“Everything I’ve tried here has been delicious. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing even cold. The chocolate chip cookie had the perfect salty-sweet balance. I don’t even like blueberries, but their blueberry bun with cream cheese frosting was so good I had to pause. The blondie was soft and rich and just right.

It’s really hard to find a bakery where everything hits. This place does. You can tell there’s real care in the food. This isn’t just baking to bake, there’s love in it.“

“I can’t rave enough about my experience at Ras. I had great service and probably the best meal during my visit to NYC. I came for lunch on a weekday and the whole menu, including brunch, was available. Since they are 100% vegan, it also meant that I could order anything and everything. Can there be too many choices? Everything looked great, but my waiter convinced me to get the chef’s special kitfo. There was also a nice selection of NA mixed drinks, and I ordered the Crown Heights queen—watermelon, ginger beer, mint and lime. I loved every sip and every bite of my meal. The chef’s special was packed with flavor and different textures. Each bite felt unique from the last. Kitfo is typically a ground beef, and their version is made from soy. That alone had such incredible flavor like it had been nicely browned to build out the complexity of the dish. The drink was equally good. I could have started on a second meal immediately after finishing my lunch. Not because I was hungry, simply because the food blew my mind. Updated from previous review on 2026-04-17“

“Very impressed since they was decorating the place. I was passing by every day till they finally open and I desire to try the food, I was curious and also I’m not a vegan person. When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. So thankful to have them at the neighborhood, the service is excellent and Yesenia and her employees super professionals. The ambiance and decoration soo relaxing- I love the food and the service, how they welcome you, is hard to find a place like that. “I make a habit to go to Seitan’s Helper every time I’m in New York for work. I get 4 sandwiches , to also have with me for traveling back on the train.
As a vegetarian , getting a good sandwich is hard … but these 2 take sandwiches to a new level and make them above and beyond.

On top of the amazing food , the 2 owners are lovely people, and are always jamming out to some 2000s pop-punk

I’m so fond of the texture of both of these products!

I always order sesame flavoured versions of desserts, I really enjoy them. I used to live by a Japanese Supermarket and a Korean Supermarket with stalls inside for bakeries. The flavour was a nice toasted nuttiness. I really loved the texture, reminding me of between a soft sugar cookie and a shortbread cookie!

“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! “This was our second time going there. Our daughter goes to Pratt and it's walking distance from the school. It's a small diner but friendly staff. On one of the coldest days of winter the host made sure people were not waiting long for tables as best as she could. The food was good and service was really good. I'm glad my daughter has a place like this close to her dorm.“

Food is always insane and there’s basically no bad dishes on the menu, although the Moroccan Fish Tagine, and Greek salad with chicken are my favorites. Special shoutout to Eric for the great service and for recommending the labne cheesecake.“

“This Thai restaurant in Brooklyn is absolutely amazing. Every dish tasted authentic and full of flavor. I really loved the decoration and overall atmosphere, and the outdoor garden at the entrance is perfect for photos.

I highly recommend the Mook Kung Curry — it’s so flavorful and goes perfectly with rice. The Thai Style Pork Over Rice was also one of my favorites. The pork belly was fried crispy and delicious. Their cocktails were great too, and very beautiful.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and come back again!“

“Super unique and delicious maple praline brown butter pancakes! More cake than pancake. The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. “Food was amazing for my cousins birthday. I only wish that the steak portions were a bit larger for the cost.
Hangersteak did take an hour half to be plated. Seated at 530 steak came at 715.
Salmon was a little under for my liking and was taking off the bill with no issues. Friendly waitress same girl that did my anniversary dinner there.

“I ride hard for this restaurant because not only is the food delicious and well priced, but it is one of increasingly few restaurants in the area (or even the city...) where you can sit down at 10:30 or 11:00pm and have a full meal without being rushed. This has become a vestige of old New York because people have started eating so early since covid. Drives me crazy. Thank god for Tabare. It's also super cozy and dark, great for small groups or a date.“
