“I called two days ago to order a breakfast catered for my sons’s friends from college that were coming for the weekend. The girl on the phone was very helpful assisting me with selections. I ordered two bagel platters and two muffin platters along with 1/2 tray of each bacon and sausage. On pick up the staff was very pleasant and assisted me to my car. “Radio Bakery was good but maybe I should've gotten the more popular items.

The tomato danish was good. The new corn focaccia tastes a bit under-baked. The vanilla kouign-amann was really fluffy with a hardened sugar coating bottom.

The line for 10am drop was pretty quick - 15 min wait. But the line for 11am drop was significantly longer - about 45mins.

To give an idea, the corn focaccia dropped at 10am which we got right away. Then we went back in line for the 11am drop and at 11:15am, there were only two slices of corn foaccis left.“

“Everything I try at The Sweet Tooth & Catering is the best thing I’ve tasted. I just got them to cater a ~20 person tailgate on a Sunday morning: portobello mushroom sandwiches, turkey meatball subs, shrimp po-boys, and sweet potato pound cake (wow). Everything was delicious, and Shakoor went above and beyond, walking me through the options beforehand and thoughtfully preparing and packing the food the day of to make sure it all traveled well. “A classic NYC establishment with gluten-free options! Chef Cristina answered all of our questions about their protocols for gluten-free pastries. They keep them on the top shelf and/or separate from the other pastries and they are made at different times with sanitized equipment. Of course it is a shared kitchen, so keep that in mind in terms of cross contact. Everything we tried was delicious! My favorites that day were the espresso cheesecake, the red velvet cheesecake cup and the flourless chocolate cake. We will absolutely be back!“

“This is the best coffee shop in the neighborhood. The staff (shout out Elvis) is incredibly kind and make you feel like the only customer they've ever known. He comes to my dog's birthday parties if that tells you anything. The shop is clean yet dog friendly, small but warm and sunny. The food is INCREDIBLE. “I found this bakery from a neighbor who recommended their specialty Dominican cakes. I ordered for the first time via their web form and promptly received a quote, sent in some edits and very easily placed my order. I appreciate that during the production of the cake there was a question and the shop sent me a chat through the site and I was able to quickly get a response. When I picked up, I was so impressed by the shop! They have beautiful cakes ready for pick up, cake slices and desserts that look like art not food! “Honestly, if you've heard any hype about this place, believe it. Not only are the staff amazing (yes, all of the staff!) not only are you greeted with warm welcomes but you're immediately greeted with the warm smell of the delicious cookies on hand. We've compared the lineup of cookies to 'other' cookie shops and they don't stand up to Chip City. Our favorites have been the Confetti and Triple Chocolate. My personal fave was the Rainbow cookie so grab when it makes an appearance. And yes, you can check on their site for the week's lineup and plan accordingly. I also want to mention that there is a rewards points system in play of you choose to share your number (they promised me it was only used for points and they don't sell your number- I haven't received any unsolicited texts since signing up). The quickest way to rack up points of buying the Box Sets (3 or 6). Enjoy!

“Finally made my way to Lisbonata in Brooklyn, a spot I’ve been wanting to try for a while because I’ve been craving their pastel de natas! I was especially excited to check out their weekly limited-edition flavor: Earl Grey and also got their Pistachio Cream, Salted Caramel, Yuzu, and Belgian Chocolate flavors.

The Earl Grey 🍵 was delicate and fragrant, with a subtle tea flavor that came through nicely without being overpowering. The Pistachio Cream 🥜was creamy, nutty, and rich, with a really satisfying pistachio flavor. The Salted Caramel 🍮 had that perfect sweet-and-salty balance. Rich and buttery with just enough salt to keep it from tasting overly sweet. The Yuzu 🍊was the bright and refreshing one of the bunch. Citrusy, slightly tart, and a nice contrast to the richer flavors. And the Belgian Chocolate 🍫 had a light chocolatey taste and didn’t overpower the entire pastry. We also tried the Salted Maple Latte ☕️. It was nice and had a cozy maple sweetness with a subtle salty finish, but wasn't anything too crazy or something I'd go back specifically for. It was a good pairing with the pastries, but the sweets were definitely the star of the show for me.“

Over the years I tried this pastry in different bakeries all over the world and have never liked it. Always too wet and soggy inside.
This place did the pastry justice. The right amount of crispiness on the outside with the sweet chewiness on the inside. Some parts are not as heavy so it creates a perfect balance. It's sweet but in a good way. As a health conscious dessert lover, I can safely say this babka is worth the sugar and calories.
