“Got there late for the breakfast, but had the bandeja tipica ,which is a big platter so enough for 2 or even 3 people . The arepas with cheese were great! And the maracuya water as always on point ! My sister had the milk maracuya and loved it. Chicken empanadas were a bit salty but the sauce helped.“

“Finally ate at Brisas after hearing so much about it and, oh my God! Words won’t do it justice. The flavor is like no other Colombian food I’ve had in the US. We ordered our food to go and, while waiting, they had 12 people waiting for their sopa de tostones and carne molida, which totally surpassed its hype! Absolutely amazing! My husband ordered that and I ordered a bistec encebollado. The quantities are huge! The ladies at the restaurant were extremely sweet, the food was delicious, and the rice; I don’t know what they put in it but it’s beyond tasty! Must try!“

“My husband and I were in Jackson Heights today and initially chose a restaurant that, unfortunately, didn’t meet our expectations. We decided to leave and head home, a bit disappointed. On our walk back to the train, we stumbled upon Cafetales Grill and Restaurant—and what a find!

“Amazing place, the food was PERFECT. I definitely would return just for the food. The service is very good, it didn't take long for the food to come out, splendid. The atmosphere is interesting, very unique. It wasn't very spacious, but yer could definitely eat your food in peace, so that's great. Overall this place is a very nice place with the cooks' skills honed to perfection.“

“I've been getting food from here for over 6 years and it's easily one of the best places to get empanadas!
They are very generous with the proteins, the empanadas are fully stuffed, and delicious. They have about 50 different options to choose from and they do not disappoint. All the sauces are really good as well.“

The only disappointment was the drinks — we had one glass of wine and two margaritas, and they weren’t as good as we expected. Overall, the food and service were the highlights“

“My second time trying this place, food portions are big, we ordered; one appetizer and one entry, it was enough for two. About $80 to $100 per person. Steak tastes fresh though ordered temperature both times was not accurate. I prefere medium well but we got a medium rare, however I am not picky, it still was delicious, maybe a tad more seasoning would hit the spot.
SERVICE: Ok
FOOD: A solid 4 stars, Tastes fresh, shrimps where cooked PERFECTLY, I am not a big fan of tostones (flied plantain flats,) HOWEVER their tostones, I could eat all day. They are THE BEST tostones i have ever tried. They Guacamole is really good, and goes perfect with the tostones.
ATMOSPHERE: Relaxed, welcoming, some light music might go very well.“

“I've ordered a cake and buffet for my daughter's baptism. It was by far the best cake I have ever tasted! Prices are extremely reasonable. The owners are very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious! from the appetizers to all the combinations of pernil, chicken, salads, rice, and pastries.They are very clean, organized and on point. My new fav spot for all my gatherings. This place is highly recommended!“

“Ive gone to colombian bakeries and so far, this place has the best pan de Bono I have tried! Its so soft and perfect amount of cheese. I will say the empanadas didnt taste as fresh. The chocolate was really tasty. The waitress was also really nice, along with the atmosphere!“
