“It's just a great neighborhood burger and beer joint. Solid lunch specials and the servers/bartenders are always friendly. They even have stand up nights and bingo parties which are a blast; the republican rallies not so much kinda wish they'd keep it neutral as we really dont need politics with our beers.“

Even eating it today, it brings back memories of when my mom would take me and my siblings to eat there for dinner. At the time, they would close much later than they do now. Thankfully, I'm already walking home by 2 pm, and since I live close by, the delivery was nice and fast. The food is always delicious, generously well priced, and the customer service is always really nice. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger that came with fries, along with an extra side of onion rings. That came up to $20 on the dot, and with the portions they serve, I was more than happy with that price. I have, and I will continue to go to this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.“

“On May 1, 2026, my family and I visited Atlas Park to see The Devil Wears Prada 2, and afterward we stopped by California Pizza Kitchen for dinner—and I’m so glad we did!
From start to finish, the experience was amazing. Our server, Jen, was an absolute standout. She brought such great energy to the table—super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcomed the entire time. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced customer service like that at a restaurant.
And the food? Delicious across the board. Everyone at the table truly enjoyed their meals—no complaints, just great flavors and quality dishes.
Before leaving, I even asked to speak with the manager, Justin, to make sure he knew how exceptional Jen was. She’s a true asset—definitely deserving of recognition, praise, and more!

Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“

“Ramro was excellent! We had the duck and pork momos, beef longanisa, skate, duck, gnocchi and saag paneer. When it came to dessert, my son asked “can we get another skate?” Flavors were balanced and full and the skate, beef longanisa and momos were the favorites for us. It is very cozy and homey and the service felt like family. Oh, and my watermelon cocktail was excellent too. We are so excited about Ramro being so close and in the neighborhood; this will be our new family favorite.“

“Margie’s is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor of the Rockaway Hotel. It’s very nostalgic to locals as it was built where the Rockaway staple known as Gallagher, Snug Harbor and Daltons once stood before the beautiful hotel was built. Margie’s serves up some great food including an excellent variety of prime steak cuts. Their cocktails are excellent and one must taste their staple Irish Coffee which is fantastic. Margie’s and the entire Rockaway Hotel have always been an amazing experience.“

I moved here from Texas a year ago and love everything about the city (except for the rent), but I do miss Tex Mex and good tortillas. New Mexican is its own cuisine and sure hits the spot while also being healthier, and those tortillas are a game changer. So glad to have found this place, just had breakfast from here, and am already looking forward to going back.“

For starters, I highly recommend the lobster orzo and grilled prawns. As for mains, the burger, hanger steak, and butternut squash risotto were all outstanding. The cocktails were equally delicious.

The ambiance is great, though it does get a bit noisy, and the place was completely full. Service was attentive and seamless throughout. Dare I say I’ve found a new neighborhood favorite? It was that good.“

The server came to our table not to long after we were seated and took our drink orders. We ordered beers, coffees and Bloody Marys ,which were the star of the show. As for food we ordered the chicken Caesar sandwhich, quiche, chicken liver pate, gigante beans, pancakes and chips with aioli. The star of the show was the chicken liver pate, it had a great rich savory flavor with a hint of sweetness and was served on a nice soft piece of sourdough. The Scottie Pippen of the food order had to be the pancakes, they were savory and sweet with a hint of lemon. The only weak link of the bunch was the under seasoned gignate beans, which had an off day. Would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a brunch spot in WB or Greenpoint.“

Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. “Holy cow! We just had the Restaurant Week Bento Box lunch from 232 Bleecker and it was just out of this world. Hands down the best meal we've had since the pandemic started. The way Chef Cupps teases the flavor out of vegetables and meats is just astounding. We are in heaven! We also ordered from 232 Bleecker on Christmas Eve, and the food was once again incredible. We are huge fans of Chef Cupps. She previously cooked at UnTitled at the Whitney which was our favorite restaurant in NYC. We are so glad that she and Nick and the rest of her beautiful staff are doing so well.“
