“Pure excellence. Every dish tasted authentically Greek, like your yiayia's cooking, but elevated, with fresh ingredients and real care in every plate.
We started with the dakos salad, the moussaka croquettes, and the gavros marinatos. All three were fantastic, and the croquettes were a fun, clever twist on a classic. For mains, the beef youvetsi was rich and comforting, and the slow-roasted arni was incredibly tender and full of flavor. Both tasted like they'd been cooking with love all day.
The atmosphere makes it even better. The space is cozy and warm, and it honestly feels like you've wandered into a little tavern tucked down a cobblestone alley in Greece. It's the kind of place you want to linger over one more glass of wine.

“Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“

The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and make the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food is delicious, and I especially recommend the branzino—it’s a must-try! If you’re looking for a restaurant with great food, wonderful hospitality, and a family-like vibe, Stamatis is definitely worth visiting. We’ll be back!“

“Really enjoyed the takeout I ordered for delivery. The Royal Greens Salads are huge!!! I would say they're twice as big as other salads chains. I wish it was easier though to know the dietary info for the salad dressings as I could not tell which ones were vegan. I love that you can choose your own protein and swap some of the toppings or build your own. I also got the green tofu curry dish from SriPraPhai as well. The sauce was incredibly flavor and I liked the amount of kick it had. It was spicy but not too spicy for me atleast. I do wish it had more tofu in it though as it felt very sauce heavy. I would order takeout from here again especially if I was getting food with someone who wanted something different then me. I appreciate the free delivery and the amazing portion sizes. It's nice to be able to order multiple cuisines as well.“

“Went here for dinner with my wife. We got a large greek salad, grilled octopus, and a grilled seabass. The greek salad had plenty of feta and olives and was very satisfying. The octopus was delicious and nicely charred. The fish was perfectly tender and flavorful. The meal came with plenty of bread as well. Highly recommend! They are cash only and have an ATM inside.“

“Best Gyros I’ve had. I literally ate at this place after a 130+ Fahrenheit Fever and ate chicken, lamb & beef Gyros for 3 days which nursed me back to health.Gyros so good it brought me back to life after almost dying from a 130+ Fahrenheit fever“

Be Prepared to be taken on an incredible food tasting journey. The Mediterranean spread which included the spicey feta AMAZING! Then we had tuna tartare EXCELLENT!! And just when we thought we were done we forgot we ordered lambchops JUST WOW!!! DELICIOUS! We also ordered the mashed potatoes as a side and all i gota say is MASHED POTATOES SHOULDN'T TASTE THIS GOOD!! WOW!!..A big Thank you to Anna and the whole team. The servers and staff went above and beyond. We will be back.“

“I live close by so I’ve been here a lot. It’s extremely consistent and very very good. Prices have gone up several times over the years but it remains a good deal for the quality and portion. And because I live close, I see how thoroughly they clean each night. Great lunch specials.“

“Cold brew was good and strong. Came hoping for a proper breakfast, and the food case was pretty sparse by mid-morning. Ended up with a croissant that was fine but not memorable. Come for the sweets and coffee rather than a meal, and you'll be happy.“
