“Juan at Cotto at the LGA terminal C location was very attentive while visiting the terminal on our way back home from our NYC visit. It’s the airport so it’s a little more than if you got it somewhere else but I was very happy with the meatball Parmesan and the wedge salad my wife and I got as well as the Long Island iced tea. It’s New York and is not Burger King and you get what you pay for. They were all very good here. Juan was able to happily accommodate getting a little side of extra marinara sauce for my wife’s sandwich. Was a very pleasant experience and I highly recommend. Enjoyed our visit.“

“The lovely man working there got slammed. He was on his own and with so many people waiting it was so hard on him. I think it was abusive of the management to do that to him, there needs to be more staff! The was one person clearing tables and one person preparing food. He was on his own! I was there for a while and so I could see how hard he was working....“

“157 Tavern has been a staple in the area for 10 years and is an excellent choice for parties or group gatherings. You can simply provide them with your budget, and they will curate the menu for you, which makes the planning process very convenient.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.“

“The atmosphere was classy and inviting, and the food was delicious. My friend and I had the calamari, baked clams, chicken parmesan, and an eggplant dish, and everything was really good.
The cocktails were superb! I hardly ever drink, and mine was just right. The service was also excellent—the waiters were attentive and on point throughout the entire meal.
I live in the neighborhood, so I’ll definitely be ordering takeout and stopping by again for dinner or maybe brunch. It’s a great neighborhood spot, and I highly recommend it!“

“The BEST Sicilian square sourdough pizza on the planet 🌎 their sauce is organic and phenomenal, the cheese is wonderful, olives and if you feel like it Add some sausage, and the yummiest pecorino Romano shreds just topped it off. The crispiest crust and So incredibly digestible, because it’s sourdough. Sourdough is fermented and your gut loves fermented food… Love their little gem lettuce salad with their homemade dressing. Very simple here I think we ordered 3 square pies and of course brought some home The Sicilian squares heats up beautifully Just love OPS on Himrod Bushwick Brooklyn!!!! We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. “While waiting for dinner at a friend’s house, I decided to stop by The Frog, where I knew another friend was enjoying a lively pool (billiards) night. It turned out to be a great decision—we both had a wonderful time sipping organic wine and beer while meeting fellow neighborhood regulars.

“Stopped by around 10:30 PM for a late-night glass (which turned into two bottles 😅), and it was such a great spot. They have a really nice wine selection, and the server gave us excellent recommendations based on what we liked.

The space is super cozy with a warm, vibey atmosphere—definitely a great place for a date or a relaxed night out with friends. We also ordered a cheese and charcuterie board, and it paired perfectly with the wines.

We ended up staying a little past closing, and the staff was incredibly kind and never made us feel rushed. But the staff and the owner both have a heart of gold and the hotdogs are so delicious. “A hidden gem in flushing. First time visit here, the environment and vibe here are nice. There is a live music at Friday night. We ordered some skewers and some appetizer. We like the clams and starch noodles the most. The skewers are delicious too.“

“Got the slider sampler. They were out of salmon, which was disappointing because that’s what I wanted to try. The sliders were still good and the service stayed top tier. I asked for white American instead of cheddar and one came out wrong, but they fixed it quick with no issue.
Also had the oxtail wontons. They leaned a little dry for me, but still solid as a finger food. That’s expected when it’s pulled and broken down like that, you lose some of the fat and juiciness.
The kale salad surprised me the most. I don’t even like kale like that, but this one was actually good.
Menu is simple. More shareable plates and finger foods, not a heavy sit down meal.
For 11PM on a Thursday, the spot was active. The vibe is warm and lively. It gets loud inside, so if you trying to talk or watch something at the bar it’s not ideal. There is outdoor seating if you want something more low key, and intimate.
Shout out to Avani. She was running both the bar and the floor and stayed professional the whole time. You would think she was the manager with how she handled everything. If you go, try to catch her working. She made the experience better.
But overall a good experience. I’d come back. TWB definitely made it to “Blizy’s Food Spots in NYC” list.“
