Mike's Tavern Bar • $$
8814 Liberty Ave, Ozone Park

“A nice local spot with great staff and friendly clientele. This forum was used by 3 people who came in and appeared to be looking to complain about something to cause a ruckus or get free stuff for complaining. I was there and their attitude was apparent. All 3 of them should be ashamed of themselves these haters reviews should be removed! This is not the place for being petty and spiteful. Their reviews are FR, MLP and EL. People like them should be banned before they damage other people's businesses!“

Golden Arrow Bar and Lounge Bar
107-14 101st Ave, Ozone Park

“Besides the hotel being beautiful and comfortable, Kim at the front desk was phenomenal, she showed us the room when we were in Lake Placid back in March and helped us book on the spot when she gave us a tour of some rooms we were interested in. For our stay in June, she was amazing right from the beginning. With a warm welcome and attentiveness to what we were interested in and wanted, she helped us source restaurants, find activities and genuinely cared about our stay. She made us reservations at places she recommended and is a huge part of te experience being positive. There are few people in hospitality like her who live for it and are genuine through and through. Thank you Kim! We will be back“

Equestris Buffet • $$
110-00 Rockaway Blvd, Ozone Park

“Aqueduct is what it is - winter thoroughbred racing in New York. It's never going to be Belmont or Saratoga. But - especially for the Derby prep weekend races in March and April - there is a good time to be had here. The third floor restaurant, Equestris is especially nice. If you use the owner's entrance on the south side of the building (same side as the big horse and jockey mural) and take the elevator straight to the third floor you won't experience anything unsightly or unpleasant. And once you get into the Equestris Restaurant its really nice - white linen tables, friendly hostess, and (importantly) well-to-do patrons. There's a dress code at Equestris. You don't need a suitcoat or blazer but you will want to be dressed nicely. If you want to wear a really good suit and look sharp (or put on a nice dress and jewelry) you will not be alone. This is where the owners go to watch and eat - often with friends and family. The buffet is excellent and the waitstaff is attentive. If you want to go watch some races at trackside, you'll need to take the escalator down a couple of floors and wade through the unwashed masses, but that's nothing you haven't done or seen before as a racing fan. The bathrooms I experienced were fine. I've been to Aqueduct a handful of times and never had a particularly bad experience - its just not Belmont in spring or Saratoga in summer, and it never will be.“

“this is over all my favorite chinese restaurant, food is good (love the pepper steak and house fried rice) but seems like some locations cook different so I stick to only one location, it can improve a couple customer service things like offer a replacement when returning a dish like Im hungry, i dont want $10 back and also some delivery guys should just work as any other delivery like is always the NT delivery who doesnt only get down the car but barely pull off the road“

“Waited an hour in line but the food was well worth the wait! They use the right amount of 5 spice season to make the chicken perfectly seasoned. Despite the long wait, you're not guaranteed a table. We were in the front. This place is not ideal for groups of 3 if you're trying to get into the back room. The hostess wouldn't even put us on the waitlist for the back room.“

“The whole experience was phenomenal - starting from very warm welcome, ambience, service and especially the food. The tasting menu options were all encompassing with their best dishes and we really loved all of them. The desert experience was out of the world! Lastly we would like to note a special mention for Javier (captain for our section) - he made sure we had the best experience on a special day including a kitchen tour! Overall totally loved the Michelin 2 experience at Daniel’s and we would highly recommend it.“

“Another fantastic dinner at PS Kitchen. Highly recommend the Thai Chili wings, crabby cakes and Brussel Sprouts. Our table also had the Linguini Alfredo, Cesar wrap and the Thai Sweet Chili Sandwich. We didn’t like the pretzel bun but otherwise everything was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff are friendly and we did not feel rushed. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.“

“I came here for my birthday dinner. The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They explained the tasting course thoroughly. The first course was a set of three little dishes and the rest was a sort of "choose your own adventure" type of thing. My brother, husband and I each ordered something different and we got to try most of the menu that way. The presentation was impeccable and the food was top notch. They presented me with a cute little birthday dessert with a candle. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.“
