“Nick made my wedding cake and I couldn't recommend ordering from him more. He was extremely professional and kind and was great to work with from start to finish. We did a cake tasting before and were so blown away with his coquito flavor (and so happy to include some of our latin culture in our cake). With just a little bit of reference on what we were looking for he completely blew the design out of the park and we were so happy the day of our wedding. “So in-love with their ube cake! Must if you really want to get a good ube cake! Location: It is located along Queens Boulevard. The store was typical bakery, few seatings inside. Good display of breads, cakes and items from the Philippines. Service: not much interaction cause I just bought cake and go. Food: UBE CAKE: omg it is so good! The cake itself is moist even few days after I purchase! The frosting is like cream type, its a bit a lot but it taste good because it taste ube as well. Unlike other ube cakes that the cream does not taste ube! I almost eat half of the cake because it is so good! Price rating: 7/10, $45 for a round cake. Thats the usual price now for more stores! Definitely will come back here I will try their other flavors! But get the ube cake!!“

“What a special patissserie and boulangerie ! Every variety of French pastry, sandwich and bread is the finest you can buy anywhere. Their coffe beverages are also excellent. The multigrain loaf disappears quickly with loads of butter. Yum !“

“I liked it! I got some as a gift so I didn’t visit the actual store. All time favorite thing here was the strawberry pastry (if the business replies; please just say the name of that one) SO good. I would come back for that. Fantastic. Fluffy and light and airy with a perfectly sweetened cream fluff inside. Wow.
Corn cheese bread was sooo fun. If it’s served warm; I bet you it’s fantastic but I did eat it a couple of hours after it was ordered.
The fig bread had an amazing texture to it. Light and fluffy like Portuguese bread (I did personally wish the figs were cut smaller to enjoy more evenly but that’s personal preference)
The variety of stuff was really fun! Some things I did not like at all but my friends did so that was just personal preference.“

After reaching out to customer service the issue was fixed. It was annoying that the reason was incorrectly marked as customer didn't want the order. The actual reason was that store was out of stock after placing the order and then I had to go through these hoops. Regardless over all, updating rating to 4 because the cakes here are great.

I placed an order last month, they were out of stock and had to call me to say they would have to cancel. They did not cancel till the delivery guy came to pick it up and creating a lot of confusion. Since then I've been waiting for a refund. I've called over 10 times over the last 2 weeks and never been able to get through no matter the time of day. There is no email. There is no customer service for such issues. Posting here as the last ditch effort before flagging them for fraudulent charges.“

“I waited the absolute last minute to order a cake for my daughter's 18th birthday and Maison de Gateaux did not disappoint. I showed them an inspiration photo less than 2 weeks before the event, chose the flavors and prayed it was beautiful and delicious! I was able to pick up the cake at 9AM when they first opened the day after the holiday and crossed my fingers. The cake was beautiful. No... It was simply STUNNING. It captured the color that I wanted for the cake and the simplicity of the design of it. My daughter loved the cake. It was also delicious (we ordered the lemon cake and cannoli; bottom and top tier respectively). It was also budget friendly. I got the 8" and 10" which was more than enough for sharing. Thank you Maison de Gateaux for being a part of my daughter's special day! more power to you.“

“I came here during Ramadan 2025 almost every week. The chocolate-covered Baklava was genuinely incredible.

I remember I bought a whole tray for an office party and ended up finishing half of it on the subway to the party.

“Small spot, not a lot of seating. The woman at the counter not the most welcoming but nice enough. The coconut flan was absolutely delicious ($5). Not too sweet. Very creamy. My mom is a flan snob since she makes it herself, and she loved it!“

“This has been my go-to bakery and coffee shop since they have opened! It’s the perfect place to grab my morning coffee before getting on the train and I consistently get pastries and sweet treats for birthdays, holidays, or for myself. The chef has perfected her art, as everything is always well balanced, not overly sweet, and incredibly flavorful and light. My favorite type of pastry is one with buttercream and it’s been proven difficult to find buttercream pastries in general, but also delicately well made. I often buy the mini cake as it is the perfect buttercream recipe and everyone I have gotten it for has been thrilled. You cannot go wrong with this establishment. I am always impressed by the artistry, craft, and of course, flavors. The family that owns it are also truly kind and overall wonderful people who I look forward to seeing every morning on my way to work.“

“My husband and I were so happy to find WildFlour in LIC a few months before our wedding! We were initially on the fence about getting a wedding cake, but as soon as we met Gina for our tasting, we knew we needed to have a WildFlour cake.

We loved the unique, modern, and (most importantly) delicious cake/frosting options - it was hard to choose, but we ended up doing a champagne vanilla cake with champagne & honey lavender buttercream for our wedding cake. (For what it’s worth, my husband is not a cake/dessert person, but he loved the WildFlour cakes. His direct quote: “Best cake I have ever had”)

Leading up to our wedding, Gina was super responsive and accommodating with a couple of changes we wanted to make. On the day of our wedding, Gina coordinated her delivery with my florist so that she could decorate the cake with fresh flowers. The end result was beautiful and the cake was incredible! (In fact, we ended up eating the top tier of our cake the day after our wedding because there was no way we could wait a year.)

“the 5-star rating is for the huge sourdough bolle that is sold quartered at Balducci's in Scarsdale and Greenwich. Sadly, they started thin-slicing the loaves which ruins it for me. Then they started carrying another brand of sourdough that I threw out. I can't speak for any other products Tomcat makes because I wouldn't know where to buy them in Westchester County. Too bad the bakery doesn't put their own name on the label..I had to corner a couple of people at the store and keep asking until they finally told me. Like all good things that come to an end, great stuff seemingly gets discontinued there, at Whole Foods and at Trader Joe's with the constant refrain..."it's not selling so well!! I can't help but believe a competitor might be involved in greasing someone's hand, because it makes no sense. Conspiracy theory...MY BAD!“

“Food was great. As all other restaurants the price is average (between $17 - $23$) a plate. We went on a cold Sunday (winter) during lunch hour. There wasn’t a whole lot of people and food came out rather quickly. We had Bandeja Paisa, Caldo de Costilla, and Pollo empanizado. Only thing I did not like was when paying for the bill one of the ladies messed up with the change and did not realize until I told her she was short but other than that all was good.“

“One of my favorite Chinese bakeries in the world (not just Flushing). Prices are great, food even greater. Of course taste is subjective. My favorite is a sweet corn danish for $1.90 as of this posting.
Opens at 7am most days. They're ready a few minutes before. If you don't speak their language either be very patient and be ready for some "rude" customer service (it's NOT rude) or use Google Translate. Don't be that non-local who blames non English speakers for being "unfriendly".

But we are in an airport. Food was actually pretty good. Not exactly happy with my bagel though, since they needed to toast it just to make it soft. But then all the butter melted before I could take a bite. Life is hard.“
