“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!“

Loved this local bar — the vibe was friendly, open, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The bartender was attentive, prices were decent, and the space was clean with a nice mix of high tables in the back and low tables up front. A handful of locals were gathered around the bar, which added to the charm.

We were really glad to find this spot especially when it started raining on the beach. It was a rainy Friday midday, not busy at all, and we genuinely enjoyed ourselves.

Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink. Looking forward to coming back whenever we’re in the neighborhood!“

“The food is amazing! We had the mussels, Brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, chicken, shepherd’s pie, fish sandwich, and burger. The drinks were wonderful and the ambiance was so much fun. Really had a laugh at the bathroom with all the googly eyes.“

“We made a large group reservation here for our post wedding celebration. The space was enough for 25 people and reservation process very streamlined.

On the day of, the weather created some problems and caused reduced seating despite the reservations. It could have been a frustrating experience, but the staff handled the chaos with professionalism and care.

We already loved Lavender Lake for the awesome food and drinks (best breakfast burritos in town btw) but now we respect the space even more after the experience.“

“Union Hall is one of the best venues we have ever performed at. Not only is it a fun and charming place, the staff are super hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. From planning to execution, Nora and Neel were very courteous and helpful. On the day of, Erin, Neel, and even the security guard Danny let us in an hour before our contract stated and helped us get set up early. Nothing but compliments and recommendations for these guys!“

“Came in with a friend who used to be a local. He had set the bar high but I had an even better time than I thought I would. Was packed but didn’t seem crowded, clean, good seating and the overall setup is really cool. Then I realized there was an entire back room- we posted up on the high top booth for hours and had a great time. If I was local I would absolutely live here.“

“Great chill spot with chill bartenders and other patrons. Single cash payment pool table is amazing. Two fun old school game machines. Always cool and never hot inside during these summer days. Today is almost 90 degrees and it's nice inside of Denny's! One large big screen TV's on the opposite side of the bar and two medium sized TV's facing the bar which are all great and perfectly placed. Cool dart board game available as well. Atm machine that always comes in clutch for me as this is a cash only bar which is my preferred method of payment anyways at bars. In addition to the great atmosphere they sell delicious pretzels, pizz, a great selection of beer with the Lagunitas IPA in a chilled glass from a perfectly temperatured tap as my go to and a great liquor selection. Bringing outside food is very welcomed as well.“

“Wu Lou Lounge is one of those spots that feels a little sketchy when you first pull up, but that’s part of the charm. It’s old school, unpretentious and very much its own vibe.

Security is thorough and effective. Be prepared for a full pat down and bag check, even at 5pm for happy hour. They take it seriously. The staff is cool in that classic NYC way. Not Southern hospitality sweet, but warm, direct and welcoming.

The food is fresh, tasty, piping hot and highly affordable, $.60cent wings on Tuesday. Definitely a strong point. Drinks come in smaller cups, but they start at $5, which is unheard of these days. It’s also one of the last remaining spots that still allows indoor smoking, if that’s your thing.

The music is solid and keeps the energy up. The crowd is fun, outgoing, and far from stiff or bougie. This is not a fancy baller lounge, so dress and move accordingly. You don’t need anything shiny or expensive to have a good time here (wink wink leave the bling & mink coat home). Just come ready to enjoy yourself.

If you’re looking for polished and upscale, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for authentic, affordable and a good time with personality, Wu Lou delivers. This is classic Brooklyn, before gentrification and redevelopment.“

“My first time watching sports at a bar and I’m so glad I did. I had so much fun. I also can appreciate a mainstream bar playing women sports on 2 tvs. Every other screen had football but I get it. The bartender Kai was so sweet and attentive. Think I’ll definitely comeback again before the semi finals are over. I had the fries and an order of wings which somehow I dropped on my brand new liberty hoodie Kai was nice enough to give me a paper towel with club soda. Crowded enough but not excessive.“

“(Nov 2014) Uber cool high tech mod fitout and no shortage of opinionated beer nerds (complete with obligatory cult brewery t-shirts). Even at 2pm on a Sunday arvo. Doesn’t quite have the warm of a traditional US bar but still pretty friendly. Very international list with a focus on left of centre. Pricing on the high side but reflects the quality of the beers. Served via cabernet glasses - a nice touch. I really grew to like the place and they use a small space well. Can I say it reminds me of Two Row in Melbourne? And....btw....the only other bar I have ever seen where punters are punching out tasting notes!“

“I am so glad that I went with my sister there. They have what i needed and the prices were fair. The young man that helped me took his time, and he even called a customer who had the same machine. the customer explained that I should not use the item that i was going to purchase, because it would not work in my machine. They both directed me the another product in the store at a lower price. That is customer service. Went there on February 28, 2026. I will be returning this Saturday to pick up more of my new items plus more. The prices were excellent and I was able to find items that I could not find in Restaurant Depot or on line.“

“My buddy and I got the Munchie box for $40. It comes with 2 burgers; you can mix and match either the All American 1/2 lb beef burger ($16) or the Chicken Club ($18), plus 2 orders of fries and 6 pieces of chicken (3 drums and 3 wings) plus dipping sauce. Good deal and you save money getting this as opposed to ordering separately.

The burger doesn’t come with any type of house sauce and my buddy still said it was 9/10. Great char, very juicy and flavorful. I got the chicken club and this thing is gigantic. I couldn’t get good pictures, but it comes with 2 pieces of chicken and the bacon aioli is perfect. The fries are some of the best I’ve had. You can order fries separately for $8 and you get a big basket. We both agreed the wings and drums were just okay.“

“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. “Saint Eves Cocktail Bar is a great place to grab a drink, especially if you are looking for somewhere to stop before a movie at Nitehawk. We came here before our movie and really enjoyed the vibe. It has a fun atmosphere that makes it easy to hang out for a drink or two.

They have a large cocktail menu with plenty of options, although a few were definitely more of a hit than others. The drinks were good quality overall and priced pretty normally for the neighborhood, so you are not paying an outrageous premium just for being at a cocktail bar.

Nothing we ordered completely blew me away, but everything was solid and the atmosphere really made the experience. I would definitely come back before another movie or if I was already in the area looking for a casual drink. 🍸🎬“
