“Great small and quaint bar next to the 7 line this was like my fourth time frequenting this wine bar. The bar itself is very cozy and with unique decor. Besides serving many wines they have cocktails with unique names and beers. We were there for happy hour and had wine with a spread. We also ordered a charcuterie plate. We enjoyed playing a card game and stayed until the jazz performers played their numbers. We really enjoyed our night.“

Drinks: If you like sweet cocktails, “Crush on you” and “Make it clap”. If you prefer Smokey cocktails “Ms. Fat Booty”. If you prefer more bourbon, “Rebirth of Slick”.

Music isn’t too loud, a good balance of hip, loudness, and casual.

They have variety of drinks like wine, beer, and cocktails. Something for everyone.

Staff are friendly, and you can comfortably chat with locals.

It would be local 5/5 place for me if they had some small bites along with the drinks. Maybe some fries, fried peanuts, small bite tacos/tater tots.“

“Came here on a Thursday and booked the center table. Everything from the vibe to the music, to the delicious cocktails to the hospitality was 100!! I haven’t danced like that in so long. And the staff was so accommodating - big shout out to Bri and the server working the floor! I even left my blazer behind and they were very helpful when I came back days later for it. “Very nice staff inside, drinks were good. I am down for a pat down and appreciate safety, but I arrived at at 8pm and during the very lengthy and thorough pat down the bouncer kept asking if I'd been bar hopping and that if I'm intoxicated I can't go in...which also fair, but I'm in my forties, it was 8pm, and I was entirely sober. Respect taking a job serious, but I felt oddly unwelcome and it set a tone for us that the kind inside staff didn't quite undo. I would be hesitant to bring a guest here again.“

Food
Perhaps the least expected, but the food here is actually great. The highlight of it all is the grilled chicken caesar salad, we have yet to find a better one in this neighborhood. The tacos and grilled cheese are also not bad, but maybe more your typical bar stock.

Service
The bartenders all have a kind of calm, amicable presence. In the three years I’ve lived nearby, I’ve never seen even a trace of impatience, even on busy nights. They’re always getting into conversations with the locals, and it gives the place a friendly vibe.

Ambiance
I think this place is underrated as a date spot. It’s not fancy, and sometimes some of the tables can be a bit sticky (hey, spills happen it’s fair). But the lighting is nice — a warm amber light fills the place, and I think it makes you look better. I always feel like I have good conversations with people here, and I can’t quite say why, but I think it’s the vibe. If you’re not looking for anything too fancy, and just want a down to earth place to meet up with someone, this is your spot.

“Definitely a fun bar to hang out in and the staff was very personable. The drinks were decently priced and there were plenty of places to sit and space out between groups. The only drawback is the overly loud music at some points which can make conversation difficult.“

“This place has it all - great food and great service. Staff is super friendly. Restaurant is very clean and spotless. Great vibe. We were a party of 7 including kids 3 and 6 and had a great time. Many items for kids. The order was taken quickly and served quickly. Every item was very tasty, fresh and well prepared. We ate here twice in two days.“

“We returned on a visit to McLoughlins 38 years after it was the initial beacon on my arrival in the USA. From there I linked up with my friends , got a contact for a job , heard about accommodation going for rent and bumped into old friends. It created a network and a safety net for a whole generation of Irish immigrants. John is carrying on the traditional welcome provided by his father and uncle. “Everything was super delicious! 5 star for the food! We tried the mapo tofu, Lao Gan Ma chicken, fried prawn with crispy chili, and the la zi ji. We absolutely loved everything, so flavorful and satisfying. Super recommended! We will definitely be back to try the Peking duck next time!“

“Had a great time here with a group for a private party; we rented the back room which was perfect. Service was good, lovely ambiance, very nice outdoor space separates the main bar area from the back room. I don’t know if they have food, so I did 3 stars.“
