“Out of this world creative Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect setting for friend, couples, and families. With a diverse bar selection you can find amazing mixed drinks and local brewed beers on tap. From Fermented Dosa to Lamb Chapli Kebab the starters are brilliant. As you make your way to the main courses the Sea Bream Ssam is so tasty, if you’re in the mood go for the seared prawns or maybe even the Mushroom Uttapam. To finish off the night they have a nice selection of desserts like cashew baklava or the ganache cake is amazing with warm chocolate sauce, rose ice cream, and cardamom salt. To top off the experience the staff are warm welcoming and very kind! Come on by, right on 7th Avenue in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn NY!“
“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“Came here for a birthday dinner and absolutely loved it! Because we had a large group we did the pre-fixe menu and it comes with a tonnnn of food, all amazing! I wish I had taken more pictures but standouts include the cold sesame noodles, popcorn chicken, and lettuce wraps among others. The service was excellent and their drink selection is quite good! I wish I had tried some of the cocktails but I was also perfectly content with my glasses of orange wine. I would love to come back again and try out other items on the menu!“
“Needed a spot for some tea time with a friend. We decided on Gertrude’s. What an experience. The house cocktails were on point. The music….nostalgic. Our server (Kazz) was so fun and attentive. Our whole experience was phenomenal. All of the staff made sure we were enjoying our time. The food was off the hook. Highly recommend the Trout. For sure new favorite neighborhood spot!!!“
“I was in NYC for a short visit and was able to find this treasure bar. It has unique Manhattan cocktails like French and Indian Manhattan. The owners are very knowledgeable and great people. Indian shrimp cocktails is delicious. Highly recommended to visit and enjoy the experience.“
“Incredibly beautiful place, the girl who served our table, Victoria, was incredibly kind! service at the highest level! Thank you very much! The food is very good. We are delighted Never красивое место, Девушка, обслуживающая наш стол, Виктор ия, была neveroбро добра! Service is available! Большое спасибо! Еда очень хорошая. Мы в восторге There is no more beautiful place in Emmons! A wonderful place! It's such an incredibly beautiful place, the atmosphere is wonderful, the food is wonderful, the service is top 10. The lady who looked after our table, Viktoria, was incredibly kind and polite, I enjoyed it so much! I recommend it to everyone. Thank you very much! We came for the first time and loved it. There is no other place in the Turkish Delights category that you can go to in Emmons! ❤️❤️❤️“
“Went here on a Saturday late night. It was crowded but we managed to get a seat in the back for two. Cozy and warm ambiance. Their cocktail was veryshort but very well priced. Helps with any indécision.I ordered the Gin lizzy which came out pretty strong. Like a sweet Manhattan. Something with the mix of ingredients the vanilla & almond syrup, passionfruit, lemon & bitters gave it an aftertaste that I can't quite pinpoint. However, I did enjoy my husband's drink the Watermelon Drugstore made with Ojo de tigre mezcal, watermelon, honey ginger syrup and lemon. Also enjoyed their version of a spicy margarita composed of espolon, lime, agave, contreau.I'm glad to be adding a new bar to my roster. And the prices here make them very appealing. Will return to try out the food menu.“
“loved the food be sure to make reservations since the line gets long for waitlist i tried to make a review earlier but yelp prevented me so i lost the pics saved to the drafts. personally feel we should be able to post food reviews regardless anyways i got the yogurt marinated lamb with a bed of rice for 2 people but in reality it was for 4 ppl huge portions and i loved it ambiance is nice can get crowded since the min sometimes waits inside and they need a better system. overall i'll come back here really good eats“
“Just visited with my family of four, and we loved it. There was food for everyone to enjoy, and the food was delicious. We ordered different things to share, so we could try more things. You have to order a Khatchapuri! It's a must! We had Aragvi salad- absolutely delicious! The kids chose crepes with meat and kginkali, both finished to the last crumb! We had egplant rolls , pirk mtsvadi and potatoes with mushrooms to share, everything was so good! We all were full and very satisfied. The waiters check in, making sure everything is good and super nice. To add on all of that the place was beautiful and so pleasant. Me and my family highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Fantastic food and phenomenal service! It felt so cozy in there, like you weren’t in the hustle and bustle of New York City! We had a meat & cheese platter, two salads and a cacio e pepe and everything was incredible! And it was all very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to come back - and can’t wait to tell friends and family about this gem! 10000/10 recommend“
“I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. One of the best coffee concepts I've come across in a while. The coffee is incredible, and their setup is top-notch. It's now my go-to coffee place. Their Fredo Coffee tastes just like it does back in Greece.“
“Nice place, on the corner of a building.I took 4 chicken meatballs with polenta, which I found good, but would have been better if they had been a little more generous with the tomato sauce.Good service although perhaps a little slow (except when it came to bringing us the bill...?).Final price for two (a one liter bottle of San Pellegrino water plus two dishes like the ones I described, namely 4 meatballs and polenta as in the photo) 66 dollars, tip included. For honest New York.“
“An Excellent Turkish Restaurant in NYC !!!I was in New York City for a business trip last week and by searching for a Turkish place in Midtown I came across Akdeniz. I was met with true Turkish hospitality, everyone was very nice. I had the Iskender Kebab which tasted as if I was in Istanbul. It was very fresh and tasty. The babaghannous was nicely made you could taste the fresh roasted eggplant, as good as the best in Turkey. It was such a great experience that two days later I went back for lunch and had the Adana Kebab which was one of the best Ive had in the States. I highly recommend Akdeniz!!!“
“simple and fresh! not the most flavorful tacos i’ve ever had, but on the flip side i really appreciated the lower salt content and lack of grease. this is a great homestyle option you could eat regularly and still enjoy every time as much as the last.my one critique is that the beef definitely needed the lime and sauce to make up for being on the drier side.i’ll be coming back!“
“This place is a pretty decently priced handmade pasta place. The texture of the pasta was a quite excellent al dente, which I enjoyed. The gnocchi was really soft and I liked the sauce that came with the Monday gnocchi special. The sausage pasta had a great texture but didn’t have much sausage and was a bit underflavored. The mushroom fettuccine had a better flavor but also could’ve had more flavor. Kale salad was alright; good as a $3 add on to pasta. Arancini was pretty crunchy but not sure if worth the price.Cramped sitting area but we managed to find a table for 5. Overall, reasonable pricing, good pasta texture but flavor was lacking.“
“Joe and Sal’s Pizza is truly the best. Alessandro exudes the utmost kindness and friendliness everytime I come in the store. The pies are fresh and beyond delicious and the variations of options are endless. This is my favorite pizza in nyc for so many reasons!!!!!“
“Really great atmosphere except tables are really too close to each other.I had the veg ramen and it was really delicious. The broth flavor was really delicious.I kinda wish there was tofu instead of vegan protein because it was crumbled and just fell into the broth so it wasn’t really filling but tasty. And the cabbage was like the hard ends of the cabbage; I didn’t enjoy. But overall really yummy. And I was going to get the regular matcha shaved ice but it was huge so the waitstaff said they had a few of the little ones from restaurant week left over and those had non-dairy ice cream underneath. It was delicious! I’d go back and get some more of that matcha ice for sure!!Vegetarian options: There is one vegan ramen.“
“casual vibe, with much more than casual flavor. the taste of the wok's fire truly comes through. good doses of fish sauce in the noodles. Thai food has become as ubiquitous as Chinese, and you get used to generic and uninspired restaurants. but this is in the top 1% of Thai places in the area. very impressed. service was also very friendly“
“Great addition to the UES. Excellent food, try the prosuitto, fig and melon appetizer if they have it. The carpaccio was so good and the deserts! The wait staff was very attentive and refilled our water glasses often. The owner was lovely and sweet. I will be back with my family soon.“
“Walked in thinking it's an Irish bar, walked out having one of the best times ever at any bar. This is a gay bar on steroids but that's what makes it oh so better. I know what you straights are thinking, but this place is Uber welcoming of people from all walks of the road. Probably one of my most favorite random bars of all time. The food was great and priced even better. The staff was Uber friendly and the drinks were top notch. The crowd was the happiest and sweetest crowd of all time. Tbh not a single sour puss! Highly recommend this place for everyone and anyone! The music, the food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere... all so fun that honestly I kinda wish I was gay now lol. Give this place a shot, you won't regret it!“
“Fresh and delicious! I came here based on the Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a quick, no-hassle but relatively healthy meal in the city (and you'd like to sit down while eating it) this place is great!“
“Persepolis has been in our neighborhood for years but we never got there. It's a spacious but intimate-feeling restaurant with very attentive, friendly service and excellent (and abundant!) food. Also a range of very good variations on the mojito! The eggplant appetizers and, of course, kebabs are excellent. Very nice decor.“
“I came in a Sunday night and was disappointed when I was told many ingredients that I looked forward to were not available. Tyleah at the front, went out of their way to restock dressings from the back and ensure I left happy. Great customer service. Thank you!“
“Feeling at home, even if home is far away. This is the first emotion you feel when you are welcomed by the staff in this small, but big-hearted, restaurant in Manhattan.Enzo and Salvatore, the owners, are people of feeling, and it is precisely the latter that the delicious dishes offered on the menu arouse. The first evening I tasted an amazing Capricciosa pizza. Good like this, sometimes, not even in Naples! Very light. I am very sensitive to yeasts, because I am allergic to nickel, but the excellent leavening did not cause me any discomfort, other than the very strong desire to return the next day to taste other typical recipes of the Italian tradition. The next evening, in fact, I returned to taste the eggplant Parmigiana. Delicious... The sweet sauce, because the one made with real Italian tomatoes, was immediately appreciated, fascinating the palate...The meatballs (Salvatore was very keen to let me try them, and he did well!) seemed to have been made by my grandmother... So many memories... They moved me...I work in the Italian food & beverage sector, I understand if the products used are of good quality. These were excellent!A rating from 1 to 10?1000!Thank you, Enzo and Salvatore, for our new friendship, and for being an Italian excellence in NYC!“
“As someone with Celiac Disease, it's pretty hard to find good gluten free food, but Wild is 100% gluten free. It was very reassuring knowing I could order anything without restrictions, and on top of that, the food was incredible. I would definitely recommend visiting even if you don't have a gluten allergy.“
“Michelin recommended, saw my favorite chef post about their fermented tea leaf salad. If only I could have salads like these everyday: it was different with every bite. It had surprises the whole time we ate it. We also got the Burmese pancake and cassava cake — texturally so interesting too. Thank you so much to the staff as well ; you were so kind to us!“
“If you're searching for a culinary haven that combines traditional Italian flavors with a modern twist, look no further than this Pizzeria. Nestled in the heart of downtown, this gem of a pizza joint delivers a dining experience that's nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the inviting aroma of freshly baked dough and savory toppings. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and vibrant, making it ideal for intimate dinners or lively gatherings with friends and family.“
“Was a random order from this bakery. Let me tell you how proficient and easy this experience was . They suggested a Carrot Walnut cake . I needed a fast cake for my Hubhub’s birthday. The cake (Gluten Free) was out of this worldDeliscious. Beyond ! He loved it!You can’t go wrong !“
“Lovely addition to a neighborhood that has too many bland food options! The coconut kare came in a real coconut with actual coconut pieces, so delicious. The Thai tea cake was light and not too sweet with great flavor. Service was a little slow but they are new and figuring it out. Glad to see this place open!“
“I've walked by this spot hundreds of times but finally stopped in for a coffee and obligatory pastry. Everything looked so beautiful! I got an apricot tart, which was lovely. Excellent coffee. Great service. Will return for a bomboloni for sure!“
“Well, folks, gather 'round because I've got a tale that'll whisk you away to a land far, far from the daily grind. It all began on a day so unremarkable, it could've been any Tuesday from last year. My to-do list was longer than a grocery receipt for a family reunion, and let me tell ya, my spirits were about as high as a snake's belly in a wagon rut. Now, amidst the sea of sameness, something extraordinary happened. I stumbled upon a place called "Omar's," a Mediterranean cuisine oasis that promised an escape to the exotic lands of Egypt, right in the middle of my humdrum day.Stepping into "Omar's" was like finding a hidden door to another world. The place was decked out with such care and detail; it felt like I'd hitched a ride on a magic carpet. The seating, the decor, the ambiance—it all sang the song of the Nile, and let me tell you, I was ready to dance along. But the true magic of "Omar's" wasn't just in its design. Oh no, it was the food that had me spellbound. The chicken shawarma was like a love letter from the heavens, each bite a perfect harmony of spices and tenderness. The hummus? Creamier than a dream, and the falafel was so divine, I half-expected it to sprout wings and ascend right there and then. Now, I gotta be honest, the staff had about as much warmth as a snowman in January, but folks, I was there for the food, and the food did not disappoint. It was like finding water in the desert—precious and life-giving.And then there was Omar, the owner. The man was like a desert prince, charming and easy on the eyes, making rounds like he was welcoming you into his home. He had this way of making you feel like you were the only person in the room, a friend he'd known for years. It's not every day you find a place where the owner treats you like a long-lost buddy. So, if you're ever feeling like you need a break from the monotony, a taste of something truly special, head on over to "Omar's." Sure, the staff might not be the friendliest bunch, but when the food's that good, who's to complain? You're there for a culinary adventure, a taste of Egypt, and maybe, just maybe, to catch a glimpse of Omar, the friendliest face in the Mediterranean dining scene. Trust me, "Omar's" is a journey worth taking, no passport required.“
“I met Ari upon arrival into the Deli and was presently surprised by interaction. He was kind, considerate and very nice to meet. The food here is absolutely amazing. Both the staff and food are something you definitely do not want to miss out on. Next time you come to Brooklyn make sure to stop by John’s Deli!!“
“My fiance and I were visiting from Michigan and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant for lunch. The owner was our server. He was the nicest person! Beyond that, the food was incredible. 10/10. I wish I could go here everyday for lunch and dinner. Amazing experience.“
“We had a holiday dinner event..I decided to cater food from Los Amigos due to their reviews...how close it was from work. The food was Dedelicious... we all loved and enjoyed the rice... the chicken..wings... Empandas, everything was just delicious!I place we look forward to going on our lunch break now as well!!Thank you for such delicious food!“
“We usually visit the location in NJ but while visiting the family, we tried this location. Service was good as well as food. Small issue ordering broccolirob and got broccoli. Shrimp soup was a bit bland. However, steak, pasta and avacado salad were delicious as always.“
“Do you need food fast? Do you need it delivered or can I go to the space and eat? This space covers all bases. The food is always fresh and hot, when they say the "spicy" they mean it! I have gone through all of the rice dishes, soups and now I'm in the Pad Thai! I prefer to dine in because the drinks are good and the service is always with a smile. Shouts to the crew! You do not want to pass this spot up For good consistent Thai!“
“What great service and fabulous food with generous servings. Great specials and appealing affordable wine list. Had a birthday dinner for four with perfect table up front. Cannot compliment the server enough -- she was attentive and provided great service with a very professional and pleasant attitude accommodating all our requests. The lasagna is my go to but my son loved his veal scaloppini too. Every- item was perfect. Thanks much Mariella!“
“Glad we found this place while searching for a lunch spot in Harlem. The service was super warm and friendly (¡gracias, Pablo!), and we can highly recommend the Lomo Saltado and the Arroz Chaufa Mariscos, which were both delicious. I've already bookmarked this place and will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu.“
“I like this spot! The service was great. The hostess and servers were really spot on. Give them a raise please!I had salmon that was perfectly cooked and quite delicious. I had garlic mashed potatoes that were VERY flavorful and tasty. I had carrots that were pretty under cooked and inedible.“
“FAB vegan food. Having been a vegan chef for over 20 years, I am rarely impressed with a dish of pasta. These were so tasty and everything you want in Italian food. Really good service. Bruschetta was excellent. Seitan Parmesan was super tasty. The carafe of wine was also a great basic wine. The chablis was also a good wine. We are sooo looking forward to going back. Totally recommend.“
“Great happy hour, beautiful decor, yummy small plates, friendly service. If ONLY they didn’t pump this musky woody cologne scent into the air. I still smell it in my hair from last night and I can’t escape it. Would have given five stars if not for the smell.“
“Excellent food, excellent service!! Was constantly given suggestions when they found out it was our first time and everything suggested was spot on!! I just wish there was more space for them to have people dine in than just the five stools, but Bryant Park is a few blocks down, so if it’s a nice day, take a walk!!“
“The food here is delicious. Autumn was an amazing employee. She made sure I had everything I needed, got my entire order right, and was kind. I am so happy with my experience with her and i’m so excited to come again! She’s the best employee there!“
“Slightly hard to write this review as I arrived a bit late to the meal. I went here months upon months ago. Not knowing that this was part of Dun Huang, I thought I went to the wrong restaurant but it turned out it was one and the same which was surprising. I was here with a group of nine others. As I arrived a bit late, the soup dumplings had already been there a while but they were still of very good quality. My favorite of the night was the Salted Egg Yolk & Shrimp Stir-Fried Rice Cakes. The texture of the rice cakes were perfect and the egg yolk complimented it well. I also liked the Dry Fried Shredded Eel & Chives. I also would have preferred them less shredded as I couldn't taste much of the eel texture but the sauce was nice and the blend with the chives added some good depth. The Fried Dough Twist Spicy Chicken or Laziji with Mahua was also surprisingly spicy for a restaurant which is primarily Shanghainese now so I guess they still have some influence from the old Dun Huang. I've had it before with these dough twists from the excellent Peppercorn Station and these rivaled that place even though the chicken there was a bit pricier but then again there was larger pieces of chicken in the latter. The Fish Fillets in Sour Cabbage Soup was also pretty solid as well as the Grilled Lamb Kebabs. You can essentially see Andie's review for the rest of my thoughts as they essentially reiterate hers. Yes it was too hot inside and as I was rushing to get there, I got warmer than most but oh well. Would go back but maybe go during the fall or winter if the AC isn't fixed yet. Mid 4“
“Nocciola is such a great restaurant! We live in the neighborhood and we never thought we would find this gem in the area. The food never disappoints and the servers and manager are always very attentive and accommodating. My bf and I choose a different plate when we go and have worked our way through the entire menu. Seriously, do yourself a favor and go so you can enjoy this family owned restaurant and see exactly why they have been around for a decade. You will not be disappointed. It’s our favorite date night local spot.“
“Best Caesar Salad l have ever had! A friend and I stopped in for a late lunch in early January 2024. I added shrimp to my salad, and my friend had the rich, delicious, comfort pasta, Rigatoni Sausage Ragu. Outstanding service too. Will seek out L’Osteria on my next trip to NY.“
“I’m not vegan but I love this place. It’s one of my favorite lunch spots in this area. Portions are great, food is fresh, service is friendly, and the vibes are immaculate. Word of warning: the vegan jerk chicken is super spicy (in the best way).“
“I visited this spot for the first time yesterday 3/7/2024 and was blown away by the fresh and delicious food I ordered and received. I had the jerk chicken bowl, tuna wrap and to top it off, a green leaf juice. Each item was very well portioned and made with fresh ingredients. The ambience was welcoming with the most friendly staff. Green Leaf Bistro was definitely needed in the Liberty, Queens area adding value to healthy eating. My new go-to spot from now on!Highly recommended!“
“Great restaurant, the food is amazing, the staff are both helpful and very nice. One of the few restaurants, I feel comfortable eating at as a celiac with a High sensitivity to gluten. I have never had cross contamination issues Here, and their fryers are fully gluten-free.I highly recommend this restaurant to people on gluten-free or vegan diets, or if you want really good foodDietary restrictions: Kosher, gluten-free, and vegan“
“They have the best pickle chips in the area! The atmosphere and vibes are great everytime and Alphonso took great care of us.Vegetarian options: The kind of burger place where any option you'd like can be made vegan. Very accommodating menu!“
