“Nestled on 5th Avenue in Park Slope, this authentic Greek restaurant truly delivered. The menu was ample and had such a wide variety of delicious dishes to choose from. We were seated in their outdoor back terrace/garden. It was really nice! The Greek music in the background was pleasant and a really nice touch. Food was excellent.“
“Happy hour is a great deal $5 drinks for I think wine, beer, mojitos, margaritas, and espresso martinis. Mojito was meh, but the margarita was pretty good! We got the Medusa mixed platter which feeds 3-4 people and it was delicious. There’s also a bunch of apps on the happy hour menu as well. The beef stick and the lamb chop was delectable. Metered Street parking was readily available“
“Took my friend here for a belated birthday dinner. First time at Athena for both of us. Everything was superb! Attentive, friendly staff, , affable and gracious host/owner(Teddy), great wine, food, and dessert menus. Food was delicious. We would definitely return to this delightful corner gem in Park Slope!“
“Meze is a great go-to neighborhood eatery! I've been coming here for 2 years now, and it never disappoints. Every dish is delicious and hearty, so there's no wrong choice. The service and ambiance are also top-tier. Highly recommended!!“

“Omg this place is amazing!! My sister recommended this place to me and I am so happy she did. Not only do you fall in love with every bite. But Eddy is so great!! He is very genuine and gave my sister and I the best experience. Not only did he make us laugh, but he let us try several ingredients. We felt so welcomed. Such a great gem in Brooklyn!! Clean, satisfying and worth every penny. Thank you Eddie !!“
“Nice restaurant close to the F/G station, you can park on the street, and there are buses that go down Smith. The menu is confusing; they have a code for vegetarian options, but that includes fish roe and octopus. If you want to be sure, just ask about the item you're ordering. The lentil soup is a good hearty portion, and the spanakopita is excellent. Lots of filling, well mixed and prepared (I.e. they don't just toss big chunks of feta with frozen spinach and call it a day like some places do). They were out of the beers on the menu but the house wine was fine. It smelled a bit strange in the back but in the front it was fine, so probably not something that happens often. Relatedly? single stall restroom in the back. Fast and friendly service. Pay cash to avoid a 4% surcharge!“
“What a wonderful experience. The food was delicious! 10/10. We had a lunch of over 30 people and every person said the food is delicious and fresh. Afaq is a wonderful person. He is extremely helpful and polite. Can’t say enough about him and the business. Highly recommend!!!“
“What a great experience!! Fun, energetic and great food!! George, the Owner, was polite, and he knew his clientele by name, service was great, the lady behind the counter was a machine!! Great Food, fresh Hollandaise sauce, nice portions and great atmosphere!! Will be back“
“Ordered the veggie burrito bowl. A great option for vegetarians, vegans and people looking for gluten free options just tell them to hold the sour crème. The bowl basically has grilled veggies like eggplant, squash, tomatoes etc over a bed of yellow rice. It comes over a tortilla wrap however you can tell them to exclude or just not eat it. In times where you’re hungry and need a full meal this hits the spot. Great flavors, fresh ingredients and made to order. My favorite place for a Mexican style veggie bowl.“
“Excellent food and wonderful service. Was recommended by a friend of mine. A good alternative to King Souvlaki and with more vegetarian options. Reasonable prices and the lunch special is well worth it! And everything was delicious!Vegetarian options: Falafel, vegan pita, fish options for pescatarians.“

“We had dinner there last night, and really enjoyed the experience. Very enjoyable comfort food (chicken capresi sandwich for me, and spinach pie with salad for my husband) and a Malbec that was delicious and not expensive. Look forward to returning.“
“Great Greek Place. The owner is great. Bartender young woman was lovely, we were here for a doctor's meeting and Niko served our group. Food is great, we had great Greek wines, nice desserts. Appies are amazing, try the grilled octopus, saganaki, greek salad, galamari, and lambshank, lamb chops, or grilled whole fish selections which is fresh, charred on the outside and steamy inside.“
“I stopped in here with my son yesterday afternoon for a quick lunch and it was so yummy! We got the cheese quesadilla, the Texas burger, and the apple pie. We also each got hot chocolates. They were so good! The staff were really nice. Also, since the place was kind of empty, they even suggested we sit in a bigger booth. We really enjoyed ourselves here.Would definitely come back.“
“I brought my friend here last week for a sandwich. We got 2 sandwiches to take out. We sit down, start eating and my friend goes "it's so good I'm gonna cry"...and no she doesn't do drugs lolHands down the best Greek food I've had in my life <3“
“Food - 3.5/5 It was pretty decent. The fries were a bit well done and the pork souvlaki was a tad dry. Chicken souvlaki was better than the pork. Service: 5/5 Excellent service. Felt pretty welcomed. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Very charming and tasteful if you will. Good place to actually sit down and have your meal.“
“Awesome brunch. Wait is really long on the weekend however and they only do walk-ins. Food came out slow and service left something to be desired but food mostly made up for it. I'd definitely try and come here more often if I lived closer and it wasn't as busy!“
