“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“Margie’s is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor of the Rockaway Hotel. It’s very nostalgic to locals as it was built where the Rockaway staple known as Gallagher, Snug Harbor and Daltons once stood before the beautiful hotel was built. Margie’s serves up some great food including an excellent variety of prime steak cuts. Their cocktails are excellent and one must taste their staple Irish Coffee which is fantastic. Margie’s and the entire Rockaway Hotel have always been an amazing experience.”

“Can’t fault this place. I’m not usually a big fan of heavy tomato sauce on my marg but the sauce these guys make is delish! Great pizza with fresh ingredients and light dough. Plenty of seating available at a prime location.”

“I went to The Harbor Light with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. I cannot tell you how accommodating the staff was. We originally sat in an area where he was unable to hear well. The owner Bernadette and the server Annie opened up a whole other section in the restaurant for us that was quieter. They were so kind and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would definitely recommend this place. They truly care about their patrons. Thank you Harbor Light!”

“The food is exceptional here. Each time I've been here the sushi is tasty, the rolls are fresh and the tempura is crispy. The salmon teriyaki was light, flaky and sauced to perfection. The salmon sashimi is top tier and I could have 20 of these in one sitting. The white tuna and red snapper sashimi are also favorites. The sake and crazy salmon rolls were also really really good, the volcano roll wasn't my favorite. I love coming and trying new rolls each time. Its great value when doing the all you can eat option.

The service is great in the sense that you get really tasty and fresh food as soon as its ready. After ordering, our servers brought our items as they were ready and checked on us throughout to clear empty plates and bring more as we needed. They gave us time to eat/enjoy and we didn't feel rushed at any point. If busy then there might be a small wait to get their attention but other than that, I think they do a great job. Sometimes you'll see workers sitting at a table enjoying their lunch as well, but it doesn't bother me because they do such a great job behind the scenes.

The space is clean, tidy, and spacious. They have a selection of booths or tables to sit at. There is also a restroom for customers that is clean and convenient.

Overall a great experience and I'll be back again for the all you can eat option.”

“If you want a bagel, cant go wrong here they sell a good bagel. Only issue is why can I get a hungry man platter but I can't get a Hungry man Hero for $12 of course without the pancake and french toast. I would like to know. Thanks.”

“We were a group of 23 to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and John, Alex, the staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating. The beer was awesome, the appetizers delicious, the venue just gorgeous, the music and the vibe so good!! We will be back again!”

“Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing even cold. The chocolate chip cookie had the perfect salty-sweet balance. I don’t even like blueberries, but their blueberry bun with cream cheese frosting was so good I had to pause. The blondie was soft and rich and just right.

It’s really hard to find a bakery where everything hits. This place does. You can tell there’s real care in the food. This isn’t just baking to bake, there’s love in it.”

“My son took me here for a birthday dinner after hanging at Rockaway Beach. This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The pasta is homemade and delicious. I had a ravioli dish that was finished off with heating in their brick oven. I’d like to rate this restaurant 10 stars!!!!”

“One of the biggest likes I have with this place is the phone service . The girl that answers every time is beyond respectful and sweet. She was patient with all my questions and with me not making up my mind. The establishment is also well kept and cleaned anytime I’ve been in there. Loved this local bar — the vibe was friendly, open, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The bartender was attentive, prices were decent, and the space was clean with a nice mix of high tables in the back and low tables up front. A handful of locals were gathered around the bar, which added to the charm.

We were really glad to find this spot especially when it started raining on the beach. It was a rainy Friday midday, not busy at all, and we genuinely enjoyed ourselves.

Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink. Looking forward to coming back whenever we’re in the neighborhood!”

“The Rockaway is really needed a spot like this that you could go to later at night it’s not 116th St. I really like the falafel here a lot, it’s well flavored with good seasoning. The people behind the counter always super friendly and confirm your order. I order out here but once or twice a week. Highly recommend.”
