“Listen, when I think of home, I think of the Blarney. There's nothing better than driving straight up to the Blarney, grabbing a few rounds with the fellas, and then driving home. The chicken parm is the greatest I've ever had (compliments to the chef!). Personally, having the chicken parm and a few mint chip shots is enough to turn my day from complete and utter misery, like usual, to a day full of happiness. Walking in and seeing the warm, welcoming, face of Uncle Tommy lets me leave my depression at the door until it comes back when I leave. I will never forget the countless days and nights I have spent kicking Coors Lights back at the Blarney. I love that other bartender, whose name I can't recall, but man does he have a rockin' stache.“

“Went last night for a little friend date. We were sat promptly at a nice two top by the front window. Our server, who was the most italian server I’ve had since Italy, described the specials perfectly. Everything sounded delicious and I wanted to hear him talk more. All the food was top notch. The mushroom pasta special was a bit pricey ($29 a little sticker shock) and could have used more of that mushroom flavor, however, the pasta ribbons were of a most excellent quality with a nice chew, so I was still satisfied. The best item of the night was the roasted cauliflower special with the piccata sauce. My only qualm was the server, though magnificent, described the dish as being accompanied by focaccia bread. Upon receiving the check I discovered the focaccia was a separate charge. Felt a slight sense of hoodwinked but no matter - it was delicious bread.Service is nice as relaxed in that very European way. It was nice to be given time and not felt rushed out. In fact, I requested the check, which often time a restaurant doesn’t afford you the pleasure of doing. Will be back for certain.“

“Wonderful experience all around. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive. It was very helpful when it came to suggesting pairings. The wine and cocktail list is great. The food was really excellent. I recommend the Amberjack and Hamachi collar. Dessert, we had the mezcal flan. 10s across the board.“

“I usually don’t step foot in Brooklyn but when you’re here, might as well try what is heavily recommended, and that came in the form of Ugly Baby! We were instantly welcomed and you’re treated to a cozy little place that is so colorful! It instantly cheered up my cold wet self since it was raining outside. The waiters were so patient with explaining the levels of spice, and so so sooo attentive with everything! The food was amazing, we had the Panang Nuer (Beef shank and cumin red curry) and the Gai Nor Mai Dong (Chicken thigh, pickled bamboo shoot, red curry) this was their fabulous winter menu! Endless amount of refillable rice, since I had a lot of them, was a must for all the meat we got in the Panang Nuer! Gluten free is also marked clearly on the menu with an asterisk. “Elsa is everything a happy cocktail sipper can ask for! whether you're going on a date or a group of friend, it's made to cater everyone! The drink menu is limitless! from hot toddy to cilantro infused tequila to classics old fashioned, I like the creative names, we had two drinks and both came out delicious, balanced and eye pleasing! there's plenty of seating for everyone, from booth seats that can seat up to 4 facing the bar, to the intimate 2 seaters in the back and a group by the back door, which also leads to garden seating i have yet to explore! with that being said, I will def coming back! just wish they have happy hour specials!“

“Came here on a Saturday night and it definitely has a cozy vibe with the dark wood and dim lighting; good spot for a date or hang with friends. Was able to be seated in the back and they were playing the fight on tv, which was nice, albeit makes it feel a little more casual.Kitchen was open till 11, which was great. The pastrami sandwich was delicious and the kale Caesar was good, but would say go for the sandwich/ burgers. Would definitely come back.“

“Just had dinner with my family. Can’t give a total restaurant review as I only had the cheeseburger and nyc tap water. But the cheeseburger might be the best in the whole country. I’ve haven’t been to every state but this cheeseburger was better than a Peter Lugers hamburger. Very nice staff“

Drink lineup is pretty good price point on point and the staff is so welcoming no pressure to order or to get going the place is lively and gets more interesting the later you stay. “WINNER IS A WINNER. Wow guys, this place deserves more love! Only 18 reviews (?!) (at the time I'm writing this) shocking. Are the sandwiches teetering on $20? Yes. Are they worth it? 100%! Firstly, the sandwich is HUGE. I definitely could only eat half so if you want to come and split a sammy with someone that's a smart way to approach this menu. I ordered the midnight club (a somewhat different take on a cubano sandwich) fried pork, ham, Swiss cheese, mojo dojonnase and pickled jalapeños on a hoagie. I also opted to try one of their sauces, the ramp ranch as well as a hibiscus Arnold Palmer. So, let's break this sandwich down: - the hoagie itself is a beautiful, fresh piece of bread. Perfectly toasted and crispy exterior but fluffy, buttery and bouncey middle. They also throw a glaze on the top that's adds such a nice touch to the bread. - fried pork: think of a dark and deep fried mozzarella stick but without the cheese. This pork is tender and full of flavor. I absolutely love the breaded coating on this fry. It's crispy and crumbly and so so good. - love the ham & Swiss classic combo. The portions of everything it perfect for almost every bite - the dijonnase sauce on the bottom soaks into the bread just enough and really pairs well with all the other toppings - the pickled jalapeños are also a perfect addition of acidity and pop of spice The sauce is expensive at $5 but I'm so glad I got it. It was a special ranch and I'm happy that they basically provide a bowl of it for the price I also really liked my hibiscus Arnold Palmer. Extremely refreshing and a nice light lunch drink option. Just sweet enough. The space itself is gorgeous. I was not sure what to expect based on the minimal pics online but they have some bar/ counter seating at the front and a decent sized dining section in the back completel with sky lights and a shuffleboard (I think that's what it's called?) for night use I believe. I think they shift from cafe into a bar at night. As another review mentioned, you order at the front counter and the provide you with a table number and you can sit down and eat. The bartender was very helpful with me choosing my sandwich and was super friendly. One of the staff also saw that I wasn't able to finish the second half of my sandwich and came and brought me a box and I didn't even have to ask. This truly is a neighborhood gem and I will absolutely be back to try more items on their menu. 4.8/5“

“We had a birthday table at Faun's and everyone had such an amazing time! The food was excellent and so was the service. Their amazing cocktails and wine selection went perfect with our meal. Great options for vegans as well (just let them know in advance).“

“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“

“Great little Japanese inspired listening bar tucked in between two buildings in Brooklyn - the sound system was impressive and didn't disappoint, we were able to hold a conversation while still being able to hear all the details of the vinyl being played just a few feet away from us. “The grilled fish is great and enough for two people. The grilled chicken was well seasoned and also good. I just didn't like that you can't select the specific parts you want in your order. It's chef's choice and I got my least favorite part-- the breast. It wasn't as flavorful as the thigh but at least it wasn't dry. The quiet star may be the grilled plantain, which I've never had before. It was so delicious!“

“Came here for brunch with friends. We shared the breakfast gnocchi, the grilled cheese, the fried tofu, the shrimp burger, fried fingerlings, and beet salad. I also had a spicy margarita in honor of cinco de Mayo. Food came out pretty quickly. Mine, along with one of the group's, favorite was the shrimp burger. The fingerlings were a hit too. They were super busy on Sunday during peak brunch hours. Fortunately, we had a reservation. Lots of craft beer options. Two gender neutral restrooms.“

“We chanced on Mazzat last night and we're happy to find a top-notch choice. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The place itself is cozy, much like a neighborhood bistro. The menu didn't seem all that impressive but when we saw all the specials there was a lot that we were interested in trying. In the end we shared a spinach pie to start, which came with a green salad that was enough to make us decide to cancel the Greek salad we were going to share afterwards. Then we shared a rack of lamb, five succulent chops with haricot verts amandine and delicious bulgur cooked with a mild tomato wash. For dessert one of us had the chocolate mousse cake and the other had baklava. All in all, it was a very satisfying meal.“

“The outside was bright and welcoming with sitting outside. It was quiet inside, I was there before 12pm. Inside was decorated with beautiful glass butterflies . The staff was fabulous, especially my sever Jorge. I ordered the chicken taco. The services was fast eventhough I only ordered 1 Taco. It was one of the fresh and delicious taco I have eaten. “The food here is so so good!! I'm still thinking about it days later. The 2 of us split a salad, mushroom pizza, and pasta & there was not a crumb left on the plate. Everything is super fresh and perfectly cooked & they have plenty of vegetarian friendly options. Service was speedy & I definitely recommend a reservation because it was packed on a Friday night. The restaurant is not too big so it did feel a little cramped but it was worth the squeeze for that meal. They also have some really great drinks.“

We enjoyed the mussels as a starter just to switch it up. It was a wonderful choice. Bread and sauce were delicious. We tried a number of their signature drinks including the pistachio which was unique and very good. The servers were helpful, personable, kind and of course my favorite- present without being overbearing. The short ribs were delectable with very tasty fries. The steak was perfectly cooked. “I have had this bar on my radar since I saw multiple posts about this place on Instagram in the past. I came in for brunch, and I think this place is super cute, and I got such a great view of the water while dining outdoors. Owen was my server, and he was very friendly. The service getting my food and drink was a tad slow, which was understandable as I saw the restaurant was having a private event inside. They have a decent sized menu with reasonable prices, and the Meatlover Omelet I ordered tasted really good. They also make a great bloody mary as well. I was surprised that I didn't have an issue finding street parking in this area as they don't have a parking lot. Overall, I was happy with my first experience, and I will definitely stop in again the next time I drive to the Rockaways.“

The vibes reminded me of a railroads style cozy apartment with a full kitchen and pizza oven. The hustle and bustle of the kitchen staff zooming by saying ‘corner’ just added the amusement. Perfect for dinner with small group of friends to catch up.The food was great. Brussel sprouts were charred nicely with a tomato paste type sauce. The crudo was flavorful, I just wished I had a a better fish to grape ratio (a little more fish, less grapes). The pizza was great (thin crust), but didn’t taste the garlic come thru as much as we’d like. Pasta was good but the sauce was amazing. The highlight was definitely the chocolate cake with olive oil, sea salt & cream. We got it with the honey ice cream and it was not too sweet or rich, flavor pairing was divine.Staff were friendly and bathrooms were clean.
