Local Gowanus sports bar punches well above its weight with chefy dishes for deli prices. Pre fix menu was only 30$! When I walked in and saw hockey players smashing into each other, I did not expect smoked salmon cured in beet juice or pea purée under trout with crispy skin. Every time I go here, I’m truly shocked by how good the food is. Some of the best burgers, Mac + cheese, Brussels sprouts, and pretzels in a city with lots of those things—and in a totally unpretentious atmosphere.

Good beer selection and comfort food. The room is large and well spaced. In addition to a well curated beer selection, the cocktails are above average. The menu has an European influence. We enjoyed the Spaetzle and Taphouse Burger. The service was adequate.
