This is the perfect place to take your friend who comes to New York often enough that people think she lives here. Get here around 4:23 on a Thursday and you’ll only wait 40 minutes in the wind to get a seat at the Coop, where you’ll spend 10 more minutes trying to puzzle through their menu. TLDR: Come early to avoid long lines. Cocktails are strong, small, expensive. Chicken sandwich was A+!This place is #2 on The World's 50 Best Bars in 2023, published by William Reed Business Media. Bring your ID because they always check. My friend and I got here at 4:30pm today (they open at 5pm ) and there were already about 10 people on line. Best drinks in the US. Make sure you get to the back room to experience some of the most unique and sophisticated concoctions ever. The chicken sandwich was also the best I’ve ever had.
