“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“
“Came here for a birthday dinner and absolutely loved it! Because we had a large group we did the pre-fixe menu and it comes with a tonnnn of food, all amazing! I wish I had taken more pictures but standouts include the cold sesame noodles, popcorn chicken, and lettuce wraps among others. The service was excellent and their drink selection is quite good! I wish I had tried some of the cocktails but I was also perfectly content with my glasses of orange wine. I would love to come back again and try out other items on the menu!“
“Ordered the spicy salmon ramen and takoyaki. The ramen was really good with a rich broth but it wasn't spicy at all and started to taste a bit salty at the end. I wouldn't recommend the takoyaki because the portions are very small with a single piece of octopus in it for 10 dollars. Otherwise a great experience! + the servers were super nice“
“A warm local Georgian place which is owned by a super friendly and easy going owner with a simple but cute decor. The service is also great with the owner happy to recommend the dishes.I wanted to tick off the traditional Georgian dish, Adjaruli Khachapuri. It's basically a bread boat filled with cheese and raw egg yolk. It's a baked dish and is best eaten when hot. One needs to mix the raw egg yolk properly within the cheese and then devour it. The bread was easy to break with crisp sides while the cheese was really creamy and smooth. It basically felt like a better version of NYC cheese pizza minus the marinara, and I would happily choose this one over pizza! The dish is simple, filling and soul satisfying which made me love it. The prices too are pretty decent compared to the neighborhood they are located in.Overall an amazing experience with Georgian food, would definitely come back to try their Khinkali (dumplings) next time!“

“This was the best Mexican I've had in Park Slope. I had the chicken and my girlfriend had the steak. Both meals were delicious, but I'd say the chicken was the best chicken I've had in years, hands down. Juicy with crispy skin and delicious sauce. The service was slow (took 40+ minutes to receive our food after ordering), but that's probably because we didn't get drinks or apps. Both looked great, but not for us. The vibe is a little loud, but great decor with very pleasant energy. Looking forward to bringing my parents here when they visit next time.“

Something with the mix of ingredients the vanilla & almond syrup, passionfruit, lemon & bitters gave it an aftertaste that I can't quite pinpoint.However, I did enjoy my husband's drink the Watermelon Drugstore made with Ojo de tigre mezcal, watermelon, honey ginger syrup and lemon. Also enjoyed their version of a spicy margarita composed of espolon, lime, agave, contreau.I'm glad to be adding a new bar to my roster. And the prices here make them very appealing. “Just visited with my family of four, and we loved it. There was food for everyone to enjoy, and the food was delicious.We ordered different things to share, so we could try more things. You have to order a Khatchapuri! It's a must! We had Aragvi salad- absolutely delicious! The kids chose crepes with meat and kginkali, both finished to the last crumb! We had egplant rolls , pirk mtsvadi and potatoes with mushrooms to share, everything was so good! We all were full and very satisfied. “My favorite ramen joint in New York! Go here on a jazz night if you can, because the ambience with the artists is even more incredible. This is my 3rd time here, and while everything is great, I’d specifically recommend: spicy ramen, spicy tsukemen, oysters mp, and mango kakigori. Between the freshly made noodles and flavorful broths, all of the noodle dishes are the perfect cozy meal. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters, which came with a yuzu mint vinaigrette that added a bright vibrancy to each oyster. Don’t shy away from getting dessert the end! The shaved ice is a great way to end on a refreshing note without feeling bogged down by sugar. Note that this place fills up quick, so reserve in advance or come early to beat the wait. Initially I was told I could only order food to go because someone was having a private party and they were prepping but then the man behind the counter walked me through the menu. He then suggested I have a seat and could eat in if I wanted. I chose to dine in and the food was fabulous. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“
“An Excellent Turkish Restaurant in NYC !!!I was in New York City for a business trip last week and by searching for a Turkish place in Midtown I came across Akdeniz. I was met with true Turkish hospitality, everyone was very nice. I had the Iskender Kebab which tasted as if I was in Istanbul. It was very fresh and tasty. The babaghannous was nicely made you could taste the fresh roasted eggplant, as good as the best in Turkey. It was such a great experience that two days later I went back for lunch and had the Adana Kebab which was one of the best Ive had in the States. I highly recommend Akdeniz!!!“

The gnocchi was really soft and I liked the sauce that came with the Monday gnocchi special. The sausage pasta had a great texture but didn’t have much sausage and was a bit underflavored. The mushroom fettuccine had a better flavor but also could’ve had more flavor. Kale salad was alright; good as a $3 add on to pasta. Arancini was pretty crunchy but not sure if worth the price.Cramped sitting area but we managed to find a table for 5. Overall, reasonable pricing, good pasta texture but flavor was lacking.“

Feijoada do Chef for Two - feeds more than two - loved it so much. 2. Chicken Stroganoff - I was not expecting it but this was creamy and tasty and out of this world. I wanted to lick the plate. 3. Ropa Vieja - my daughter (a connoisseur of ropa vieja) said it's better than her grandmother's. 4. Picanha Grelhada no Alho - cooked perfectly. I have worked for a long time at the Hirohisa Restaurant in Soho, which has had a Michelin star since 2017 and I found the Peruvian food excellent. (I am Peruvian). I recommend it. “First off, this is probably the best Italian restaurant in NYC. For me, the mark of a good Italian restaurant is their cheese and tomatoes. So when the complimentary, and perfectly cooked, bread came to the table I asked for a side of cheese. I tasted it plain and could tell immediately that it was DOP. (Those who know what that means, understand my meaning.)I then proceeded to have the carbonara. Many restaurants (even those who claim they are Italian) in the US make this dish with cream…and that’s totally wrong. The magic of this dish is the perfect amount of pasta water and cheese that is added to the pasta and then vigorously mixed until it becomes creamy. And the egg must be tempered, or else you end up with scrambled eggs. And guess what…this restaurant knows how to do it perfectly.For dessert I had their bread pudding…another classic Italian dessert that if done correctly, is delicious and if done incorrectly is just a pile of blah. The chef here, once again, outdid himself. It was so buttery and the ratio of raisins to bread was perfect. Plus the hint of Sambuca just put this over the top.I can confidently say that I will be back, and can’t wait to order one of everything over the course of my upcoming many visits. As I went into the bathroom to wash my hands before receiving my food, the employee came in after me to tidy up the restroom , what she didn’t do was remove her gloves before going back into the dinner room to clean tables . Hand washing is essential before leaving the restroom especially for employees.“
