“What a lovely surprise ! I knew the staff as they were formerly working at the iconic Yaya’s Bakery, a staple family business in 31 st that closed down after many years of business. Malú offers unique pastries, such as the Dubai chocolate cheesecake that is to die for, I ordered their olive bread as I used to do when Yaya was open. Their berry napoleons are the best, the spanakopita and the leek pies are very fresh and tasty, I also ordered them. In summary, a unique business in terms of quality, variety, cleanliness and the warmth of their staff. I highly recommend Malú and the only regret I have is that they are not closer to me as they used to be, but worth the walk !“

“From the moment I filled out the form to inquire about a cake to the time it was served at our event - it was all perfection!!
Let’s start with the flavors- an array that is as long as it is delicious. We worked on the design and chef Nick suggested lucite dividers between the 3 layers that made the 3 cakes look like they were floating! It was so unique and fit the vibe of our event. Then we had a tasting…that was maybe the most challenging part - due to the amount of flavors he offers - one better than the next which made it hard to choose since they were all excellent. We landed on the strawberry champagne cake with vanilla bean frosting and strawberry compote. Everyone commented on how delicious our cake was! I can’t wait to have another party to have Chef Nick make us another cake! Don’t think twice about working with him for a truly beautiful and delicious cake! You won’t be disappointed. “I never had Baklawa before. I had a placed saved on my map for a long time which is in the city. That placed closes at 6pm. So I decided to look for other options.
This place came up and decied to visit here. There was only one person working behind the counter. And there was a huge line. The line went outside the door. I asked the guy, first time trying this what would you recommend. He said Baklawa and Kunafa those are the best sellers. We got 1 piece of original Baklawa. And small piece of Kunafa. We wanted some other items but there was a huge line and only one person working so we left.
They have large variety of Baklawa. I saw in their glass case.
The Baklawa tasted so good. It was my first time trying it and it tased amazing. Bit on a sweeter side. It almost gave me a little pain in my heart. Hahahah. But it was worth it.
We tried the Kunafa. At first I was not a fan as there is cheese on bottom. But after eating couple small pieces I was a fan of it. It tasted really delicious.

I would definitely come back to try some more different items. I would have given this a 5 stars if there were more people working behind the counter to help with the crowd.“

“Had an issue with uber eats including things the store didn’t have. The staff handled it incredibly well. Situations happen, however I appreciate their quick fix and still find the food great. Uber needs to do better with updating there systems considering it was uber that refused to let me cancel without being charged. Thanks to their great staff for the help.“

“Really enjoyed the takeout I ordered for delivery. The Royal Greens Salads are huge!!! I would say they're twice as big as other salads chains. I wish it was easier though to know the dietary info for the salad dressings as I could not tell which ones were vegan. I love that you can choose your own protein and swap some of the toppings or build your own. I also got the green tofu curry dish from SriPraPhai as well. The sauce was incredibly flavor and I liked the amount of kick it had. It was spicy but not too spicy for me atleast. I do wish it had more tofu in it though as it felt very sauce heavy. I would order takeout from here again especially if I was getting food with someone who wanted something different then me. I appreciate the free delivery and the amazing portion sizes. It's nice to be able to order multiple cuisines as well.“

“MCB made my 50th birthday cake and I have never eaten a more delicious cake. The cake itself was moist and flavorful and I have never had icing melt in my mouth before. I wish I lived closer so I could order from them more often.“

“This is crack, beware!!! If you can’t handle Heaven, do not consume. Just had a 1/4 piece of the dark chocolate chip cookie and almost passed out 😵; I felt compelled to come on here and just write a quick review. It’s warm, it’s gooey, it’s chocolatey, it’s got a great aftertaste as well. My goodness, this with some milk would likely leave you in a food coma so I won’t do it to myself. And the box is great, they put the cookies in a nice wrap that doesn’t stick to the cookie or anything, it’s not messy it’s just baked to perfection. Perfectly crispy and soft.“

“This place is about a 30 second walk from my new apartment and my dad who has a major sweet tooth was visiting so we went several times. Everything is reasonably priced and nothing was bad—my parents both liked the double chocolate croissant a lot. Also very friendly staff. The only small complaints are 1. Some of the more custard like and fancier deserts are quite expensive, though they take a lot of work to make I would assume. 2. This isn’t the fault of the bakery maybe, but both the 34th Ave and especially the Steinway locations are incredibly depressing spaces to enter—very gray and sad. I would never ever go there to sit and eat anything—though I will still continue to get things to go. Overall very good spot(s).

Ps. It is kind of a strange growth strategy to me for a bakery to have two branches that are less than a block from each other. I asked the staff at the newer Steinway location and am still not sure .“

“Went here with my brother for breakfast last week. It was excellent. I got huevos pericos (scrambled eggs with tomato, peppers, green onions, etc.) and he got the rice and beans with sausage. Both were excellent. The green hot sauce was also really good—we almost went through an entire bottle. Finally we split a vanilla do if which was more like a donut eclair; very very sweet but good. In short, I loved this place. There is no wonder it is so hyped up and popular.“

I’m not sure if this is the correct shop, but I visited last weekend to buy some Dubai chocolate. The owner wasn’t there, and his father was helping at the store. Unfortunately I didn’t have cash, and he wasn’t sure how to use the credit card machine, so I said it was fine and that I would leave without taking it.
However, he insisted and even ran after me in the street to give me the chocolate. I live in Manhattan and rarely come to Astoria, so it’s difficult for me to return in person.
I would really like to pay for it. If this is the right shop, could the owner please contact me so I can send the payment via Zelle or Venmo?

It’s a low-key, unpretentious spot with incredibly friendly service, making it a perfect quick stop for breakfast or a mid-day treat. Highly recommend checking them out if you are in Astoria! Also the Breakfast Plate or Lunch Plate is A Little Known Secret go to for a solid Meal that will fill you up at a low cost and it taste so good you will be finding any reason you can think of to make you way to this spot!!“
