The attendee accidentally messed up my order but she gave me a discount for the error and some mini cupcakes on the house! I ordered the plátano maduro muffin and was super impressed! Really yummy! He was such a humble and kind soul and even offered for me to wait in the car to which he would bring out the food for us but we opted to wait inside for the food and had a great conversation and a few laughs. Food came out quick and was delicious. Whatever that smashburger sauce is was so good. We THOROUGHLY enjoyed the twist donuts. My son's big day today and I took a trip here to pick up my custom strawberry cake layered with their famous lightly sweetened freshly whipped cakes. When you step inside It's as if you step back in time. My mom first took me here when I was 11 or 12 and this place still look the same. The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy. I was ordering mochi donuts and debated picking my last flavor, when the lady behind the counter mentioned the s’mores flavor was really popular and that it didn’t contain gelatin. She saw me in a hijab and abaya and knew to inform me that I could even consider the s’mores flavor as an option. For religious dietary reasons, I usually don’t bother gravitating towards anything with marshmallow, as most places use pork gelatin. I left the shop smiley about customer service and trying a flavor I don’t usually have the luxury of getting. This kind of service where vendors are culturally aware is rare - even in a diverse city like NYC. Good display of breads, cakes and items from the Philippines. Service: not much interaction cause I just bought cake and go. Food: UBE CAKE: omg it is so good! The cake itself is moist even few days after I purchase! The frosting is like cream type, its a bit a lot but it taste good because it taste ube as well. Unlike other ube cakes that the cream does not taste ube! I almost eat half of the cake because it is so good! Price rating: 7/10, $45 for a round cake. Thats the usual price now for more stores! Definitely will come back here I will try their other flavors! But get the ube cake!!“

For me, what separates good customer service and exemplary customer service is when I ask for something and if it's not possible, I'm offered an alternative. That's EXACTLY what Lidia did for me. Her brilliant idea made my relative's birthday cake EXTRA special!!! I also ordered 4 lbs of cannolis. BEST CANNOLIS IN QUEENS. Fresh, perfect taste & consistency & sweetness. Cannolis without chocolate chips are divine and Joe's is the Holy Grail. The cookies were so good as well. Thank you to the entire staff @ Joe's Sicilian Bakery. Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! I ordered a cappuccino, 2 Grand Opening cupcakes, and a box of macarons for my bf and I to share and it was all sooo good.

The cupcakes had a passionfruit icing/paste that I could tell was made with real passionfruit on the inside and the cake was the perfect texture and moisture level. As good as the cupcakes were though, the real star of the show was the macarons. They were out of this world. We tried one of every flavor and I was not let down. My favorites were the fruity pebbles and the earl grey.

“I ordered a black seasame and mashed taro cake, not for special occasions. I just want to have some dessert. The top was filled with sweet mango/strawberry (you can pick the fruit). The cake is sweet but not too sweet, you don't feel heavy after eating the cake. Very recommend it!“

“I really like the service here, the people and most especially the amazing iced coffee they serve! However, most of the other food is mediocre at best. But it works. I’m quite surprised no one has really written about some of the baked items, except that we’re probably all relieved to have some semblance of a bakery within walking distance. However, at times the food served is slightly stale, having been refrigerated for too many days. I was served a dry, stale piece of flan that was refrigerated for too long on a tray, instead of in its caramelized sugar liquid in a container, like it’s supposed to be. The cakes are over-dyed, dry and usually too sweet, or lacking in flavor completely. I’m not sure if anything is actually fresh-baked on site. But for a walking-distance Argentine bakery that speaks our “language,” I feel we tend to make lots of allowances in this neighborhood.“
