from the weekend before we were there for Brunch. Looking forward to our next visit.”
“Recently visited NYC for the marathon. We were so fortunate to find this gem. The staff couldn't have been more kind and generous. Just had the best time and we made sure we could go there a couple of times during our short stay. Food was excellent!! Wish we could have tried everything! The morning of the marathon, tamales and drinks were out on the street. So good.Several of my group loved it, as well. So convenient and carry out went great. Chocoflan dessert was amazing!! Thank for making our visit so memorable!”
“The overall rating is a 9/10. Recommend trying the Al pastor.Food: Tried the Al pastor, saudero, longaniza, and nopales. All were well above average.Atmosphere: Very nice place with outdoor seating. Clean and well laid out.Service: Friendly and decent wait times. No real recommendation for improvements.”
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Brooklyn!! The food, service and cocktails are just impeccable.I had the short rib tacos last time I was here and they were tender and perfectly seasoned. Another must have is the flan… just perfect!I’ve been coming here for about a year now and this place never ceases to amaze me. They are always consistent with the food as well as the warm and attentive service. If you’re looking for a game-changing drink, order the mezcal verde! Devine!!!”
“Their food is delicious and has a lot of complex.Service is good. Whenever service is needed, they would come to help. The place is quite packed. I hope they would have fewer tables to make customers more comfortable. The place is way too dark that I could not even see what I was eating.”
“Such a cute cozy restaurant. Service was really good; waiter was attentive and friendly. Loved the free chips and salsa! Fajitas were delicious and juicy. I got the churrasco which was a little burnt on the edges so it tasted a little bitter but not too bad. Rice and beans were great. We enjoyed the popcorn calamari as well- the sauce paired with it was perfect! Honestly prices are pretty good for NYC. Would come back!!”
“I can’t believe it’s been 4 years they’ve been here! I’ve been coming here since they first opened their doors. Breakfast and dinner are always amazing. Food is always and I mean always fresh. Service is always top tier. Getting their Liquor license put the cherry on top for me, because their mango and passion fruit margaritas are so good!! Cheers to another 4 years!”
“Seriously the first bite from the fish taco just killed me. It’s so hard to find good seafood taco spots in the city and truthfully this is probably the best one I’ve had. Makes me smile so hard thinking about all the bomb tacos I ate here :)”
“Acapulco is hidden masterpiece. It's nestled in the quiet streets of Greenpoint, and the food transports you to another land. The steak taco, vegetable fajita, and nachos, specifically, are like eating a baby angel - perfection! I cannot recommend this eatery enough!”
“I've ordered delivery a few times now , and although I rarely write reviews I felt this place really deserved some attention. The food is always great, tasty and filling. Specially for the price ! I have yet to actually go to the restaurant but I'm sure if the delivery is good , having the food within minutes is even better.”
“Deeeeelish. The food really speaks for itself here. You can tell it’s homemade; I got tacos-carnitas and steak. The steak was so juicy and crispy I will def be craving it. The patio is super cute and has a lot of seating. I went around noon and it wasn’t busy. Only thing I’ll say is the server was nice, but I wish I would’ve gotten a better explanation on the menu/the restaurant story. With it being less busy, it could’ve been nice to connect about the restaurant. I will be back though!”
“This sandwich made me SO happy.Sure it might have been a little heavy on the cheese, but who am I to complain about that? The carnitas were flavorful and tender, the toppings were fresh and perfectly complemented the meat, and the sandwich was altogether very well wrapped. It's also enormous, so definitely consider sharing. It is cash only.”
“Consistently phenomenal food, amazing happy hour, a chill and friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and great at mixing fantastic drinks. An absolute Bushwick must! The El Presidente burrito is a personal favorite and their Guac Trio is always a great start.”
“Tacos were delicious! This is my first time going to this taco truck location. Growing up in Brooklyn, I frequent the Tacos El Bronco restaurant on 4th Avenue quite often to get my taco fix. One weekend night, my husband and I find ourselves in Brooklyn and we decided to do a memory lane food crawl of all my childhood favorite foods. It was a rainy, wet Saturday late night but the truck was still jamming! We got four tacos ($3.00 each) and a small birria soup ($5.00). Lengua, Al Pastor, Bistec, and Chorizo were our choices of meat for the tacos. They were all delicious! My favorite was Al Pastor and hub's favorite was the Lengua. The Al Pastor was perfectly seasoned and the mix of spice and pineapple was darn good. I also loved the grilled green onion that it came with. One thing I would change is that I wished that the tortilla can be a bit heated or grilled - it tasted a little bland. Nonetheless, I am coming back again! The small birria soup came in a coffee paper cup but was really tasty, it had plenty of meat and just a squeeze of lime made it even better! Cash only!”
“A gem of place! Not your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. I came here on Labor Day and what a fantastic choice it was. Loved the spacious, simple and tastefully decorated space. Our waiters were friendly and attentive. We were a group of nine and getting served was pretty quick considering our size. The guacamole and chips, along with the corn on the cob was out of this world. I had the shrimp quesadilla and wow, my eyes just rolled backwards from how juicy, tasty, fresh and authentic it tasted. Lol!! I cannot recommend this place enough. You will not regret dining here.”
“Came for dinner and drinks on a Sunday night. Wonderful atmosphere and great, attentive, fast service. We even got a small shot at the end on the house! The ceviche and the shrimp tacos were FIRE. I also ordered the paloma which was delicious.”
“Hands down the best tacos! They serve them with a side of fried cactus and grilled scallions. Unlike most other Mexican joints, the meat here is never over cooked, always tender, and a bit greasy, yum! The guacamole is fresh made with home cooked tortilla chips. I keep coming back for more!”
“I lLOVE the nachos guacamole!! Tacos are hit or miss. Usually they are good, but sometimes the shell is stale and has a weird taste. Still my local Mexican go-to...Vegetarian options: There are pretty good vegetarian options, tacos, nachos...”
“Possibly the best birria I have ever eaten . The consommé was so flavorful, the piña hot sauce was delicious (the green sauce was my fave tho) The place is a no frills deli that sells mexican products from drinks to snack . The customer service was great, the gentleman that took my order took the time to explain the menu with a smile . Spent about 30 bucks for 2 people and enjoyed every penny spent .”
“Exceptional vibe! But I will not visit again..The first two pics show all I got paying $100 (inc. tip). Wow when the server told me that the dish would be very small, I thought it's totally fine cuz I am not a big eater. The most expensive Mexican food I have ever experienced all over the world.”
“Love Haab so much. My boyfriend and I probably order from them once a week. Their breakfast burritos, vegan quesadilla and Seitan tacos are incredible. The burrito is so hefty I have to take breaks while eating it. They also accommodate all of my weird requests for alterations… “less rice more other stuff” “regular cheese instead of vegan” “not fried quesadilla but grilled”. Love these people and their food”
“This was the best dinner we hade during our stay in New York.Excellent dishes, large portions. Lovely lady that served us. It was our cheapest dinner during the whole week. You bring your one beer and wine, and if you have any you buy it in the store next door.”
“Excellent value with excellent food! Great serving size of guac for the price and it’s very fresh. We asked for spicy and it wasn’t very spicy, so if you like spice maybe say extra spicy. The chips and salsa are super delicious! We got fish tacos and the veggie burrito. My partner who grew up in the city and lived here all her life says they’re the best fish tacos she’s ever had in nyc. The veggie burrito was crazy good, full of flavor, and huge. The tortilla it was made on was ?Moral of the story. Go here and support them. This quality of food at those prices is rare now in the city. Help them keep it that way!Oh and the blackberry cadillac Marg was also great. I was worried it was gonna be sugary and overly sweet. It wasn’t, it was well made and tequila forward.”
“Delicious. Especially the Torta House steak burrito - it is so fresh with ingredients, rich with flavor, and has the right amount of sweetness. A version of this comes as a sandwich, but I prefer it as a burrito. I’d return just for this burrito.”
“Wonderful experience. The bartenders and staff are warm, welcoming, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable on tequila and Mezcal alike. Fantastic selection for tastings and the cocktails are well worth the money. Great spot for any tequila/mezcal lover.”

“¡K Rico! This was my second time coming here with my friend, who's a regular, I had the squash blossom enchiladas, ¡vegano!, I'm a vegan, they were so good. The squash blossom enchiladas were hitting! I was practically doing the yummy food dance in my chair from all the textures, unctuousness and umami it was delivering in such a delicate humble dish with it's thick wholesome sauce. We shared the chips and guac, I asked for salt, knowing from the time before that all the flavors are there, it just needs some salt, for me, to make them shine. Obviously you rather it be under salted then over, got to watch my pressure. The chips are always fresh and what you expect from an authentic Mexican restaurant. To drink the waitress recommended the spicy passion fruit margarita and it was so deliciously well-balanced with sweet, spicy and tart, that I made my friend try it and she agreed. Tía behind the bar is a Queen mixologist. The energy here is grounding, the set up is simple allowing the experience to shine. Everyone working there seems to be from Latin American, it does feel like a home kitchen restaurant. As opposed to other "authentic Mexican" places you may go in NYC where the staff are cold hipsters, the owners are wealthy investors and the chef is Indian. There's actual Mexican people chilling here. The food doesn't always come out fast, so go with people you like; don't kill the vibe. The first time I dinned here, I got the nopales tacos. They were good, I just don't think I appreciated it as much, because a month before that I had nopales tacos grilled over fire along with spring onion, topped with fresh salsas, with the grilled tortilla in the backyard of my Mexican friend's bike shop for his birthday. With a michelada! Nothing is really going to top that nopales experience. But I do recommend the nopales tacos here, I know it's hard to get that outside fire grill on food in New York indoor dining, but that flavors were good and the texture was right. If you've made it to the end of this review, congratulations, you're probably very hungry and you should just go eat at Martha's concina.Vegetarian options: I'm vegan and I was able to enjoy different plates on the separate occasions I went. Vegan dishes are clearly marked and the wait staff is knowledgeable. The Vegan/veg options are well orchestrated full meals, made from natural whole foods with developed flavors.”
“DELICIOUS FOOD!!!! One worker, (I forgot his name but it starts with a Q) is very very kind and whenever I go he is who serves my mom and I. Love the food here and we always leave satisfied. I am a very picky eater and Q is always very respectful of any requests I have. Very cute aesthetic in the restaurant as well!!”
“"I recently had the opportunity to visit this new steakhouse in Sunset and I must say it was an exceptional experience. A place like this in the area has been missing for a long time and I greatly appreciate the investment and ambition that has been put into this project. The concept is really interesting and ambitious, which makes it even more attractive. I'm sure this place will be very successful. We definitely plan to return soon, especially because of the delicious beef soup we tried, which was perfect. Also, I was pleasantly impressed that the price of the tomahawk steak was reasonable and the idea of serving it on a Himalayan salt stone was really cool. This added a unique touch to the dining experience. All in all, this steakhouse is a welcome addition to Sunset, and I'm excited for what the future holds for it. Keep it up and much success!"”
“2nd time ordering from them. Both times great communication and really fast delivery. 1st time trying it, took by surprise with the flavor. Enchiladas de malinche de pollo, can't go wrong with that. And the burrito is crazy heavy. Tacos homemade tortillas stoopid delicious. Will keep doing business with them. Keep up the awesome work guys.”
“What a delightful place! As someone who loves mezcal, I couldn't believe the great selection of high-quality mezcals, all 100% artisanal and from different varieties. We paired those mezcals with two orders of tacos: Campechanos, wow! The perfect balance between the three meat varieties, and finally, THE COSTRA, it's a MUST! I won't say more. When you enter the place, it seems like it's just a bar, but they have tables at the back and even a quite large patio in the back part. Highly recommended.”
“Phenomenal steak. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. It's pricey but all the ingredients are fresh. My steak was topped with fresh corn, trumpet mushrooms, roasted green and red peppers, potatoes, and fresh cilantro. The sauces are fresh too. We were very satisfied with our meal and will definitely come back again.”
“Everything about this place is amazing… food is delicious. Hope they have a lot of great success in the future to come cause I will be ordering here.Vegetarian options: They make orders to what you want..so you can make any dish vegetarian”
“Let's start with the service: so kind, so attentive and helpful. Food trucks are a different breed here w so much love. Literallly loved the tacos here so much. 100% get al pastor tacos -- comes with radishes, cucumber slices and a charred scallion. The salsas that come with the tacos are also unbelievably flavorful, the green is herbacious and tangy. The burrito was stuffed with flavorful fall apart meat (I got carnitas). Absolutely recommendOnly thing I wouldn't particularly recommend was the birria quesatacos. The flavor was good but there was something lacking. Consume was delish though.”
“The vegetarian tacos with pea shoots were delicious! $16 is a little steep for 2 tacos, but I’d eat them again. Also the service was very friendly and attentive and there were plenty of open tables for walkins before 6pm (though it was packed when I walked by around 8pm).”
“You can tell they put a lot of care into crafting this whole lovely experience. Energizing space to be in, smart eclectic details you notice. And the foooooood is so good with the flavors in each dish- I was pretty quickly like Damn, I wanna learn how to cook like this- definitely coming back. And the staff seemed like they were having a good time. Good vibes n audience, + delicious. Try the non-alcoholic tepache drinks.Vegetarian options: Craft Mexican dishes that happen to be made with vegan ingredients.(n not the other way around)Dietary restrictions: They ask you before you put in your order if you have any dietary restrictions so you feel taken care of”
“You don’t want to make dinner for the family? no problem. Buddy’s is the way to go. this hole in the wall has everything tasty that you can think of. It has saved our family from many days when we did not want to make a home cooked meal. And it’s just as tasty as a home cooked meal. The burrito bowl - carne asada is delicious, the taco salad is superb, and the kid’s burrito is a life saver.”
“I am a Social Worker and I had a few hours to burn before making my next home visit. While searching for a nearby restaurant, Campos Grill came up in my Google search. Omg! Campos Grill is indeed a hidden jewel! Immediately, I was greeted with smiles and great energy. As someone who is pretty skilled in the kitchen ?my expectations were high! Flavor and Presentation are a must! Campos Grill exceeded my expectations. The restaurant delivers great-quality cultural cuisine and excellent customer service. I will definitely return!Kid-friendliness: The smiling faces will give children a sense of comfortability”
“Let me begin by expressing how remarkable the cuisine at this establishment is. My experience was limited to their tacos, but judging by their flavor, I'm confident that the entire menu is equally delightful. Arriving famished, I found myself savoring every bite to the point of cleaning my plate. This restaurant comes highly recommended from my end. Additionally, the ambiance is noteworthy. It's a cultural mosaic, celebrating various generations of Latin heritage through music and atmosphere. Even the bartender's charisma had me contemplating learning Spanish. The vibe here is absolutely fantastic. In summary, this is an exceptional place that merits a full five-star rating!”
“I call this a hidden gem. With an well rounded menu, nothing is out of reach for the cooks, the food is good all around. I must commend how well they treat the tortilla! Their tacos have flavor from top to bottom. Open late and they also sell flowers (in season).”
“I took my friend here for their birthday and it was so delicious that I took my parents a few days later while they were in town. The interior design is relaxed and tasteful and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. Unlike many restaurants popping up in this area is that the quality of the food absolutely met the price. Yes, the items on the menu are pricey, but they are delicious and made with quality ingredients. I can't wait to try their brunch menu in the future!”
“Rice needs more seasoning, its pretty bland. Orange sauce is smokyyy spixy i loveee it. Green sauce didnt have much taste and isnt good. I’m a fan of green salsa usually but in this case, no.I liked the tacos, shrimp was great. The shrimp tacos is fried shrimp w ingredients in tacos like jalapeños i loveeeee. Al pastor is flavorful and I would order again. Boing wasnt a big fan, I preferred it in a box from now.”
“Pork burrito bowl was phenomenal. Chorizo quesadilla was ALSO phenomenal. Wish they had horchata but ZERO disappointment with the quality of the food! Would make this a priority for a food stop if we ever cameBack to the area. They also have free water! Extra perk!!”
“I checked this spot out while walking through the neighborhood and decided to give it a shot. I will say that the menu is very underwhelming, not a lot of selections and expect to pay a little more than your usual Mexican restaurant, this spot is a little upscale. But I will say what I ordered was delicious! I got the carne asada steak and chips/guac. The steak was probably the best steak I've had in a very long time, definitely recommend it if you're looking to get a hearty and great tasting steak but just a heads up this isn't a cheap spot so expect to pay a little more than usual.”
“i always get tostadas from here and their tacos are good. everything on the menu tastes great. i've lived in the area for a long time and every time i had the chance to try out everything. 10/10 my favorite spot and the best part is it's not too expensive it's just right.”
“Had an excellent experience at Guevara's! I had the breakfast torta which had a mung bean fritata, red cabbage, tomato, bacon substitute, vegan cheese, avocado and mole mayo on a wheat kaiser. The mole mayo had just the perfect amount of spice and it was so flavorful. I also split nachos with my friend which were loaded with toppings! The guacamole was the best I've had and the vegan cheese was perfect! For dessert we split a guava and cheese donut. The frosting was just the right amount of sweet. To drink I had a sweet potato latte which was good but I wanted more of the flavoring. Sitting inside you are surrounded by plants. I love the atmosphere of Guevara's. Went again recently and got the torta milanesse and chips with queso. The chips are incredible.Dietary restrictions: Everything is vegan.”
“Had a tasting menu here for a special birthday. I have some dietary restrictions and they were SO accommodating. The food was stellar. The drinks were stellar. The service was stellar. I’ve been thinking of the cocktail I got ever since I’ve been here! Go check out this place. You will not be ”
