Everything comes together perfectly—the bagel is toasted just right, the eggs and bacon are flavorful, and the hash browns add that perfect crispy texture. It’s a seriously satisfying breakfast.

One thing to note: I’ve noticed that when ordering through third-party delivery apps like Uber Eats, it doesn’t come out quite the same. The quality and presentation just aren’t on the same level as when you order it in person.

“I called two days ago to order a breakfast catered for my sons’s friends from college that were coming for the weekend. The girl on the phone was very helpful assisting me with selections. I ordered two bagel platters and two muffin platters along with 1/2 tray of each bacon and sausage. On pick up the staff was very pleasant and assisted me to my car. “The line may look long, but it moves surprisingly fast. I had been to the West Village location before, but I actually enjoyed the Williamsburg location even more. Being able to grab a bagel and walk to the waterfront made the experience even better.
The smoked salmon bagel was absolutely delicious. The cream cheese, the salmon, and the bagel itself were all amazing. The fresh orange juice was also excellent and paired perfectly with the bagel. If you’re visiting with your partner or a friend, you can easily share one because they’re quite filling. Definitely worth the wait!“

“One of my biggest things I do is when I go out of town is I always look for something local. And right next-door where I was going to be was my favorite bagel. I figured I’ll go get a bagel and a drink. Well I walked in there, and there was all different types of pizza there there was a salad bar on the other side and then there was a bakery got a piece of pizza. I don’t know what kind it was but let me tell you something from where I am in New York this was nothing like it. The pizza was out of this world. “I really liked this biryani, very different from what I’ve had before. Chicken was fresh and flavorful but I didn’t like how many peas were in it, besides that, great biryani. I really liked the sauces they sent. All of them had layered flavors, the tamarind sauce was my favorite. I like when restaurants take effort to give you a good meal. The samosas were so good, not oily, flaky and filled to the brim! The potatoes were perfectly cooked as well.“

“I was in a super rush to get to the airport this morning and I had a family of eight to feed before I get there I called Moshe at the Giant bagel store and gave him the order over the phone and 10 Minutes later the food was waiting for me all packed in bags and boxes Moshe and his wonderful staff even his wife came to the rescue I can’t thank them enough. “Avenue U Bagels is an absolute gem of an old-school neighborhood bagel shop. The counter setup is straightforward and efficient, with a constant stream of locals coming in for their morning routine. “I don’t live anywhere near here but whenever I am around and I gave time to stop, I stop and have a bit here at SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop.

What I like most about it, is the food. I feel like my mom, dad or one of my Aunties made it and I feel like I’m with them chillin’ and eating. It brings back memories.

Besides that, the owner is kind and friendly and so are the workers. This place if clean and smells clean. It’s a spot where there’s no real fanfare but I like that because, once inside, you have some chairs, a few tables and a two stool window seat option. However, there is a long radiator there so, if you sit to the side, things will work out for you eating over there.

They have a nice assortment of cold beverages and food options. Again, the place is clean and I feel confident eating here.

The store is a little small and you have a lot of people in there. From the moment you walk in you can really tell this is one of those places that actually cares about what it serves. Everything feels fresh, carefully made and full of character. The bagels are perfect crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, with that fresh baked texture that makes you immediately realize you’re eating something special with meaning.

But what really separates this place from other bagel shops is the attention to detail, it’s on a different level. The flavors are fantastic, the portions are generous and everything comes together exactly how you want it to. You can taste the quality in every bite. It doesn’t feel like food that was simply thrown together but it feels like someone genuinely takes pride in making it

The atmosphere is another huge part of the experience. It has that welcoming and comfortable feeling that makes you want to sit down to enjoy your food and stay a little longer to chat and bond. The staff is very very friendly and the service is great, and theres a warmth to the whole place that’s becoming harder and harder to find.
And then there’s the presentation. Look at this bagel. 😂 The colors, the shape, the swirls it almost looks too good to eat. It’s the kind of food that makes you stop for a second before taking the first bite because you actually want to appreciate what you’re looking at. Somehow it manages to be both ridiculously fun and genuinely delicious.
This isn’t just a place I’d recommend if you’re looking for a bagel. This is the kind of place you tell people about afterward. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast, getting something quickk or just looking for an excuse to treat yourself, this place delivers.

“I walked in, and there was an older gentleman who was upset, feeling that he was purposely being overlooked. Two of the managers, who I assumed were managers, came out. They tried their best to console him. I could see in their faces that they were even more upset that he felt this way. They genuinely cared, and to me, that means more than any service anybody could provide. That is top-notch service.“
