“Once upon a time classica was classic pizza good pizza for everyone to enjoy but thar has changed along with the times of the pandemic. Made its way downhill. Would not recommend this place to anyone for any occasion go to Rosa down the road or mini italia. Pizza was cold and unenjoyable. Off my list of pizza places.“

“One of our favorite places when my daughter was still living in New York. I haven't been back for quite some time and decided to have lunch this past Saturday. The menu had changed. So, I decided to try the Burnt End BBQ Pizza, based on the picture and my server's recommendation, and a Tropical Mule. The drink was so refreshing and paired perfectly with the pizza. I ordered the thin crust, but I can imagine the original crust must be even more satisfying. The meat was so tender and the pickled onions gave just the right amount of tang. You can ask not to have cilantro if you prefer. It's a personal choice. I highly recommend this pizza. It won't disappoint.

Almost forgot to mention how warm and fresh the bread was and the oil dip delicious.

“We used to frequent the Astoria location which was always so great. The new Manhattan location is no different. Somewhat smaller, but just very cozy and very nice looking. Amazing food as always. The flavors and taste are just the best. No matter what you order you will not go wrong. The service is top notch and Rocco and his staff are just the best at what they do. “Happened by this place while exploring SOHO. The service was great, we moved from the bar to a table to get a little more comfortable and the staff were really accommodating of that. We ordered the cheeseburger and a French Dip and a side fries. Both were amazing. The cheese was pouring off the burger in the most delicious way. The roast beef and baguette for the French Dip were exceptional quality and flavor. The fries were seasoned with garlic oil. Both dishes came with absolutely delicious pickle chips. We would definitely go back the next time we're in the area.“

The charcoal grilled lamb skewers and juicy beef kebabs were extraordinarily flavorful, while savory meat somsa, hot dumplings, fluffy rice plov, and fresh flatbread hit the spot completely. “We happen to walk by and heard the band. Then saw the sign for Shaved Ice. Totally unplanned but it drew us in! And what a beautiful establishment! We enjoyed a strawberry shaved ice while listening to a live jazz band. Such a memorable NYC experience! Cool Japanese art and decor, everyone working there was so nice and welcoming. “One of the most consistent restaurants in NYC. Not only a large menu with a lot of variety, but also a really great vibe inside. It's super easy to get tables, partly because the footprint of the restaurant is so large. They also have great specials, so I'd ask about those and seriously consider them even if they're on the pricier side. They have this crab toast that is really, really good. The only thing I'd avoid is the pasta. I just don't think it's worth it versus a lot of the other amazing dishes on the menu.“

“We made a large group reservation here for our post wedding celebration. The space was enough for 25 people and reservation process very streamlined.

On the day of, the weather created some problems and caused reduced seating despite the reservations. It could have been a frustrating experience, but the staff handled the chaos with professionalism and care.

We already loved Lavender Lake for the awesome food and drinks (best breakfast burritos in town btw) but now we respect the space even more after the experience.“

We came on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was pretty busy, but the service was still warm, attentive, and friendly.
