“Please please please stop coming here all of you folks who don’t care about the care that this place is bringing to you.Make a reservation.Respect the process. This place is gorgeous and is the reason we drink (or the reason drinking is joyful and not just a slow decline).Table side sazerac or martini. Enjoy. Live.TIP THE STAFF! They’re essentially making you a Disneyland level illusion. Not the space which is *chefs kiss* but the movement of the staff. Slow. Intentional. Well educated in past and current manners.Truly this place is special and will stay special if talk show up like you’re in booze church.Put on an outfit goddamnit. Flirt w the bartenders. “Been meaning to check this out for a while now and finally got to it, and now I’m kicking myself for not going earlier. Everyone’s right about the Mussels, they’re not to be missed. Burrata and Pork Shoulder Pasta were also a hit. Drinks are creative and tasty! This is definitely a restaurant where you’ll want to go back to try every item. Staff was very friendly, kitchen bar is a fun spot. Loved!“

“Came here on a Saturday night and it definitely has a cozy vibe with the dark wood and dim lighting; good spot for a date or hang with friends. Was able to be seated in the back and they were playing the fight on tv, which was nice, albeit makes it feel a little more casual.Kitchen was open till 11, which was great. The pastrami sandwich was delicious and the kale Caesar was good, but would say go for the sandwich/ burgers. Would definitely come back.“

“i ordered their prosciutto and burrata (which comes with imported burrata and 24 Month prosciutto di parma), tonnarelli cacio e pepe (pasta with pecorino and black pepper), and infernetto pinsa (roman style pizza with tomato, mozzarella, spicy soppressata, and pecorino). all in all, every dish was made with fine ingredients and was cooked well. the burrata was very creamy and delicious, i would recommend it if you’re a fan of burrata cheese. the pizza had a good coal fire taste to it and came out hot and flavorful (the spicy soppressata was tasty, but i would like to try some of their other flavors eventually). the cacio e pepe was tasty and had a strong pecorino flavor (creamy, rich, slight cheesy musk to it). the pasta had good texture and mouthfeel (firm al dente noodles). all in all a decent spot for italian!“

“WINNER IS A WINNER. Wow guys, this place deserves more love! Only 18 reviews (?!) (at the time I'm writing this) shocking. Are the sandwiches teetering on $20? Yes. Are they worth it? 100%! Firstly, the sandwich is HUGE. I definitely could only eat half so if you want to come and split a sammy with someone that's a smart way to approach this menu. I ordered the midnight club (a somewhat different take on a cubano sandwich) fried pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mojo dojonnase and pickled jalapeños on a hoagie. I also opted to try one of their sauces, the ramp ranch as well as a hibiscus Arnold Palmer. So, let's break this sandwich down: - the hoagie itself is a beautiful, fresh piece of bread. Perfectly toasted and crispy exterior but fluffy, buttery and bouncey middle. They also throw a glaze on the top that's adds such a nice touch to the bread. - fried pork: think of a dark and deep fried mozzarella stick but without the cheese. This pork is tender and full of flavor. I absolutely love the breaded coating on this fry. It's crispy and crumbly and so so good. - love the ham & Swiss classic combo. The portions of everything it perfect for almost every bite - the dijonnase sauce on the bottom soaks into the bread just enough and really pairs well with all the other toppings - the pickled jalapeños are also a perfect addition of acidity and pop of spice The sauce is expensive at $5 but I'm so glad I got it. It was a special ranch and I'm happy that they basically provide a bowl of it for the price I also really liked my hibiscus Arnold Palmer. Extremely refreshing and a nice light lunch drink option. Just sweet enough. The space itself is gorgeous. I was not sure what to expect based on the minimal pics online but they have some bar/ counter seating at the front and a decent sized dining section in the back completel with sky lights and a shuffleboard (I think that's what it's called?) for night use I believe. I think they shift from cafe into a bar at night. As another review mentioned, you order at the front counter and the provide you with a table number and you can sit down and eat. The bartender was very helpful with me choosing my sandwich and was super friendly. One of the staff also saw that I wasn't able to finish the second half of my sandwich and came and brought me a box and I didn't even have to ask. This truly is a neighborhood gem and I will absolutely be back to try more items on their menu. 4.8/5“

“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“

“Popped in with my partner after eating at Lilia and loved this spot. They had a great seasonal cocktail that came with a caramel stick that you infused into your hot drink! How clever and yummy. I thought this place was a dive bar, but it has more of a cocktail vibe and would be cute for catching up with friends or date night. Service was good. I definitely want to come back and try more items on the menu. They also have a few bites I need to come back and nibble on! 4/5“

“Great little Japanese inspired listening bar tucked in between two buildings in Brooklyn - the sound system was impressive and didn't disappoint, we were able to hold a conversation while still being able to hear all the details of the vinyl being played just a few feet away from us. I'll never be able to afford a Rolls Royce, but at least I can order it as a mixed drink here!“

“Came here for brunch with friends. We shared the breakfast gnocchi, the grilled cheese, the fried tofu, the shrimp burger, fried fingerlings, and beet salad. I also had a spicy margarita in honor of cinco de Mayo. Food came out pretty quickly. Mine, along with one of the group's, favorite was the shrimp burger. The fingerlings were a hit too. They were super busy on Sunday during peak brunch hours. Fortunately, we had a reservation. Lots of craft beer options. Two gender neutral restrooms.“

“The outside was bright and welcoming with sitting outside. It was quiet inside, I was there before 12pm. Inside was decorated with beautiful glass butterflies . The staff was fabulous, especially my sever Jorge. I ordered the chicken taco. The services was fast eventhough I only ordered 1 Taco. It was one of the fresh and delicious taco I have eaten. I was pressed for time and could not enjoy the atmosphere but will be going back. I definitely recommend this place for a quick bite or a full course meal. Enjoy..“

“The alcoholic pairing blew me away. The food, not so much. I can only recommend Restaurant Yuu if you love wine. For $180 you get to try 12 wine and sake with wildly distinct characters. Most of the bottles were priced above $85, with some being in the $250-300 range. Usually wine pairings are pretty bad value because only one or two stand out. The pairing here felt fully worth the money. Almost everything tasted amazing. Frankly, the drinks far outclassed the food in complexity of flavor and aroma. The food was much more about aesthetics than taste. Half of the food arrived lukewarm, perhaps from too much tweezer work. It was frustrating. Things were either not hot enough or not cold enough. There were glaring execution mistakes. It often felt like they were adding more and more components for quantity’s sake, but it did not translate to deeper flavors. The truly delicious dishes (asparagus, bread, sawara, squab, signature pithivier) were the ones with the simplest presentations that arrived piping hot. Though, looking back, the second half of the meal was really strong. It’s just that I sat through the first half hoping the food will get better at some point (which it did).In short, the drink pairing felt worth the $180, but it’s hard to justify $250 for the tasting menu when half the dishes were executed sloppily.“

“Cozy beer parlor on a quiet street corner with rotating taps of beer, sours, and ciders, delicious snacks and sandwiches, and friendly service. Summertime here is magical with cold beer and outdoor seatings. Great ambiance and perfect for chill hangouts.“
“Would call this a hidden gem - not too popular, but not dead. The vibes are right - they use a lot of small lamps to set the mood. There's a cool Japanese theme around the place. Lots of things to look at. Love the disco ball. The music is mellow with a bouncy beat (or at least the night I went). Listen to More Than A Woman by the BeeGees - and that was the music vibe. Food places are near by if you need a late night bite.“

“The only good bar in the entire neighborhood, and great overall. It's the oldest bar in NYC (aside from one in Wall St.) - You might recognize it from GoodFellas.Worth going out of your way for the history, and worth coming to just because. “Awesome waiter. He was really friendly. The food took a little longer than is usual maybe but they only have 1 oven and that's part of the charm. It's good pizza good calzones. The oven is hot. People are happy. It's a loud family vibe kinda place. I'd take my kid here if I had a kid. I feel like a kid would love this place.“
“I went to St. Mazie's jazz bar for my birthday. I really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere. We were placed really close to the band, which was great. The food was a bit average, but the music was worth it! The baby soda jazz band was playing and their style reminds me of guitar blues.“

“It’s such a pity, I really wanted to like this place but was let down for some reason.Ambience was great for casual dining, super hip decor, noises from tables reverberating around the small, cavern like inner room.Food was good as well. But it was so so slow. We wanted to order starters first, see how we feel before ordering mains. We were told it has to be all at once.Even though they took our orders from the start, we had to wait an hour for the mains to arrive (same for the table beside us). The service staff did come by and apologise twice, so I’m guessing the slow service is not usually the norm.“

“Had a great time enjoying dinner at Lohi Rooftop. Came to enjoy a late rooftop view as summer was dying down. The menu is limited but has tasty options. We ordered the double smash burger, the salad, and the chimichurri steak. The smash burger was the highlight for me. Lohi also doubles as an event space as well. Have been to a couple of parties here during the summer which were always a good time. Make sure to tip the Bartenders“

“Let me start off by saying, Fern is the best bartender I’ve ever had. His energy, and ability to interact with customers is next level. The atmosphere is amazing; very peaceful, but very active, and energetic, with a nice hue and great music choice. “I have had this bar on my radar since I saw multiple posts about this place on Instagram in the past. I came in for brunch, and I think this place is super cute, and I got such a great view of the water while dining outdoors. Owen was my server, and he was very friendly. The service getting my food and drink was a tad slow, which was understandable as I saw the restaurant was having a private event inside. They have a decent sized menu with reasonable prices, and the Meatlover Omelet I ordered tasted really good. They also make a great bloody mary as well. I was surprised that I didn't have an issue finding street parking in this area as they don't have a parking lot. Overall, I was happy with my first experience, and I will definitely stop in again the next time I drive to the Rockaways.“

I tried the sweet talk and the windward isle which both were delicious and on the strong side. Happy hour till 8 but doesn't include their speciality drinks. “Walked by this place a hundred times before finally coming in, but glad we did! Came for brunch this morning and the menu is a bit diverse. We had Mexican style molletes (beans and pico de gallo on toast with a fried egg on top) which was declious. And the mushroom and cheese omelette was honestly one of the best omelettes I’ve had. So soft and buttery. Also had a nice cocktail list but we just had coffee today. For a nice sit down brunch was decently priced at less than $30 a person. “We knew it was a gamble to do takeout, but wanted to try it anyway. The burger is decent, but no special sauce and the 8oz patty was in our view too large to be properly complimented by the ingredients, so recommend the 5oz for a more optimal taste compilation. The fries were tasteful but unfortunately soggy even though we had a 5 min transit time only, so can only give 4 stars for the takeout experience. Probably best to eat this on location (and support the staff!), and we will likely give this a second chance on prem“

Jamo burger, steak tid bits and the flat breads are awesome for entrees. Enjoy the frozen's during the summer months. 25 years in this business is nothing to sneeze at.
