“Such delicious food at Kaprichos! We definitely didn’t leave hungry! A friend and I visited for dinner on a weeknight and shared two arepas and each had a sweet burger and fries. The arepas were huge (could have been a meal themselves) and were very tasty— but my favorite was the sweet burger! It was both savory and sweet— the sauces were great and the sweet plantain was such a yummy and interesting addition! Would definitely recommend for a quick and delicious dinner in Sunnyside ?“

For those who have more time to visit, in this place you can find a games space with pinball machines and slot machines, on weekends they have live music and a large dance floor. The menu presents a tour of the typical dishes of our country, including a rib broth, three-phase sancocho, suckling pig, tamale, arepa with cheese, chicharrones, patacones, empanadas and much more, very rich flavors and fair prices for this city. I would return with the greatest of pleasure.“

“Authentic Colombian food. From the portion sizes to the seasoning, you can't go wrong ordering some good Colombian food.Personally, I think the menu is way too complex and way too many options. Options that are not even Colombian, which I found unnecessary & distracting. Service was good. However, they brought appetizers and mains at the same time. Given the generous portions, there was simply no room in the table for all the dishes. Drinks were ok & environment, cozy. Def enjoyed my meal & will not hesitate to come back if in the area.P.s: never seen Yuka fries done this way. They were ok. And their green sauce, uffff so good.“

“I first ate here in 2012 with about 20 Colombian adoptees and have been back so many times despite not living in Queens. I thought it had a different name, but I recognize the decor. This place was amazing and we went around lunch time. Many of us have friends and family in Colombia and we loved this place so much. I remember going there with a friend and not really knowing for sure how to get there one time as we took the subway, but I was still able to locate it. During that weekend we also went to an overpriced place, attempting to be "upscale" and it was no where in the same category as this restaurant. They other place even ripped us on the bill because there were some many of us and they claimed we "must have bought alcoholic drinks". They ripped us off and a girl had to put it on her credit card to get the reservation and now the bill was about $300 to $375 more and we all knew what we ordered food wise and nobody drank I'm excess so we just all chipped in to cover this rip of. If that's not bad enough they had our event published in some magazine or newspaper. Don't waste your time with those places, go here and you will not be disappointed. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Ciao.“

“Went here for a breakfast/brunch with my mom and we got the Mexican and Colubian breakfasts along with a coffee each. We also got the guacamole and jalapeños sauces.Coffee was very nice, not too strong and very smooth. My mom loved the Mexican breakfast. The beans were very flavorful and the egg scramble paired very well with pickled jalapeños. The tortillas were nice and hot and didn't break apart even when piled high with beans, rice, and eggs. Highly recommend.I also very much recommend the Columbian breakfast which came with an arepa with cheese, steak, and the same egg scramble. The steak was pretty good. While thin and cooked all the way through, it was crusty, well seasoned, and tender. I poured loads of the jalapeño sauce on top which was great. The arepa was also very nice, crispy bottom and nice gooey cheese. The sauces were also pretty good. I highly recommend the jalapeño sauce. A little kick balanced with a good sour and sweetness. The guacamole sauce was also pretty good, if a bit watery. The portions of the meal were perfectly good and filled you up but for $15 a pop, it's most definitely not an every morning meal. The highlight really was the service. Thr food arrived quickly and hot. The lady at the front desk was very nice and offered for us to finish our meals before paying. She seemed very enthusiastic and was happy to give me more jalapeño sauce when asked. The dining area itself was clean and cute. Nice music and vibes. The cushions on the seats were clean and not deflated and the tables were very clean.Overall, very nice place to eat with some damn good food. “We wanted to try something new and came across this spot in Flushing. When we entered at 11 am, the restaurant was packed. We ordered a Colombian Soda, one chicken empanada, one beef empanada, Huevos Pericos con Arepa, Queso y Mantequilla, and Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos. The Colombian Soda was different from popular flavors in the US; it had a bubblegum flavor to it. The salsa that came with the empanadas was amazing. It had a little spice to it and just hit the spot. The salsa was so addicting. The eggs in both dishes were great, but overall the Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos stood out more. The steak in the Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos was flavorful and a nice piece.Overall, we would go back to try other menu items and their empanadas and salsa again. They also have BOGO deals on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I plan to take advantage of that at some point. cafe restaurant el parce Colombian •
758 Woodward Ave, Queens

“I just love "El Parce" and visit the bakery at time's. It is quite mellow and peaceful inside. The homemade deserts like the pastels de tres leches are so delicious especially the homemade juices they have inside the refrigerator for one to grab and enjoy. The ecquadorian lady named "Flor" is a sweetheart and so attentive to customers needs and goes beyond to satisfy them with whatever sweet or food the customer may want to enjoy.“

“Latin Sports Bar along Roosevelt Avenue. Plenty of screens to watch games. Colombian style food and some Tex-Mex. Marcella my waitress was so attentive and she is an incredible menu reciter. The way she explains the specials is fantastic! I ordered the special Colombian rum mojito and my friend ordered an espresso martini. Both drinks were delicious!“

“Stopped in here this evening after having not eaten all day! The two guys behind the counter were super sweet (and bilingual). This is a small spot, but room for about eight to sit and enjoy their Colombian take on burgers and hot dogs (amongst other goodies). I forgot to take a pic, but I had the Classic burger combo - comes with lettuce, tomato, onions and their "house sauce" with fries and a soda. It was deliciosa and exactly what I needed after a day of 14K steps and nothing other than water and a yogurt in my belly! If you're in the Jackson Heights area on Northern Blvd around 81st, give them a try!“

“Small restaurant with limited seating, the menu has a wide variety of options, I highly recommend the loaded steak fries, think homemade crispy French fries with guacamole, steak, cheese!! That was so delicious!!! The breakfast platter can be shared and the coffee is delicious. The parking lot is crowded. Not pricey for the amount of food. The waitress wasn’t really checking up on us but the vibe is more of a cafe than a restaurant so that may be the reason. They were doing quite a lot of takeout. I would recommend“

“There is no bakery that rivals the La Gitana franchise in my opinion. Honestly, even when I moved to another state I tried to find another one and it doesn't compare. Unfortunately, Pan Ugo was a good competitor until 2015-2016 and something changed in the almoahabanas recipe that hasn't tasted the same since then. But La Gitana is always consistent with quality and consistency of affection also given by all its employees. Thank you always!“
