“During my time in Kingston last year, I enjoyed a lot of the menu options such as the fruit salads (especially the ones with chocolate in it). I especially enjoyed the banana crepe, velvet crepe, chicken crepe, garlic beef crepe, and the chocolavo drink. All the options were quite unique and worth the price. It's too bad this place is closed though. I really wish there was a restaurant in my current area that is at least remotely similar to Fruit Festival.“

“This is the Lomo Saltado (top left) and the Super Bandeja Tipica (bottom center). My mom is Peruvian and was really impressed with how big and juicy the Lomo Saltado was for the price. The restaurant is extremely new and well kept. I'm very impressed and will be returning again.“

“Food was great. As all other restaurants the price is average (between $17 - $23$) a plate. We went on a cold Sunday (winter) during lunch hour. There wasn’t a whole lot of people and food came out rather quickly. We had Bandeja Paisa, Caldo de Costilla, and Pollo empanizado. Only thing I did not like was when paying for the bill one of the ladies messed up with the change and did not realize until I told her she was short but other than that all was good.“

The only thing I can complain about or maybe hope they change a bit is sometimes the young lady in the front and all the waiters seem to have an attitude. “I always knew that Colombian people were friendly, but in this restaurant, it’s like you visit Columbia the country everybody is very hospitable the person that stood out was Andres, I wasn’t sure what to get, but his recommendations were top notch. “Good place to get typical Colombian food, it is well located, it has several points of sale and its products are always fresh and quite delicious. They have products that are made within the site itself and others that are sold, but that are brought from Colombia. Very good.“

“I have been coming here since at least 2009. The food is always prepared fresh and made to order hence the long wait times. I have dined in, taken out and ordered via UberEats for delivery as I live a few towns over. I have never encountered rude staff or an attitude of any sort at this location, even over the phone. The location across from QCM however is a different story and leaves a lot to be desired as far as courtesy and service. That being said, I absolutely love the variety of empanadas, the chicken platters, the availability of Columbiana, the aji and pink sauces here and will continue to be a customer for many years to come!“

“I absolutely love this restaurant and have no problem driving over an hour just to enjoy their food. That’s how much I usually look forward to it. But this last visit left me disappointed. I ordered 5 Hawaiian empanadas and 2 chicken, and as I was eating one of the Hawaiian empanadas, I found a piece of plastic in my food. The food itself wasn’t bad, but that moment really threw me off. It made me hesitant to eat the rest, which was such a letdown, especially from a place I usually rave about.“

“Small spot, not a lot of seating. The woman at the counter not the most welcoming but nice enough. The coconut flan was absolutely delicious ($5). Not too sweet. Very creamy. My mom is a flan snob since she makes it herself, and she loved it!“

“My second time trying this place, food portions are big, we ordered; one appetizer and one entry, it was enough for two. About $80 to $100 per person. Steak tastes fresh though ordered temperature both times was not accurate. I prefere medium well but we got a medium rare, however I am not picky, it still was delicious, maybe a tad more seasoning would hit the spot.
SERVICE: Ok
FOOD: A solid 4 stars, Tastes fresh, shrimps where cooked PERFECTLY, I am not a big fan of tostones (flied plantain flats,) HOWEVER their tostones, I could eat all day. They are THE BEST tostones i have ever tried. They Guacamole is really good, and goes perfect with the tostones.
ATMOSPHERE: Relaxed, welcoming, some light music might go very well.“

“In a city with endless empenadas and similar snacks, these are good. Not overly greasy, no stomach ache, just felt satisfied with a tasty snack before going to the Museum of the Moving Image.

I didn’t have any issues with service, cleanliness, etc.“

“Stumbled upon this place by chance and was really impressed. I tried the pan queso and the bunuelos. Both were delicious and freshly made. Also grabbed an iced coffee, which hit the spot. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for a café. Definitely worth a visit!“

“I felt very welcomed & at home here. The food is fresh and reminds me of a home cooked meal which touches my soul. I got the mini bandeja and the portion size for it’s good amount of food was worth maybe about 20-$24 while the actual price was $15. I find that to be a great deal. They have many decorations that display a very detailed and warm Columbian vibe & representation of the culture. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. I have 0 complaints and would definitely like actually, return back to this lovely restaurant!“

“I really liked this baking and cooking business, they have a variety of foods and various pastry products, the cakes look beautiful, the service was very good, the young woman who assisted us was friendly as was the staff there, They have juices and sodas, carrot cakes, chocolate, tres leches, suspiros, mantecados with chocolate chips and various sprinkles. I could see the place clean and organized, you can eat in it, it is very nice“
