While I did prefer to sit in the back, it was not very nice or professional of him to just say our table was in the back just because his regulars refused to move out our reserved table. “One of our favorite places when my daughter was still living in New York. I haven't been back for quite some time and decided to have lunch this past Saturday. The menu had changed. So, I decided to try the Burnt End BBQ Pizza, based on the picture and my server's recommendation, and a Tropical Mule. The drink was so refreshing and paired perfectly with the pizza. I ordered the thin crust, but I can imagine the original crust must be even more satisfying. The meat was so tender and the pickled onions gave just the right amount of tang. You can ask not to have cilantro if you prefer. It's a personal choice. I highly recommend this pizza. It won't disappoint.

Almost forgot to mention how warm and fresh the bread was and the oil dip delicious.

“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

The food is Ethiopian vegan. No vegan smoothies or mock duck pad Thai but primarily Ethiopian based plant foods. It was something I was interested in trying and they do it well here. No complaints with the food. Be advised though that the food is light so don't expect to walk away with a bloated heavy stomach.

You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite!
