“Just went to Greek City Grille and ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and the lemon potatoes were absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was so clean and decorated beautifully. Will definitely be coming back!“

“We ordered assorted gyros, souvlaki, tacos and baklava. The staff was friendly and the service was wonderful. Over all decent and accommodating to the greek culture with a twist of spanish. Only thing I would change is to add oragano salt and pepper to the gyros and don't blend the tzatziki makes it a bit pasty in texture but flavor was 7/10. The baklava less refrigerated time and more syrup not leaving the tops so dry. Would visit again.“

“Went here for dinner with my wife. We got a large greek salad, grilled octopus, and a grilled seabass. The greek salad had plenty of feta and olives and was very satisfying. The octopus was delicious and nicely charred. The fish was perfectly tender and flavorful. The meal came with plenty of bread as well. Highly recommend! They are cash only and have an ATM inside.“

The service was great and friendly, the server described everything in detail. The food took a bit of time to come out, but it was well worth it. The chicken souvlaki platter, although pricey, is totally worth it. There is SO MUCH food on the plate. The feta on the salad is creamy and better than any I’ve ever had. The pita was also really great, especially with the spot sauce. We’ve eaten here three times in a couple weeks. And the cherry on top? The place is EXTREMELY clean and well cared for. Be sure to try the rice pudding for dessert! One of our go-to spots now.“

“I honestly don’t know how it has taken me this long to write a review for Gyro King. I could have sworn I already did. I’ve been coming here since high school, and we are NOT going to discuss how many years ago that was as a tear slowly rolls down my cheek. 😂

The best part? One of the same guys is still working here after all these years and actually remembers me. I love that!

Gyro King is a true Bronx staple. If you’ve never been, get up and go. It’s conveniently located about a block from the 4 train at Fordham Road.

Now, if you’re driving, welcome to Fordham Road. Parking can be a mission. Somehow, I almost always manage to find a spot right outside. At this point, I’m convinced it’s fate.

Inside is pretty tight, but it’s well lit and has a long counter where you place your order, grab your food, pay, and keep it moving. There are also a few tables and chairs outside if you want to sit and eat.

The menu is HUGE. They have just about everything you could imagine. On this visit, I grabbed the Gyro Platter, Beef Shish Kebab, French fries, and a few slices of their Gyro Pizza.

The Gyro Platter was exactly what I remembered. A huge portion loaded with seasoned lamb gyro meat, lettuce, onions, tzatziki sauce, and pita bread. Filling, flavorful, and a classic for a reason.

The Beef Shish Kebab had a great smoky flavor, although this particular order was a little fattier and chewier than I would have preferred. The flavor was definitely still there, but the texture could have been better.

Now let’s talk about one of their newer creations, Gyro Pizza. After all these years, somebody decided gyro meat and pizza needed to meet, and whoever made that decision deserves some recognition. 😂

They take a cheese slice, pile seasoned shredded lamb gyro meat on top, and finish it with their creamy tzatziki sauce. It sounds simple, but it WORKS. Savory, cheesy, meaty, creamy, and ridiculously satisfying. I’ve ordered it three times now, and it has been delicious every single time. Definitely give this one a try.

Will I be back? After coming here since high school, I think we already know the answer. Absolutely.

And now they finally take Apple Pay, so I don’t even have to remember to bring cash anymore. Welcome to the future, Gyro King! 😂“

“My husband, and I, ordered food, for delivery.
We purchased the small garden salad, with its generous portions of feta cheese, Romaine/ iceberg lettuce, and sliced tomatoes. We chose the protein add-ons, of fresh, grilled salmon, and, falafel.
All, were very satisfying.
We also had rice pilaf, as well as hummus, and tzatziki dips.
We liked the rice, and dips, which complemented the warm, wheat pitas.

“We spent our 25th wedding anniversary at Kyma and it did not disappoint! It was more than just dining- it was a whole experience! The service was phenomenal as was the foo, from the appetizers to the dessert. We ordered the Agean special. The watermelon salad was one of my favorites! After the meal, they brought us two beautifully prepared desserts. And then before we left, the manager spent time talking to us and getting to know us on a more personal level. “this is a lovely family-operated Greek restaurant and bakery. Its biggest highlight is the cozy garden patio filled with green plants, which makes you feel like dining in a quiet Mediterranean courtyard.
We ordered spanakopita, Greek salad and grilled seafood platter. The spinach pie was crispy and savory, the salad was fresh with creamy feta cheese, and the seafood was well-seasoned. We also bought homemade Greek pastries from the sweet shop; they were absolutely delicious.
The staff were warm and helpful. Service was smooth and pleasant. This spot is ideal for brunch, date nights or small gatherings. I would highly recommend it and will definitely return.“
