The local who insisted I had to grab one as we walked by absolutely knew what he was talking about. Abuela's Empanadas was my introduction to the fat-kid status that would come to describe the entire time I lived in New York City as a Midwestern transplant, lol. “Love Farm to People so much! I just started a month ago and have gotten several deliveries since. Always such fresh fruit and produce, something I can't get in the grocery stores near me. They have an excellent selection of pantry goods too. I like their prepared dishes and plan on trying more this week.

Customer service has always been so responsive and I've had addresses changed, items changed, etc., just from texting them like I would with a friend. Super happy that I gave this service a try.“

I went in by myself and tried their banh mi, which despite not being like what you would find in a typical Vietnamese spot, was super tasty and I highly recommend it. Use my photo as evidence of how good it is, I ate half of it before I finally took a photo, haha. The bread itself was soft, it tasted fresh, and the filling wasn't overly spicy or bland, it was just right. The baked goods looked tempting and I might have to try them next time.

“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . My son's big day today and I took a trip here to pick up my custom strawberry cake layered with their famous lightly sweetened freshly whipped cakes. When you step inside It's as if you step back in time. My mom first took me here when I was 11 or 12 and this place still look the same. The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy. When I want a good delicious healthier cake I come to Yeh's.“

“A classic NYC establishment with gluten-free options! Chef Cristina answered all of our questions about their protocols for gluten-free pastries. They keep them on the top shelf and/or separate from the other pastries and they are made at different times with sanitized equipment. Of course it is a shared kitchen, so keep that in mind in terms of cross contact. Everything we tried was delicious! My favorites that day were the espresso cheesecake, the red velvet cheesecake cup and the flourless chocolate cake. We will absolutely be back!“

“This is the best coffee shop in the neighborhood. The staff (shout out Elvis) is incredibly kind and make you feel like the only customer they've ever known. He comes to my dog's birthday parties if that tells you anything. The shop is clean yet dog friendly, small but warm and sunny. The food is INCREDIBLE. I could drink a small swimming pool of their lemonade. Just go - get a biscuit. Or a sandwich. Or a banan bread. I could go on and on.“

Malú offers unique pastries, such as the Dubai chocolate cheesecake that is to die for, I ordered their olive bread as I used to do when Yaya was open. Their berry napoleons are the best, the spanakopita and the leek pies are very fresh and tasty, I also ordered them. In summary, a unique business in terms of quality, variety, cleanliness and the warmth of their staff. I highly recommend Malú and the only regret I have is that they are not closer to me as they used to be, but worth the walk !“
