“What a lovely bakery! I had one of the oat bars, the chocolate babka, and the hibiscus tea and each item was absolute perfection. As a habitual tea drinker, I could tell the leaves used were high quality and the taste was complex and tangy. The oat bar was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. And the BABKA…to die for—chocolately, pillowy dough, rich…who can ask for more? Also the woman who took my order was so kind and helpful! Wonderful spot with great service!! Editing to add: my roommate says the chocolate babka is better than breads bakery (who is famous for theirs) and I agree!!!!“

“Don't let Gandalf's scowling face discourage you! This pastry cafe is a MUST GO. We tried a little of everything, but my personal favorite (so far), was the pizza croissant. I've had A LOT of pastry in my time (my son went to the Culinary Institute and he's a pastry fanatic), but I swear to you, Elevenses' croissants are AMAZING. The pizza croissant had a little heat, a little tomato and a little cheese but BIG FLAVOR. I know it's annoying when someone capitalizes stuff for emphasis and I have never done it before so you can imagine, I'm not messing around. If you love flavor, freshness, an attention to every detail in every bite, you must try this place. It's a little out of the way, but honestly, it's a reason to come to Astoria. Manon, move over, Elevenses pastry has taken the prize.
BTW, just found out Georgia's landlord is being a brute and Elevenses will soon close. SAVE ELEVENSES!!!! “I loved this place! First of all it is Islamic owned so everything is halal, kosher and Zabiha certified. (I believe) The place itself was easy on the eyes so there was a lot of color everywhere to be seen and they select art pieces on display along with props as such. They actually had movie like posters of their most popular signature options which I thought to be pretty cool as well as a wall art decor you can easily take a picture with. Plenty of seating to go around and street parking is available. They had a wide variety of selected options to choose from in their menu and luckily it was detailed, organized and visually appealing with all the pictures of the food displayed right next to the name of the dish, meal or drink. I myself spent $15 to get a Nutella, strawberry, jelly waffle Croft with a feta cheese, baby tomatoes, cucumber, black olive, mint, buttered and toasted sandwich. I would’ve got a drink but I didn’t want it to melt in my car by the time I went home. By the way I do recommend the select ice cream, smoothie, milkshake and or frosted options they have on display because they add a lot of ingredients that makes you feel you are getting the best bang for your buck. Everything is cheap, healthy and delicious and the staff are pretty welcoming and accommodating.“

“This is your corner, efficient neighborhood coffee spot. No frills, simple, order your coffee and breakfast sandwich. Efficient team of two in the mornings, my wait on a weekday between 8:30-9:00 was just at or slightly under 10 min for a BEC and iced coffee, not bad, and cheap compared to what you pay for at Starbucks. I'd prefer to support this small business any day.“

“Awesome little spot, would highly recommend. Literally tasted like it was home cooking. The everything bagel with lox was great, but the chicken with rice and beans was my favorite. Chicken was fall off the bone tender and melted in my mouth, with a kick of flavor from house-made salsa verde and some heat for good measure. I was also surprised that such a small place had amazing coffee as well. I only wish I had a bigger appetite that day so I could have had the ruben sandwich! Looking forward to coming again. OMG sooooo freaking good. I can eat so many of them but I restrict myself to one. Even my daughter loves it. She gets so happy when we stroll on into the cafe because she knows what that means. “i had to put a laundry close by, so i wanted a place to have some coffee while i waited. this is a small place in the corner, serves coffee/lunch / breakfast.. the coffee was good, i also had a grilled chicken wrap (greek), which was surprisingly very tasty. they have a rich menu if you want to grab a bite. the staff was extremely nice and the place kept being full of people. the place is clean, you can sit inside or outside. they also had Wi-Fi. i was totally happy with everything. recommended 👍🏼👍🏼
