The staff is a huge part of our experience and why it’s always first on our list. I would also add complimentary tap water, as is common in all restaurants. But none of that matters once you start eating — these guys definitely know how to cook meat.“

“The food was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The tomato salad was so fresh and flavorful, and the Short ribs Massaman was definitely one of the highlights—so rich and delicious!

We came on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty busy, but the service was still warm, attentive, and friendly. Everyone made sure we were taken care of even during the rush, which we really appreciated. Great food, great atmosphere, and wonderful service. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!“

Build-your-own bowls are a joy rather than a chore: the rice is properly seasoned (not an afterthought), the mango and edamame add real brightness, and the crispy garlic and furikake toppings earn their place instead of feeling like filler. Portions are big enough to leave you satisfied without the heavy, sluggish feeling you get from a lot of quick-service lunch spots, and the prices feel fair for the quality of fish you're getting. My only gripe is the seating — a handful of cramped stools near the window — but honestly, this place is worth getting as takeout and eating somewhere with a view. Beet salad was so good, burgers cooked to perfection, shakshuka with merguez sausage was delicious, the white truffles pizza with poached eggs was amazing!! “My husband and I Came To Brooklyn Roots last evening for the first time to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary . The food was delicious we ordered a few apps salad and an entree to share . Nothing disappointed us . Absolutely amazing felt like home cooking The service was great from the bartender the moment we walked in to the servers. “This is not a place you come to for atmosphere. This is a place for delicious falafel and other Middle Eastern foods, like shakshuka, kibbeh, etc., all vegetarian, since it's kosher dairy. The food is authentic Israeli-style. The staff is friendly, too. I don't wear a yarmulke, my wife doesn't cover her arms, and they serve us, and everyone I've seen walk through the doors with a smile. Good food and civility are universal. Give this little shop a try!“

“I love dilly dally!!! The name really embodies the experience: you don't want to leave. I have been many times, and the food is always high quality and delicious. The aesthetic and the staff make you feel at home there. I recently spent many hours there working during the day. There was wifi and many outlets available. I got the breakfast burrito, which was incredible, and sustained me to do hours of work. If you haven't been, you are missing out!“

“The food was really good but be prepared for an interesting experience. The whole experience was strange. Not good or totally bad. Otherwise we would have walked out but the vibes and the way they ran the place was strange. It could have been the specific day i mean the ac wasn’t working so that’s not their fault or a usual occurrence. However I felt like I was in Europe with the water situation. I’ve never been served cold green tea like it was wine it’s not a negative. They don’t have WiFi so be prepared for that. Then there was the transition for dinner. We came between lunch and dinner so they changed the lighting in the middle of the meal. I don’t mind a little dramatic lighting to set the mood infact I actually love romantic lighting. However there’s a difference between romantic lighting and darkness. If a manager is reading this I recommend getting better table lighting if you are going to turn the lights that low. They also don’t allow outside drinks. We were all going to get cocktails before but we’re kind of put out by not being allowed to bring the lattes inside.
