“I love this place, the food is so homemade and so delicious, it doesn't have excess seasonings or is heavy and it always has the perfect amount of salt?, the people who work at this place are so helpful and friendly that I could eat here every day, I love this place and it is super clean, I definitely recommend it!!“
“The food was great. The atmosphere and service were very nice. I enjoyed the music and the waitress was very kind and respectful. She recommended me a dish, so I ordered it. I loved the dish. I don’t know what it’s called but all I can say is that it was very delicious. In addition to the meal, it was very appetizing and appealing. So, I would recommend this restaurant. It’s very nice, brilliant atmosphere and service and delicious food.“
“Such delicious food at Kaprichos! We definitely didn’t leave hungry! A friend and I visited for dinner on a weeknight and shared two arepas and each had a sweet burger and fries. The arepas were huge (could have been a meal themselves) and were very tasty— but my favorite was the sweet burger! It was both savory and sweet— the sauces were great and the sweet plantain was such a yummy and interesting addition! Would definitely recommend for a quick and delicious dinner in Sunnyside ?“
“Came to casa on a Friday night for dinner with a group of friends, love the fact they had a dj on Friday playing great music, so the night started good, all the food was great , the shrimp and garlic sauce was the winner, and they have a great drinks, thank you Isabella for taking care of my group!! Love it..“

“Between the staff & the food & the service ? Everyone there was top tier professional and super sweet! They celebrated my mommy to the max! The food was amazing & so tasty ! I would recommend everything in the menu if I could! Thank you guys for an amazing experience!!!!!!!!“
“Everything was excellent, the truth is that every time we come they serve us very well, the drinks are delicious and the food is not to mention, 10/10, it is always our stop! A super comfortable place to eat, drink and dance, Jairo is an excellent waiter!“
“The best chicken soup in the LIC delivery area. When I'm not feeling well, I don't have energy to my make my chicken soup from scratch. Found this place on yelp, and their soup is by far the most homemade tasting ever. So comforting and delicious! Sorry no pic because I finished it too fast.. but had large chunks of carrot, potatoes, herbs and lots of fresh fall off the bone dark meat chicken.“
“It is a super nice and pleasant place, the fruit salads and their cholado are delicious and the service is very good, I always go when I can and the experience is excellent.I will soon have my birthday there with my friends and family.Super recommended.❤️“
“The Colombian tamaleria is a beautiful corner of Colombia in the majesty of the Great Mazana, for those of us who are passing through it is a great place to evoke family moments, remember a breakfast at home or a weekend lunch. For those who have more time to visit, in this place you can find a games space with pinball machines and slot machines, on weekends they have live music and a large dance floor. The menu presents a tour of the typical dishes of our country, including a rib broth, three-phase sancocho, suckling pig, tamale, arepa with cheese, chicharrones, patacones, empanadas and much more, very rich flavors and fair prices for this city. I would return with the greatest of pleasure.“
“Well, the place is very nice, the service in general is very good, I recommend it 100%, it covers all expectations, greetings to inca paisa!!!! Katherine, Valentina and Sthephany very good serversParking: Very good, very reliableKid-friendliness: Of course the atmosphere is familiar“
“Fantastic food and service! Natalia is a very attentive and sweet waitress and her service was excellent. The bandeja paisa was delicious and so was the tostones rellenos ? the ambience was great for family night or date night, with live music mixed with TVs showing the games. My husband and I will be back!“
“12/10. Incredible food. Large quantity of food for the price, and extremely high quality. Few ways in which could be better. Excellent service as well, and very clean and up-beat atmosphere. Thank you Isabel and our other waiter for a fantastic evening!! We will be back ??“
“$25.00 for a plate of pernil, octopus, arroz con gandules, ample portion and well worth it. The guy has magical cooking skills. Lechon is falling off the bone, everyhing is delicious, tasty. It's in the Bronx, well worth the trip. He is leaving for Aguadilla, Puerto Rico soon to open a Lechonera there. What a loss. The guy is so charming, really nice man. Food is just amazing.“
“(Translated by Google) Excellent and cozy I loved the homemade flavor that I found in this place, everything was very fresh and I felt very well attended (Original)Excelente y acogedor me encanto el sabor casero que encontré en este lugar todo muy fresco y muy bien atendida me sentí“
“I absolutely love this place! my parents are in town and what better way to celebrate them and Good Friday than by bringing them to Barriles. Food is always delicious, drinks are the best and the customer service they provide is top notch. No matter the day of the week, time of day, the staff is always professional, attentive and like family. By the way, they have the best margaritas…I had the passion fruit one with Don Julio!“
“It's a great coffee and breakfast spot!! They have lots of Colombian bakes. My favorite is always Pandebono, which is cheesy, a little sweet roll, I love it with coffee. I had also they healthy breakfast sandwich Bella, which is grilled portobello mushrooms, avocado, lettuce mix, walnuts, carrots, onions, and parmesan cheese and I also added sunny side up egg. It was really good. I'm definitely recommending this spot. ?“
“not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but for the love of jesus, why was my fried fried fish in need of flavor? it looked amazing -- sadly, it didn't taste amazing. the green sauce on the table, same thing: no salt! damnit. it is a dream to make it to JH just for the joy of colombian culinary goodness. once again, mario's (fried fish) failed to impress. and i love fish. ?“
“Enjoyed a delicious and satisfying meal together with a friend. The Bandeja Tipica was a must try, offering a spread of traditional Colombian eats that truly delivered on authentic taste. Steak lovers won't be disappointed by the Entraña cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself has a casual atmosphere, making it a great spot for a relaxed and flavorful dining experience.“
“Great restaurant with great prices, great food, and great music. Service is fast and friendly. Wait time for food is very low. The restaurant is clean, restroom is clean too. There is also a bar inside for anyone wanting a drink. Outside seating available too.I've been several times now and the food never disappoints. Have had the breaded chicken breast with fries, breaded shrimp with rice, beans, salad, and sweet plantains. The bandeja paisa is also very good. The portions are great.“
“The girl who served us at the entrance (Angelica) seemed curt, dry and a little rude, but the waitress who served us later at the table was super friendly (Alexandra).Very good food… if it weren't for the girl at the beginning I would give 5 stars.“
“The food was good and the service was amazing. The menu isn't completely authentic but delicious. The young lady was very attentive, charismatic, and helpful. The place has a modernized look and needs just a little more feel of Colombia, but the music made up for it.“
“Delighted with the food, the atmosphere in the back and Elberth's attention, which is the best! Always attentive to his clients, super friendly and willing to provide a great experience. That's why every time I can I go to Mr. MarioParking: It is very difficult to find parking. Terrible!“
“A marvelous restaurant. Great atmosphere - obviously very popular with the locals. Great menu, can be adjusted to suit the diners. Huge portions - come hungry! Staff very friendly. Helpful in describing certain dishes etc. Alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks are available. (the lemonade is out of this world!)Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access. Staff helpful in organizing a table.“
“Inviting and delicious experience. Food was very flavorful. Tostones with guacamole was a great balanced app. The guacamole was creamy acidic right amount of tomatoes and onions. The arepas didn't disappoint. Lots of meat the arepas were filling, fluffy, chewy the right texture. The decor felt like we were in a garden, leaves, flowers quaint and cozy. The service was perfect. Courteous, friendly and patiently explaining all our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Will come back again soon!“
“Authentic Colombian food. From the portion sizes to the seasoning, you can't go wrong ordering some good Colombian food.Personally, I think the menu is way too complex and way too many options. Options that are not even Colombian, which I found unnecessary & distracting. Service was good. However, they brought appetizers and mains at the same time. Given the generous portions, there was simply no room in the table for all the dishes. Drinks were ok & environment, cozy. Def enjoyed my meal & will not hesitate to come back if in the area.P.s: never seen Yuka fries done this way. They were ok. And their green sauce, uffff so good.“
“I first ate here in 2012 with about 20 Colombian adoptees and have been back so many times despite not living in Queens. I thought it had a different name, but I recognize the decor. This place was amazing and we went around lunch time. Many of us have friends and family in Colombia and we loved this place so much. I remember going there with a friend and not really knowing for sure how to get there one time as we took the subway, but I was still able to locate it. During that weekend we also went to an overpriced place, attempting to be "upscale" and it was no where in the same category as this restaurant. They other place even ripped us on the bill because there were some many of us and they claimed we "must have bought alcoholic drinks". They ripped us off and a girl had to put it on her credit card to get the reservation and now the bill was about $300 to $375 more and we all knew what we ordered food wise and nobody drank I'm excess so we just all chipped in to cover this rip of. If that's not bad enough they had our event published in some magazine or newspaper. Don't waste your time with those places, go here and you will not be disappointed. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Ciao.“
“I’m so happy that I ignored the reviews and ordered from here anyway. I’m Colombian, so if I think the food is good it’s because it is! Their hot chocolate was authentic and delicious! Their buñuelos are huge which is a plus! The portions of their dishes are perfect. I was extremely happy with my order. I’m so happy that I was able to order through seamless and they delivered to me 2 miles away. My food and drink were hot and fresh! I was so delighted that I even called the restaurant to thank them because their hot chocolate spoke to my soul. I can’t wait to try their soups over the weekend.“
“I have been dining at this wonderful family location for over 20 years that in my opinion should be considered a landmark. The service is unmatched, the Colombian food served here for lack of a better word is "Perfect" every single time I come here the food reminds me so much of my childhood with my own Colombian family. I highly recommend this location nestled in the middle of Jackson heights. So if u want good food, great service and affordability then this place is the spot to come to.Kid-friendliness: Highly family friendly.“
“Ok so the food here is PRETTY DAM GOOD like I got an arepa and shorty got a arepa as well it was delicious . The ISSUE WAS ITS WAY OVER PRICED IM TALKING ABOUT LIKE COME ON 43 BUCKS FOR 2 AREPA AND 2 DRINKS I WAS STILL HUNGRY AFTER EATING THIS SO U understand portions are on the small side and its pricey but definitely taste great just not worth the price there's tons of other options where u bang for ur buck.“
“Let me tell you, the people who work here know what they are doing. First off, either the owner or manager calls me Reina every time I step in there and they are all just so kind. It has a very Colombian homey vibe, and the food is absolutely delicious. I've gone there a few times already but what truly steals the show are the empanadas for me, every time. They are sooooo freaking good, with a little soupy-potatoey ness inside, and healthy amount of meat. I love coming here!“
“Went here for a breakfast/brunch with my mom and we got the Mexican and Colubian breakfasts along with a coffee each. We also got the guacamole and jalapeños sauces.Coffee was very nice, not too strong and very smooth. My mom loved the Mexican breakfast. The beans were very flavorful and the egg scramble paired very well with pickled jalapeños. The tortillas were nice and hot and didn't break apart even when piled high with beans, rice, and eggs. Highly recommend.I also very much recommend the Columbian breakfast which came with an arepa with cheese, steak, and the same egg scramble. The steak was pretty good. While thin and cooked all the way through, it was crusty, well seasoned, and tender. I poured loads of the jalapeño sauce on top which was great. The arepa was also very nice, crispy bottom and nice gooey cheese. The sauces were also pretty good. I highly recommend the jalapeño sauce. A little kick balanced with a good sour and sweetness. The guacamole sauce was also pretty good, if a bit watery. The portions of the meal were perfectly good and filled you up but for $15 a pop, it's most definitely not an every morning meal. The highlight really was the service. Thr food arrived quickly and hot. The lady at the front desk was very nice and offered for us to finish our meals before paying. She seemed very enthusiastic and was happy to give me more jalapeño sauce when asked. The dining area itself was clean and cute. Nice music and vibes. The cushions on the seats were clean and not deflated and the tables were very clean.Overall, very nice place to eat with some damn good food. If you're looking for a great weekend breakfast/lunch, come here.“
“We wanted to try something new and came across this spot in Flushing. When we entered at 11 am, the restaurant was packed. We ordered a Colombian Soda, one chicken empanada, one beef empanada, Huevos Pericos con Arepa, Queso y Mantequilla, and Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos. The Colombian Soda was different from popular flavors in the US; it had a bubblegum flavor to it. The salsa that came with the empanadas was amazing. It had a little spice to it and just hit the spot. The salsa was so addicting. The eggs in both dishes were great, but overall the Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos stood out more. The steak in the Calenteado con Carne a la Plancha y Pericos was flavorful and a nice piece.Overall, we would go back to try other menu items and their empanadas and salsa again. Their menu featured a variety of different dishes, as well as special dishes depending on the day of the week.“
“Wow, I enjoyed this menu. Great Latin dishes like classic carne asada, ceviche, empanadas, cheese bread, arroz con camarones, lots of seafood, yummy yucca fries, a variety of home made fish stews and soups. Daily lunch specials make this place a great value. Table service or bar seating available. Every server was friendly and hospitable. Totally will return, especially for the lomo saltado de carne y pollo. And the tres leches dessert!“
“This is the best place to party!!!!! Super nice environment with good people, good energy .. the best music and a staff. The owner is a down to earth person ..very good with his guests. I recommend this lounge for a nice time!! Always.Toma pa que gocez.❤ ??“
“This is by far one of the best bar/restaurant in the neighborhood. I go there often, their stuff is extremely attentive, helpful and good service overall. Their cook is fantastic, and the owners are superb!!. Super recommended for their food, drinks and ambiance. Great salsa-latino vibes.“
“HELLO IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I WOULD GIVE IT THE TRUTH THE ATTENTION THE FOOD THE PERFECT ENVIRONMENT I SPENT A NICE AFTERNOON WITH MY FAMILY.ESPECIALLY THE WAITRESS WHO WORKED WITH ME, VERY PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, NICE, THE TRUTH SHE TREATED ME LIKE A QUEEN, AS SHE TOLD ME.IN GENERAL ALL THE STAFF THAT WORKS VERY FRIENDLY.THE ONLY THING WE DIDN'T LIKE WAS THE BEANS BUT I HOPE THEY IMPROVE IT WITH THE SUGGESTION WE GAVE. (The beans weren't bad, it just didn't have Sazón for my taste)100% RECOMMENDED WOULD COME AGAIN“
“Known on google now as "Antojito's," this is the REAL DEAL. Tastes just like food made in Colombia, and the portions size match (in Colombia serving are hefty, as they should be!) so it's win-win here. The service is quick and will encourage you to come back. I know I'll be back soon!“
“Wanted a light snack and decided to try the empanadas here. Gentleman in the front was very helpful and accommodating, took my order and payment. Food was ready ~10min and was piping hot. Well made, good portion, baked empanadas that were very tasty. I will try other dishes here when in the area with no hesitation.Parking: Double parking or paid/unpaid street parking in the vicinity.Wheelchair accessibility: Manual doors, vestibule with more doors, not wheelchair accessible without assistance.“
“love this spot!!!! 100% recommend it. the line is alittle weird and the wait is 10-25 minutes depending on time of day but their plate of rice carnitas avocado, plantains and their special pink is the BOMB!!! seriously it’s so packed full of flavor you won’t regret it i’ve come here more times then i can probably count and it’s a 40-50 minute drive from my house. also they have a chimi sandwich it is also awsome i wouldnt put i above the plate of food but it is definetly good“
“Hands down to one of the best (If not the the GREATEST) Colombian restaurant in Queens with a tradition for decades maintaining quality foods and service top nosh! Thank you for been excellent all this time and bringing deliveries to my family even during the pandemic or a storm like today on a Sunday. Los quiero! ?Vegetarian options: Salads, arepas, cheese, juicing, Beans, rice, plantains, soups, etc.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free arepasKid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on lower level easy access“
“I have only had the 'picada" which can easily feed two people. It's made to perfection. Not overfired. the green and red sauces that you get on the side enhances the flavor. This plate is not only delicious but affordable. The restaurant is always clean the staff is friendly.“
“the staff here are angels! the bakery's ambiance feels like home and it's so nice to have a colombian bakery not in queens! the pan de bono, buñuelos, pan de queso are my go tos but love their breakfast and other snack breads and pastries. a neighborhood staple!“
“All very well. He gave me great advice, I had roast chicken with rice and a fried egg. With a freshly made cheese bread...And the waitress with a smile on her mouth and ready to serve it quickly. It's a shame that you don't come here often, but if you're here, don't hesitate. A success out of 10.“
“Had to drive my dad to an appt at the medical office next door so I ended up parked right outside this place. I was curious and popped in to get some empanadas to go. Just had them and they were really good. A little greasy but not sure if that was just because I didn't eat them 'just made', but they were delicious. They have tables but I don't know that I'd eat there - definitely a grab and go place for me. Flavor's good. Very authentic. If you're expecting fancy "white-washed" Colombian (yes that's a thing) this is not the place to go. If you're just looking for something tasty and not too expensive and real deal - I'd recommend it.“
“We went here for Chicken. It was delicious and really reasonable prices. The place is clean and neat, bathrooms were clean. They have a sister place on Long Island and it is very different. We live close to the one on long island. Columbian Chicken is really good. I really enjoyed myself.Kid-friendliness: This is a pretty family place. Its build into the culture“
“A great place to eat Columbian food in Queens. There’s many Columbian restaurants but this is actually my favorite. It has good deals especially for lunch specials try the soups on the weekends! And Bandeja paisa was quite good. I will definitely return!“
“The best Colombian Restaurant and Bakery in the area, delicious seasoning and very good service, has a new space to share with good music and watch your favorite sports. super recommended 5⭐️The best Colombian Restaurant and Bakery in the area, delicious seasoning and very good service, has a new space to share with good music and watch your favorite sports. super recommended 5⭐️“
“Latin Sports Bar along Roosevelt Avenue. Plenty of screens to watch games. Colombian style food and some Tex-Mex. Marcella my waitress was so attentive and she is an incredible menu reciter. The way she explains the specials is fantastic! I ordered the special Colombian rum mojito and my friend ordered an espresso martini. Both drinks were delicious!“
“Hands down the best Colombian restaurant in the NYC. I’m Colombian but don’t live in NYC. I have stopped at several Colombian restaurants in different areas every time I come to NYC to visit or during layovers to international destinations, this one is the most authentic and I truly felt like in a restaurant in Bogota. I LOVED the food, service and prices. The empanadas were FANTASTIC. Probably the best I’ve had in the U.S. in general. The bandeja paisa and the beans were to die for. Best beans I’ve had! The flavor and seasoning of everything was on point. The pandebonos were perfectly made. I couldn’t have been happier with my experience. I miss Colombia daily and this place made me feel like I was home.“
