They either need a better blender or the woman who made it needed to leave it in the blender for much longer. It was not smooth at all, it was pretty chunky and hard to drink. Not pleasant.“

“I walked to five different places, and I finally found this gem. Not only did I have the garden omelet with added bacon and peppers, I also had a hot pumpkin spice coffee. I didn't even need any creamer. Okay, I did put three packets of sugar. But still! Customer service was superb. There are so many different options. If I lived in the area, this would be a go-to spot. If you're getting off the subway, check this place out. You will not regret it, I promise. Go above and beyond for your customers, and they will do the same!“

“The SMB absolutely blew me away. I thought it was a perfect balance of salty, sweet, light kick of spice. The beef was season so perfectly and was soft and tender. The egg was super fluffy and I really enjoyed the kimchi to add another flavor profile. The bagel itself was also delicious - light crunch on the outside but soft and chewy inside. Perfect texture and honestly it was such great value for a huge bagel. The owner gave out free rice balls because the wait was getting long and those were delicious too.“

“A true “holy grail” of bagel shops. Their menu is the perfect balance of the classic NYC bagels we know and love, but with some newer flavor combos added to the menu that make eating here both nostalgic and exciting. The Presto Pesto is one of my favorite sandwiches in the city. Make sure you try their chocolate muffins as well. While it can get busy, the staff are friendly and attentive.“

“Yo Alex, you’re the man. You said this chopped cheese was gonna be the best—and you weren’t kidding. This is hands down the best chopped cheese I’ve had on the island without crossing over into Brooklyn.

The staff is super friendly, the whole place feels like home, and Alex himself is a serious jokester. Honestly, the entire experience felt like a Seinfeld episode in the best way possible. And shoutout to the guy behind the stove—you can tell he put real love into that roll.

“The food and service is always on point. I live in Brooklyn but love to stop here whenever I’m in the city or when I’m showing visitors around. I’ve had the avocado toast, the rueben benedict (a must), salmon benedict and the ranchero (brisket dish) and it all hits!! I have yet to try the lunch menu but it’s just the perfect breakfast spot. Coffee is always great too. Just consistently good food and such warm friendly service.“

Their salads are made fresh on the spot... they cut everything fresh as they need em... they don't store the lettuce pre cut in tubs like most restaurants do. This is just an example of what sets Ben's apart from most places. “I was visiting and asked someone on the street where I could grab a bagel and they directed me to Bagel Bob’s. So thankful they did. Best bagels, incredible people, generous friendly caring family people. They greeted me warmly every day, remembered what we talked about the day before, asked about my day and seemed genuinely interested. This was my first solo trip and they made me feel right at home. And a beautiful plant showed up on my last day which was lovely. I’ll definitely be staying in this neighborhood the next time I’m visiting but daily breakfast here just isn’t enough. I’m about to get a bagel sandwich to take to the airport with me with the homemade black and white they generously gave me on the house. Top notch place food and people. “This place was recommended to us for our “authentic NYC bagel stop” while on our trip and it did NOT disappoint!!!!

We stopped in at 11am on a Friday and there was no line, and even a few tables open (yes, this place has tables inside for you to sit and enjoy your bagels…it’s awesome). Dude at the register was super nice, and we were kind of still deciding our order when we were next which he was super patient about.

I got the bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel (plus avocado) and my husband got the same but with vegan bacon (which he said was delicious!). We paired our sandwiches with iced lattes, which were way better than we were expecting. We snagged a comfy table and both ate our entire orders. We nearly went back for seconds to try something else on the menu! We left just before 12:30, which appeared to be when the lunch rush was coming in. The line was pretty long but moving quickly on our way out.

Really hope we can make it back here before we leave NYC! One of the best, if not the best, bagel I’ve had, and in a clean, comfortable place with great service. A gem of a bagel shop!!“

“I’m not a big bagel fan, but this one was delicious. There is a small menu of 6 items and 3 types of bagels, but it is done to perfection. Not too tick and doughy, crispy on the outside with just enough Whitefish salad, touch of mustard, fresh cucumber & dill with slice of banana peppers. Don’t let the long line discourage you, the staff are fast and efficient.“
