“I’ve been training in LIC for a new job in Manhattan, an area I have before this spent no time in. The coffee at our trainings was bleh so I decided to try Maman as it was right next to the corporate offices and I am so glad I did.

I don’t know how William is able to keep his warm and gracious demeanor being the only one in the shop, but without fail, he is there smiling, helping anyone who comes in and just being his awesome self.

Before coming here I was looking forward to being done with training, but now I feel a little sad not knowing the next time I’ll be able to visit William and his fantastic coffee shop!“

“I like this place because the coffee is pretty good and the food seems healthy. The coffee is slightly acidic but not enough to make me hate it. I don’t need fruity “notes” in my coffee!

They have a nice backyard but you can’t have food back there. Bummer. They have a clean bathroom that is open to the public, and a lot of decent pastries and free water. Nice people work there too.“

The adjapsandali was fresh and herby and paired great with the Georgian bread. We ate them so fast I forgot to take pictures. The khinkali mushroom dumplings were earthy and refreshing without being too heavy. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and the service is very prompt. Will definitely come back and bring friends.“

She guided me towards the marble pound cake and it was soo good. Light and airy, but moist and perfectly sweet.

“I was craving for Lamingtons for weeks! Tried to find a bakery that sells them. Found Sans Bakery & ordered online, it came in a nice box, beautifully packed & best of all, their lamingtons are superb! Perfect for tea time!“

“What a sandwich! Probably *the* most flavorfully complex sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Got the Cuban torta with “everything on it”. The owner did not disappoint.

Every bite is a dive into a wonderfully savory chew of complex flavors. I’m amazed.
