“Wow, this place truly delivers! The pizza is one of a kind — the crust strikes the perfect balance, not too thick, and the sauce hits every note: sweet, savory, and just the right touch of tang as you chew. The location is prime, the space is clean and modern, and the owner? Incredibly warm and welcoming. He genuinely cares, chats with customers, and makes you feel like a regular from the start. The slices are fairly priced definitely better than most other places near by especially for quality pizza. This place definitely exceeded my expectations- totally blown away. Do yourself a favor and order the Grandma pizzas — they're absolute perfection. I'll definitely be back!“

“This place reminds me of the old days, man!!!

I went in around 12:30, maybe around 1pm today. Immediately my attention was diverted to the old style dining area. Some may complain that it’s outdated or boring - they obviously never had a good slice at a pizza spot that hasn’t changed since they opened.

That’s what you get here as for surroundings. Then the food… that’s what caught my eye. This gorgeous Sicilian pepperoni pie was sitting in the window, and I knew it was fresh, hadn’t been sitting very long at all. I asked the gentlemen at the counter, “I only have $10 flat. Can you hook me up?” He follows up with a polite, “What you looking for?” I said I liked how the Sicilian looked. He said it was $4.75 per slice.

I asked if adding a soda would still be under $10 and he said their cheapest go for $1.25

Hell yeah, brother! So I asked him to throw another slice in the oven for me. Very, very nice and professional guy btw. Wished I would have caught his name.

I love it here. This is gonna be my spot when I’m tired from work and just want some damn food! Haha! Thanks guys, you did great in every aspect.

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

I made a point to try some of their most popular dishes. The lobster ravioli was flavorful and well executed. The cheese appetizer was balanced and nicely presented, though I would probably pass on it next time. The star of the night was the spicy tuna appetizer, which really stood out in both flavor and texture. The decor is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere, and the service was friendly throughout the meal. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.“

I used to live on Grove, and back then it felt like more of a neighborhood secret. Now there’s almost always a crowd outside and someone trying to get the perfect corner table photo—but somehow it still feels real.

That’s hard to pull off.

I like it best at the bar. Cocktail, a few plates, nowhere to be. The room is busy and packed, but still somehow cozy instead of chaotic.

Zucchini fritti, tagliatelle, and a mezcal margarita - the zucchini fritti disappeared fast—light, crisp, salty, exactly what you want with a drink. The tagliatelle was simple in the best way. Perfect pasta, balanced flavors, nothing trying too hard.

Still a neighborhood favorite.“

“By far our favorite restaurant we visit in the city. Have been here over 500x and the tagliatelle with sheep’s cheese cabbage and shrimp will never get old ! Carmine runs a beautiful establishment on the UWS“

“We went into Cafe Mars with little knowledge beforehand and we're pleasantly surprised by our experience there. The food was overall excellent. We went when they had the Japanese Italian fusion menu and loved most of the inventive dishes. The salt bread was our standout favorite and the tofu time was solid.

We loved that the staff and the ambiance made it feel like it was a fun celebration of dining. From the first seating through the plating and music, it felt like a welcoming and positive environment to enjoy inventive dishes.

The staff was friendly and professional. It made me feel like if the staff are this happy with there, then they must be treated well by the restaurant ( I hope).“
