“Juan at Cotto at the LGA terminal C location was very attentive while visiting the terminal on our way back home from our NYC visit. It’s the airport so it’s a little more than if you got it somewhere else but I was very happy with the meatball Parmesan and the wedge salad my wife and I got as well as the Long Island iced tea. It’s New York and is not Burger King and you get what you pay for. They were all very good here. Juan was able to happily accommodate getting a little side of extra marinara sauce for my wife’s sandwich. Was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend. Enjoyed our visit.“

“The lovely man working there got slammed. He was on his own and with so many people waiting it was so hard on him. I think it was abusive of the management to do that to him, there needs to be more staff! The was one person clearing tables and one person preparing food. He was on his own! I was there for a while and so I could see how hard he was working....“

“Been meaning to stop in here for a while and we're glad we did! Made for the perfect lunch on an obscenely humid day. A/C was on, World Cup was playing, but the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. The service was fantastic.

“I met a friend here a couple times for their Spritz party. Great selection of Spritz’s and tapas that are easily shareable. They played great music that really set the vibe and service was very attentive without being overbearing (a plus for me!). I can see this place being a neighborhood gem in the near future! We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. “One of my fav Astoria bars. I lowkey don't even want to leave this review because I don't want it to be too crowded lol. But the staff and the owner both have a heart of gold and the hotdogs are so delicious. “Got the slider sampler. They were out of salmon, which was disappointing because that’s what I wanted to try. The sliders were still good and the service stayed top tier. I asked for white American instead of cheddar and one came out wrong, but they fixed it quick with no issue.
Also had the oxtail wontons. They leaned a little dry for me, but still solid as a finger food. That’s expected when it’s pulled and broken down like that, you lose some of the fat and juiciness.
The kale salad surprised me the most. I don’t even like kale like that, but this one was actually good.
Menu is simple. More shareable plates and finger foods, not a heavy sit down meal.
For 11PM on a Thursday, the spot was active. The vibe is warm and lively. It gets loud inside, so if you trying to talk or watch something at the bar it’s not ideal. There is outdoor seating if you want something more low key, and intimate.
Shout out to Avani. She was running both the bar and the floor and stayed professional the whole time. You would think she was the manager with how she handled everything. If you go, try to catch her working. She made the experience better.
But overall a good experience. I’d come back. TWB definitely made it to “Blizy’s Food Spots in NYC” list.“
