Forsythia NYC Reviews
Mildly disappointing experience with the carbonara. The dish was too salty, and the guanciale was cooked past the point of being crisp (it was tough and tasted like burnt bacon). And an extra $10 for spoon size of ricotta and butter for your bread is a bit ridiculous. When you're paying high-end prices plus an automatic, mandatory 22% service charge, the execution on classic dishes needs to be precise.
Food was really tasty - cacio y pepe was a standout. Service was top notch- So attentive and friendly and very on point. The charm of the restaurant is really a difference maker and the servers clearly understand that as they work to make your experience as relaxed and welcoming as possible.

Forsythia NYC is a cozy neighborhood gem known for its delicious and beautifully designed menu. The restaurant offers attentive and kind service, enhancing the intimate, cool atmosphere with charming brick walls, good music and lighting. Recommended dishes include the must-try lasagna, trout, and the delicious, fresh focaccia. The beet salad and arancini are also notable. For dessert, the stracciatella gelato serves as a perfect palate cleanser. The crab agnolotti is scrumptious and pastas are excellent, though the restaurant is definitely on the pricey side. The overall dining experience is consistently fantastic, perfect for groups of 2-4 people.
