“We had five orders. Two egg breakfast bagels, one cream cheese bagel, one roast beef sandwich and one honey chicken sandwich. I would say the best ones were cream cheese bagel and roast beef roll! The egg sandwiches did not have enough eggs. I would had three easy on eggs rather than scrambled eggs. The turkey sandwich was just an ordinary one.“

“I called two days ago to order a breakfast catered for my sons’s friends from college that were coming for the weekend. The girl on the phone was very helpful assisting me with selections. I ordered two bagel platters and two muffin platters along with 1/2 tray of each bacon and sausage. On pick up the staff was very pleasant and assisted me to my car. “The line may look long, but it moves surprisingly fast. I had been to the West Village location before, but I actually enjoyed the Williamsburg location even more. Being able to grab a bagel and walk to the waterfront made the experience even better.
The smoked salmon bagel was absolutely delicious. The cream cheese, the salmon, and the bagel itself were all amazing. The fresh orange juice was also excellent and paired perfectly with the bagel. If you’re visiting with your partner or a friend, you can easily share one because they’re quite filling. Definitely worth the wait!“

“I was in a super rush to get to the airport this morning and I had a family of eight to feed before I get there I called Moshe at the Giant bagel store and gave him the order over the phone and 10 Minutes later the food was waiting for me all packed in bags and boxes Moshe and his wonderful staff even his wife came to the rescue I can’t thank them enough. “One of my biggest things I do is when I go out of town is I always look for something local. And right next-door where I was going to be was my favorite bagel. I figured I’ll go get a bagel and a drink. Well I walked in there, and there was all different types of pizza there there was a salad bar on the other side and then there was a bakery got a piece of pizza. I don’t know what kind it was but let me tell you something from where I am in New York this was nothing like it. The pizza was out of this world. “I’ve been coming here on and off for probably close to 25 years. It’s definitely one of the best, if not the best breakfast spot in the neighborhood. The prices are high though and still going up. A bacon, egg and cheese bagel is $7. A raisin bagel with cinnamon cream cheese is $3.75; I think it was $2 just a few years ago.The bagels aren’t the big ones you see in some spots so it’s a quick snack. I can’t justify those prices since my favorite bodega is charging $5 for the bacon, egg and cheese.

The sandwiches are a better value cause you’re getting more than double the food for less than twice the price. I like the “Italian Sub” and “The Russian” for $12. I tried the “Tuna Delight” on a hero today for $10 and it’s more justified than the bagel prices. They charged .50 just to add onions which is kinda lame. Sandwich shops don’t do that unless it’s something like roasted red peppers.

Lastly, they surcharge 3.75% to pay by card. I work in credit card processing so I understand more than most how thin the margins are for a small business. I urge most of my clients to do the same to be more profitable (pass the fees to the customer), but when you’re also charging extra just to add onions it gets to a point where you gotta call out being cheap. Sorry.

It’s still a very good local spot to grab a bite. The place is packed even at 6:30 am. The pictures are the Italian Sub, bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, raisin bagel, and the Tuna Delight.“

“I don’t live anywhere near here but whenever I am around and I gave time to stop, I stop and have a bit here at SHM Bagel & Coffee Shop.

What I like most about it, is the food. I feel like my mom, dad or one of my Aunties made it and I feel like I’m with them chillin’ and eating. It brings back memories.

Besides that, the owner is kind and friendly and so are the workers. This place if clean and smells clean. It’s a spot where there’s no real fanfare but I like that because, once inside, you have some chairs, a few tables and a two stool window seat option. However, there is a long radiator there so, if you sit to the side, things will work out for you eating over there.

They have a nice assortment of cold beverages and food options. Again, the place is clean and I feel confident eating here.
