“Such a friendly and beautiful team of women behind the counter. Alexis and her team are a good staple in our community, they remember names, they remember orders & if there’s ever a mistake they are quick to remedy it. Once, our order got switched with someone else’s and the next day, their team surprised me with our usual order on the house due to it. It was truly not expected and kindly appreciated. It is nice moving back to Queens from Brooklyn, and see them in action. We love our bagels and they can make a mean breakfast sandwich to boot! They have my business and hopefully they can carry some nice flavored vegan cream cheese options for my non dairy needs :)“

The food was amazing order consisted of Haitian patties variety (spinach, beef, fish, chicken), call the champagne and Haitian cookies (the cookies were OK). “This location has been excellent since my first time arriving here I came from Georgia to visit my mother and she sent me here to get some ice cream and from the first time I met the wonderful staff at this establishment I can't stop coming back! Although I only spent six weeks in New York it was worth my time I came to this location so much in the last 6 weeks I know I must have put on at least 20 extra pounds and it's not the ice cream that I love it's the staff here Samantha is amazing she really knows customer service she really knows how to be hospitable the ice cream is good but it's the people that made it even better. The other extraordinary woman here is a woman by the name of Diana I believe it was. She works in the cinnabon area and you can see her heart and her love in the way that she treats the customers I was sitting there eating ice cream one day and I watched how she just went above and beyond making the customer feel welcomed in this establishment. They have come to know me because I come here buying ice cream for my mother all the time and they even remember and they always ask about her it's beyond just a store it's almost like coming to see friends. Make it your business to stop at this location it is very much worth it the music is always excellent here it always has a great atmosphere.
This store should be a model to all the other Carvel locations out there on how you should treat your customers please utilize the staff to train other locations it will be well worth the time all of the people that are here are leaders and teammates and I've come to really like them and love them.“

i was biking along when heavens opens. searching for the nearest interior my clunky bike and i stumbled our way into this blue sanctuary. we were graciously welcomed in and patiently waited. Baristas were friendly but not overbearing and kind to each customer that followed after me.

The interior is endearing. The couch is super comfortable and the book selection is great! I had forgotten a book at home so i was especially grateful for this. I especially love that there is a book nook for a child too!

My son's big day today and I took a trip here to pick up my custom strawberry cake layered with their famous lightly sweetened freshly whipped cakes. When you step inside It's as if you step back in time. My mom first took me here when I was 11 or 12 and this place still look the same. The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy. “What a lovely surprise ! I knew the staff as they were formerly working at the iconic Yaya’s Bakery, a staple family business in 31 st that closed down after many years of business. Malú offers unique pastries, such as the Dubai chocolate cheesecake that is to die for, I ordered their olive bread as I used to do when Yaya was open. Their berry napoleons are the best, the spanakopita and the leek pies are very fresh and tasty, I also ordered them. In summary, a unique business in terms of quality, variety, cleanliness and the warmth of their staff. I highly recommend Malú and the only regret I have is that they are not closer to me as they used to be, but worth the walk !“

“This place is wonderful that I stumbled upon it a couple months ago and I have been coming back weekly ever since. I have yet to have a drink I didn’t like here and the same goes for their desserts.

The cinnamon rolls? So sweet and indulgent, they come in packs of two so it’s perfect for those who wanna share an order.

The croissants? Buttery, flaky, everything you want in a croissant is how they make it here. Plus they have different fillings if you don’t want a plain croissant.

The desserts? They are RICH. I can buy one and have it in the fridge for two or three days, all you need is a spoon or two and you’re good to go. Even buying one of the bite sized ones instead is what I tend to do sometimes because all you need is one bite and you’re good. Plus the bite sizes have the different flavors as well, they did some cereal flavors recently and it was AMAZING!

Also the staff are so nice and polite. I have a mom with diabetes who comes here and they constantly warn her if something is too sweet and have her taste her drinks to see what they can add for her. They remember the little things and that makes it easier to converse with them.“
