“CHOPPED CHEESE! People, this is the best chopped cheese. It’s perfectly crispy yet still juicy from the beef fat and condiments. Nothing beats this. Every time I had it, it was like taking a bite as if it was the first. Name a better feeling.Major shout out to the staff at Smith, so kind and smiley even at 1 am, and an extra thank you to the man who makes me a chopped cheese every time I come in.”
“I walked into the establishment from a Google recommendation. I instantly felt welcomed, and the music was vibes. Dave was kind and spot on in recommending the spare ribs and jerk chicken. And let me tell you, the food was mouth-watering! I will return, for sure!”
“Delicious food. We got the red curry with pork and basil fried rice with shrimp, as well two Tom tum soups. The soups were quite good, sweets and sour. The red curry was amazing and the basil fried rice really good as well. And with the lunch special they were very affordable! Really good place, esp for lunch.”
“Mariella is a gem. The staff is friendly and welcomes everyone when they arrive. The food is amazing...we shared two starters - meatballs and roasted squash salad...both super delicious. Entrees were gnocchi for him and roast duck breast with polenta for me and we cleaned our plates. We always enjoy dinner at Mariella.”
“The food and service is always great. I was pleasantly surprised with the desert special. The chocolate Tres Leches. It was delicious. Shout out to our waiter Carlos. Always taking the time to explain every dish. Also, he remembered us from the weekend before we were there for Brunch. Looking forward to our next visit.”
“This is my go-to spot for a quick breakfast or lunch! They have a wide variety of delicious sandwiches, and a good selection of healthy salads. My favorite is the the Kale Caesar Salad. I like their drink selection too - they have a large fridge with juices, teas, and kombucha, and can make any classic café drinks. The people who work there are also very friendly and welcoming!”
“I have yet to order something at Nurish which hasn't completely blown my mind in terms of quality, freshness and taste. Every single menu item is outstanding. Salads, incredible. Wraps, incredible. Juices & smoothies, incredible.I consider myself a well-seasoned foodie so I'm not easily impressed, but everything here is truly a hit. I am new to the neighborhood and feel so lucky to live close to this place. It's every health-conscious persons dream spot.I don't even want to know the amount of money I have already spent and have yet to spend at Nurish! Hats off to the owners. What a gem.”
“I placed a pick up order at this location. Order was prepared fast and with great consideration. For was fresh. Great quality. Generous portions. Lots of toppings and selection options. Really liked the special sauce and ponzu. Will order again.”
“Fresh delicious vegetarian food. I have tried almost everything on their menu & it never disappoints. Everything is made fresh when you order except the patties. The smoothies are unique & nutritious. It is also owned by my fellow Caribbean people, which is quite lovely.”
“They have a lot of different bowls and wraps. I ordered the chicken pesto bowl with quinoa (you can also create your own). It reminds me of Sweet green, but the portion was huge! It's enough for 2 people. They have a variety of smoothies too. I ordered the tutti fruitti smoothie which has strawberry, mango, pineapple, and orange juice. It was quite tasty and filling.”
“Always packed and for a reason. I felt like I was in someone's house while seating inside. Is very cozy. The food is very tasty and the owner has curated a great selection of drinks. New favorite spot.Kid-friendliness: Great chicken wings and fries!”
“This place is a hidden gem. I come here all the time ! I've tried multiple dishes and all so flavorful. This place reminds me of Thai food I would eat all the time back home. Does not disappoint. Things I've tried:- Pad Thai - Beef Noodle Soup - Kra Prow Nuar - Papaya Salad - Tom Kha”
“Cozy and quietish when we started at about 4:30 p.m. (on a Wed.), perfect for catching up and chatting.Amazing bar service and super friendly bartender!! Excellent drinks!!Loved the fries!Got busier as night progressed with very friendly and cool crowd.Service continued to be great even now seated at a table and with the place at full swing!Definitely recommend!!”
“This has to be one of the best Arepas ive had in a long time. It truly rekindled my love for arepas. You must and I mean must DRENCH your arepa in their green sauce bc omg delicious. Definitely gonna take all my friend and family here when they visit.”
“Hands down the best restaurant in BK. It has a really nice outside patio. Prices are fair and the food is really good. They have a little bit of everything. It's great for kids as well. The ambiance is nice as well. The servers are attentive. It's near the water, so wear a jacket! But great place for friends and family.”
“I was there last night to get myself or of those funghi 14 inch pies and it was delicious! Service was quick even though there was a lot of people on the line! I have ordered other random slices in the past over there to go and every time it was great!”
“Hands down one of the best falafel spots i have ever tried. I live 35 mins away and its worth me coming back here just for the falafel pita!! Beyond delicious, true authentic flavor and extremely nice workers♡♡♡ i would've had a picture to upload but it was too amazing to stop and capture the beauty of it, youre going to have to try it for yourself :P”
“Y’all. This is a pop up lunch time salad shop operated out of a bar. We weren’t sure we were in the right place and had to walk inside an old NYC bar to be sure. The salads were 100. Wish we had a spot like this by my office. I’d eat it daily.”
“What an amazing experience! It’s true, Lore is a small and exciting space with some of the best service and by far the best dosa I’ve ever encountered. All dishes were flavorful and high quality, we ate extremely well.Chef Jay personally delivered the first dish to our table and checked up on us later in the evening, what a treat for our first-time guests. He and his crew were seen hustling in the kitchen, creating magic in the small space. Bar was hopping, servers were on top of their game as well. Personally I love the energy from the beautiful space, being able to chat with fellow diners and feeling part of the community. Extroverts welcome!”
“Very solid Indian choice. We ate there (and were the only diners at 6 on a Saturday night - my guess is their business is overwhelmingly delivery and pick-up). Pretty basic and bright interior - with a TV with Indian game shows in the corner. Each of our starters and mains were quite good. More than satisfied. The prices are not just reasonable, but affirmatively low for the area. And the portions are large. If you're in the mood for Indian, this is a good call.”
“This is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in New York! It rivals Balthazar Minetta tavern, corner bistro, pastis, au cheval. Thank you to whoever work working on 9/23/23 - fabulous customer service! I will be ordering from here again!”
“I checked this spot out while walking through the neighborhood and decided to give it a shot. I will say that the menu is very underwhelming, not a lot of selections and expect to pay a little more than your usual Mexican restaurant, this spot is a little upscale. But I will say what I ordered was delicious! I got the carne asada steak and chips/guac. The steak was probably the best steak I've had in a very long time, definitely recommend it if you're looking to get a hearty and great tasting steak but just a heads up this isn't a cheap spot so expect to pay a little more than usual.”
“Had the Island Storm and Green Vibes minus the honey, smoothies…they were just right and refreshing on a hot sunny Summer afternoon. Also had the jerk plantain, ackee, and callaloo Patties. They were flaky, light, not overly filled, not greasy, satisfying and tasty. Nice for quick bites on the run or chilling at home. I dined in. Just really cool vibes on a hot day.”
“Came here with friends from Irland who wanted some middle Eastern style food and OMG I’m so glad we did. The food was amazingly delicious. As soon as we sat down they brought us a hot fresh from the oven flat bread with so many salads that colored up the table and this was only the beginning. I recommend this place to anyone it’s truly a Middle Eastern experienceKid-friendliness: They have crayons for the kids to draw on the paper like table cloth! It gave us adults some time to relax while kid drawing ☺️”
“Phenomenal pizza with fast and welcoming service, what more could you ask for! We ordered the salumi personal pie and it was phenomenal, super fresh. The salumi with the hot oil was perfect. The crust was amazing, very very crispy and kept it all together. The decor was very unique for a pizzeria with hilarious signage and booth seating. I'd definitely come back!”
“Absolutely delicious!!!We came to Abe's by chance and soon found out that we have been missing out all this time!Let's start with the seemingly simple design, with fantastic lighting and creative ceilings. Yes, ceilings, lol... really pretty rustic chic all the way around. Love it.Cute bar, comfortable chairs, and sizable tables for plenty of food, families, and friends. The game is on but not ON, and the funky music stays in the background. As newbies, we ordered oddly to try most of our favorites, and each dish was bursting with flavors!!Brisket over french fries ?!?!?! Sign me up!! A nice pile of soft, tender, juicy, flavorful Brisket over an ample amount of fries, perfect for sharing or to eat as a main! We immediately fell in food love! The steak tacos were divine! The headliner is the "shell" is a perfectly sliced round of jicima, making it lighter and gluten-free! Bonus! The meat was fresh and tender, the sauce was the perfect amount to add without overpowering. It comes with 3, but you can order a 4th for fair sharing. We ordered the tomato and cucumber salad over greens, which seemed more like an arugula ceaser with tomatoes, but it did not disappoint! A great salad, regardless of what you call it. Again, with the perfect amount of dressing to have everything coated but not wet. That's a skill in itself, often over/under done. And now let's talk about that Moty Burger heavily perfection!! Holy cow, was that spectacular!! Generous portion, perfectly cooked, high quality everything!!!! Super juicy for the perfect amount of drippy without being sloppy, great toppings and tasty bun that wasn't too bready. We are burger hounds and this is Absolutely spectacular!!!My wine from Isreal was a delightful new one on me, and my husband's top shelf G-n-Fresca is a great spin and a new favorite!!!If I were to make any suggestions it would be to up their game on the potatoes. They were all perfectly done, soft inside, snappy outside, but with so many fries on the menu, I feel a freshly cut would stand up well to the elevated quality of the rest of the dishes. But still great the way it is.Top this all off with a friendly, engaging waitstaff who went the extra mile to make us feel welcome !Who knew kosher hip could be done so well!(And for the record, we are not kosher, and I am not Jewish) it's just a great and welcoming neighborhood place to go no matter what your jam is!I would like to say out loud that it would be respectful to dress a bit modest given a kosher establishment. So fantastic! Thank you for a happy anniversary check note!”
“Ordered through grubhub and picked my food up. Super quick service and was done within 15-20 mins upon ordering. Atmosphere appeared nice from what I saw however the place is small like all the restaurants here.Food lost 1 star because the miso soup was bland and had limited flavor. It tasted more like water with a little salt in it.The sushi however, which is what you are going for, is impeccable. The spicy tuna roll had a great crunch and smooth flavor. The salmon roll was light and fresh. The sushi here didn’t leave me feeling heavy which is a great thing for a quick dinner. The quality is amazing. Skip the soup, focus on the sushiVegetarian options: There are combos and veg options that makes this place very suitable for those who do not eat meat/fish”
“Only really come here for their daily soups. They have a good selection of at least 4-5 soups daily. All soups are clearly labeled for those with any allergens or restrictions. I've had their clam chowder (which was yummy but a bit salty) and chilis. The chilis costs more than the other daily soups, FYI, but they are so good. I wish they label their containers better -- I always get confused on which is the larger size and honestly, both soup sizes look the same to me. You can come in and order fresh sandwiches made to order by the registers. Fridge area also have selection of prepared boxed meals and soups. Prices are comparable to other DUMBO restaurant prices -- not cheap. I've had catered sandwiches and food from here before. The sandwiches are always subpar though.”
“A little pressed on time, it warms my heart that we've had the time to dine-in before the game especially because I could support my fellow Russian American immigrants trying to run a business! Varenichnaya simply translates to "dumpling house" in English, a friendly and cozy year round place to get properly prepared borscht and vareniki (or pieorgy) run by a Russian American family. My spouse elected for the stroganoff which arrived with some pickled slaw and dill pickles while I elected for the sweet varaniki (the flavor at the time is cherry with not a sour cream that you can just get at a market, it's sweeter but not overly so, it's perfect actually) and our friend had the bouillon with dumplings. Very Reasonably priced for New York now, though they are cash only! I think I remember seeing an ATM in the bodega next door.”
“This was our first time trying this restaurant and already plan to come back! We came here for brunch on a Saturday and ordered concha French toast, frittata, and steak and eggs. Everything was delicious! Our server was also friendly and attentive. Such an enjoyable experience! 10/10 would recommend!”
“Unbelievable good !! I just wanna say last week I ordered 4 pans of chulent for my yeshiva The bochurim loved it. it was really really good, better than most places we have ordered from in the past absolutely 10 stars!!! Definitely ordering again.”
“We love Rondel, a small Ukrainian restaurant, with so much delicious food. A perfect place for gatherings, parties, christenings, birthdays…you name it. The staff is patient with clients, and is very attentive. My husband and I, got engaged here a year ago, so this place will always have a special place in our hearts. Слава Україні!! ??”

“Great salad and drinks. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Great location for a lunch or dinner in Prosect Park. Parking is horrible but worth the search. Movie theater next door for after movie meal.Vegetarian options: Alot of vegan optionsParking: Parking is difficult”
“Ruthie’s shifted into a wine-focused bar/resto not too long ago. I didn’t realize it and a friend told me to drop by. Came in tonight and was blown away… the best service, so friendly! Lots of delicious items on the menu. We tried a crab cake special, salad with squash (who knew you should serve squash in a salad but WOW so good!) and an amazing half chicken for two seasoned with molasses. We were impressed start to finish. Our wine was from Jura and as good as it gets. Come in before it’s impossible to get a table!Vegetarian options: Great place to take veg friends!Dietary restrictions: Love the veg optionsKid-friendliness: Lots of families come in”

Wow wow if i could give theme more then five i would best sandwiches ever .. the customer service was perfect very friendly people.. also store was very clean ???????????????? please guys open one in my city Chicago….”
“Popped in here after walking away from an overpriced food truck experience down the road.$7 for a taco is ridonk! So happy we found Jalapeño King. Authentic food, family run business. The tacos, tostadas, burritos, rice/beans, & chips/guac were all perfection.I can’t even begin to describe how amazing albeit spicy their salsas are too ?️!!!We’re new to the area but will certainly make this a regular dining option!”
“Order: Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai, Mango Sticky Rice, Thai Tea, and Thai Iced CoffeeThe food was delicious and it came out in a very timely manner. I wished I had stayed at the restaurant to eat because the decorations are really nice. I would come here again. Thank you to the staff for being extremely sweet, respectful, and professional!”
“I travelled all the way from Ireland via the Bronx to try the Johnnie roast beef sandwich and it lived up to the hype. Great atmosphere in the neighbourhood, friendly staff, great service and Awesome food! It's easy to get to just take the D train to coney island and get off at 25th Avenue. John's is across the street just down the road from the station. 10 out of 10. 100% recommend.”
“This place is super clean. The staff are friendly. I got the bagel with tuna and some hash browns. The bagel was fresh and great . However the hash browns were very disappointing they look amazing but lack on flavor. The coffee is has that great aromatic coffee smell that will get you charged up and ready for the day a head. The bakery items are top shelf and highly recommended. The staff clearly care a great deal because they keep this place immaculately clean.”
“this is the first bagel i had my first trip to nyc back in 2005 (an acquaintance hooked me up with a room in park slope), and it remains my favorite bagel spot in nyc.. actually, my favorite bagel in the lower 48 and canada (i haven't a clue what people see in montreal bagels).. reconfirmed (whenever possible) on my last visit in may 2023.. so.. good..my go to, since i was a teenager, is cinnamon raisin bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese (or w/e variant but walnut raisin is my fav).. theirs is cc is not too sweet and full of delicious chunky bits.. top notch..glad to know their are some fantastic mom n pop's still surviving in the world..”
“Fresh variety of American and Hallal food. Everyone who works here is super cool and will prepare your food as best to your request as possible..There are a few seats but its not really to dine in.. Definitely a great take out spot for wings, fries gyros, and more”
“I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. I got the sweet sub which comes with honey turkey, white American cheese, tomato, shredded romaine, banana peppers, honey mustard, and roasted red peppers. It was really good! I haven't had a sub in a long time and it really hit the spot. A great convenient spot for my sub fix.”
“First of all, I love the vibe here. Very, local, neighborhood aunts and uncles coming by to eat, drink, and lime. Then there's the food...soooo good. The coconut schrimp was to die for. The goat Buss up shut roti was heavenly. The drinks were nice and strong. I will definitely be back with friends”
“Being Italian and gluten free is hard. Gluten free pizza is usually a sad substitute. Not this pizza!! This gluten free pizza is amazing. The crust is lightly spiced, and the toppings are generous. Even if you're not gluten free, try their gluten free pizza! It's delicious!Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options for vegetarians.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are awesome!”
“The steak quesadilla was ona the best I've had. Full of meat and veggies and cheese and cookie to perfection. Alittle soggy alittle crispy. Perfect balance. French fries nice and crispy. Everything fresh! Can't wait to try their breakfast sandwiches. One of the best delis in the area”
“INCREDIBLE experience. Our waiter Walker went through everything on the menu with full detail. Everything we had was incredible-from the pickle martini and challah to the chicken dish and cake. I cannot wait to be back this is now my favorite restaurant in New York!”
“Had the best time today at the original owners Johns deli , amazing food & amazing customer service ,definitely will be going back real soon , I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a back in the day atmosphere & food , will be back real soon .”
“I wish I could rate this a 4 1/2. This salad was extremely delicious, the amount of dressing was the exact right amount which is EXTREMELY rare, the ingredient ratios were perfect -- my only complaint is the lack of avocado, which I would have let go if I hadn't paid extra for it. Not really enough to deduct a WHOLE point imho, but I can't give my order a 5/5 either.”
“Oh em gee! Pasta is on point. It’s amazing how quick, delicious and friendly this place is. Massively impressed since lots of Italian joints don’t have the same quality, service or as casual. 5 stars across the board. Forma is super consistent. Love it. Super benne!!!”
